5 star products Amazon Fire TV Stick
I recommend you get a Amazon Fire TV Stick, I purchased a M8 android box 2 months ago but just found the amazon stick & am now gonna sell my M8 box because the stick can do almost everything that the M8 box can do (within reason), I have just bought another one for our bedroom & just bought one for my dad too! That's how much I like it. I have Kodi running on it & also the Showbox app so that just about covers all the best streaming out at the moment, it's fast & easy to use & on the up side it's very portable if you travel not far you can bring the streaming with you. I paid £25 (reduced price) for my first stick on Amazon & purchasedecision my second & third via Argos for £30 each but the normal price is £35 in the UK. Hope this helps

I have watched a review about amazon stick and Iwas impressed by this device and you confirm it.
The only one limitation is that I live in italy and here amazon stick is not just arrived. The second is that I watch sport on rojadirecta site or torrent stream reactor apk and I don't know if it's possible to install this apk and to watch rojadirecta I had to browse this site from my tablet because amazon stick hasn't a browser: is it right that hasn't a browser?
Thanks a lot for your replay

Not sure about the browser because I have no use for that cause I have a phone or laptop for that but it's probably possible? You can install a app via the Google play app store called Apps 2 Fire which with that app you can import downloads or installed apps from your phone to the Fire TV Stick! You can also mirror your phone too ?

(the nexus 10 is not available in my country)
A 1st gen Kindle Fire is a great tablet for gaming, watching movies and browsing BUT w/o all the bells and whistles like BT, camera, no SD expansion and no GPS. The device has a great development following and you can get a used one from $50 to $100
Thanks
Thanks but I was searching and i found the nexus 7 the best choice on the market right now!!!!!
But thanks anyway

Got this for $176, worth it?

hi there. I just won an auction of Asus Tf 101 (with the dock) about 199 NZD (163 USD) with the shipping fee, my total is 176 USD. do you think the price worth it? previously I have bought some crappy android tablets, and this is my first bought something from famous brand. I mainly will use this to read books, comics, maybe watching movies and playing games, but these are not really priority.
Do you think that price is justified? I'm currently living in new zealand, the electronic price here is ridiculously expensive, and the newest one is still priced 400-500+ USD. which is insane since this machine was released 3 years ago. I actually wanted to buy lenovo s6000, but unfortunately they don't sell it in new zealand, and the price is exceeding my budget.
since I probably will use this tablet for 3-4 years, my questions are:
1. is there any way I can replace the battery? (I never bought any hi-end tablet because most of their batteries are not easily replaceable)
2. is it still good for current gaming? not that I like tablet gaming though, but it would be nice if this tablet can play popular 3d games in android
3. for you who have used it for years, can it replace word processing in laptop? is it comfortable to edit documents in this tablet?
4. do I need to put screen protector or it's okay to leave as it is since it's use gorilla glass?

1. Yes, but you shouldn't need to since the battery life of the tablet is very good (especially with dock). You need a Torx screwdriver (I forget the exact size) to open up the tablet to get to the battery.
2. It's OK, but not very good for newer 3D games. But this is Android, not a PC. The best games aren't 3D.
3. No. Document writing sucks.
4. No need. Gorilla glass is great. But it is very glossy and is a grease/fingerprint magnet. If you want a protector, I'd get a matte one.
Enjoy your new toy. Flash KatKiss (4.3 or 4.4) on it and you should be happy for a while.

thanks for your reply, my tablet will come in few days. I'm so excited to try it.
also just wondering, is it recommended to dual boot ubuntu touch / android? I have seen some people do that, it looks amazing.
I bought mine when it was released and still using it. I also own an Iconia A100 (7")
I used the Iconia for bed reading with Kindle app but use the TF100 for web browsing and taking notes in meetings, it still runs great with 4.4 Kitkat ROM mentionned in an earlier post.
my tablet just arrived today. it looked fantastic, wow. I guess I will root and install a custom rom later.

Nexus Player on Sale @ Staples (Canada)

Nexus Player is going to be on sale at Staples from $109 to $69.99 tomorrow.
I've never had a Android box and thinking of using this as my starter box, using it for Live TV, Movies, Tv Shows, and thats about it right now. Is it worth rooting it? I've rooted many android phones, but not sure about benefits of the Box.
It wont do live tv unless you feed it from a source like HD Homerun or slingbox through the sling app. Keep in mind in order to do anything with it, you'll need a powered usb hub, adapters to fit the awkward micro-usb input and a wireless keyboard and mouse.

[Q] What's with the different box designs? B01 on the newer looking box, maybe?

Hello guys!
I'm planning to buy Shield Tablet as a multi-purpose media device. I also know all about the battery-related recall done last year.
There's this local online buy and sell store here in our country and I found someone who's selling the older model (the one with built in stylus) for a really good deal. Item's still in sealed box, never opened, and was given to him as a gift and he doesn't need it (at least that's what he said). I'm really rooting for the stylus that's why I don't really like the newer K1 in which I still have to buy the stylus separately and worry about where to put it when not in use.
Now here's the problem: the box of the Shield he's selling seems to be different from what you can commonly see on tech blogs and unboxing videos or even in Google image searches. Please refer to photos below (credits to whoever uploaded these photos). The one on the left is the 'common' box and the one on the right is the look of the unit's box he's selling. QUESTION: What's the difference between the two? Could it be possible that the one with the 'newer' looking design has the updated B01 battery and not the older Y01?
Please help! This is a really good deal and I don't want to pass up on it. Besides, I can't find a single Shield Tablet in malls around my city and this local online store is the only place I have found to have the Shield in stock.
Please help, guys! Will be waiting!
The Lollipop looking box (newer/second) has better odds of containing a B01. All of the B01* units I have originated in boxes like that. I only have a box for one of the 2 Y01 units and it looks like the older box (KitKat looking).
Personally I am partial to the Y01 units at the moment, and probably will be more-so once I've replaced the batteries in the Y01 units I have.
I may feel better about the B01* units when I've found a way to get reliable WiFi on every reboot. NOTE: I have no units that show as pure B01, only B01*

Best and cheapest android stick

What's the best android stick for your TV? I got a cheap one from eBay thinking I could stream movies from my laptop to the TV, but it won't let me do that
hi,
to stream via dlna or miracast, your stick must support that. always check the protocol used by the stick before buying and the possibilities of your hardware.
