I'm running the latest version of BM's MIUI ROM but every launcher I've tried ends up running really sluggishly and/or restarts itself, especially when closing the app draw. Rebooting the phone doesn't seem to cure the problem and I have now tried the Go Launcher and the premium ADW launcher. The standard MIUI launcher also seems sluggish when scrolling through the home screen pages although not to the same extent. Anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions that I could try?
Pressing the home button deposits me on the blank home screen as the icons slowly reappear.
Do a full wipe and try. A full wipe should fix it.
Or... You can use my MIUI SwAT rom!
Ok, will try and full wipe. If that doesn't work I'll give your ROM a whirl
Hey! I have my SGY. My problem is that when every time I restart my phone or remove the sdcard, the menu apps are rearranged by itself randomly. I have found a thread that is also like this. It says that it needs to clear the TwLauncher but I can't find it in the settings(manage apps>all). Is there a solution of this? Tnx.
Use another home launcher...I recommend GO Launcher Ex cause it's faster and smoother than TW Launcher...it also has an option to backup your icon arrangements...so no worries if the same thing happens...just restore your settings...if you still insist on using TW Launcher, go settings>applications>manage applications>all>Tw Launcher (maybe called Samsung Home...not too sure)...then click it and press clear data to reset your TW Launcher settings...
I also tried it. I clear its data and then I arrange the apps but after I restart my phone, the apps is rearranged again. Is there anything I need to do or install? Please explain briefly cause I'm a noob. But thanks for that info.
And I just want the default launcher of my phone(samsung home). Is it possible to solve my problem without using another launcher? HELP.
I'm afraid not...cause you must have a lot of apps in your SD card...it may help to allow media scanning to complete every time you reboot or remove SD card...allow all files to be loaded...don't interrupt the process...it this still doesn't work, I sorry to say it's TW Launcher's problem...
How can I fix it?
So i have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Paranoid Android 3.1 (March 1st build) and I also have Nova Launcher!
My home button used to always take me to the home screen! or main page! but randomly it keeps just opening recent apps! No matter what i do it just keeps opening recent apps i even went into nova launcher and assigned home to go to the home screen and still doesnt work! Any help or ideas!?
*EDIT
I just reset my phone and i think the problem seems to be Widget Locker which i used to replace my lockscreen, not 100% sure but it seems to be a bit buggy on 4.2 devices... it could even be some setting in it not 100% any help because this might happen again!?

That happened to me before even on CM10.1; I believe the feedback is sometimes unresponsively accurate.
But if you use Nova Launcher, you can manually take off "recent apps" and replace with "home". But, sometimes it thinks your quick press is a hold, haha. I just know reboot will quickly fix it... for now.

What kernal are you running? I've had this issue as well and have wondered if it's kernal related. The only thing I could do to remedy the problem was reboot the phone.

Rebooting the phone seems to always fix it, I was running the included kernel along with Nova launcher and would run into it after about a half day runtime

Hi, same happens to me! When I pull down the notification bar I see the lag....I don't know why is this. But apart from that, I don't have any lag in the apps drawer or any other part, it runs really smooth. The notif bar is the only problem I can find.

Hard reset is the same as a Factory Reset?
Hey All,
Running Android 7.1.1 on my Google Pixel with Nova Prime. I'm experiencing an issue where if I use the back button to escape an app, or if I swipe my messenger app away to close (signal 3.3, specifically), the Pixel launcher opens instead of Nova Prime. I'm always having to hit the home button to get back into Nova after closing apps. Anyone else experiencing this? Any fixes?
Thanks,
SC32a

I use Nova on my PureNexus NOF26W Pixel, but I didn't notice any problem with home returning, when I hit the button. The only issue I have seen is when I open recent apps menu, if I tap on "erase all" then my Pixel automatically go back to Pixel Launcher's home.
But this issue never happens again after first rebooting (after Nova installation).
Don't forget to set correct gestures in Nova's settings, and set Nova as defaut launcher on "Application informations"
Hey thanks for the reply. All I had to do was restart my phone and that fixed the problem! I tried everything else but didn't think to restart, all good now though.
