[Completed] Oneplus One Roaming

I own an Oneplus one. Recently i went to cambodia & indonesia for holidays. My horror started when I'm unable to use my data while roaming. I can receive & make calls. Only data i wasn't able to use. I did turn on the data roaming & selected the roaming partner which my current operator requested to. I also try *#*#4636#*#*. All of the above method did not work. Any particular reason why i couldn't access to data while roaming? Pls advise. tq

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I could be wrong, but it sounds like the phone is expecting some other pass key standard. My unrelated LG device has advanced Wifi settings (Settings > Wifi, then press menu key), but there was not much in the way of options that would get in the way.
At any rate, I am connecting this thread to the forum your device experts are found:

[Completed] Using Rooted Android 4.3 to connect to 802.1x proxy globally

Hello,
I have a Samsung galaxy s3 which is currently rooted. I want to use it with apps under a 802.1x wifi connection. Although to use the network successful I need to go through 2 authentication methods before pages actually load.
Firstly, I connect to the wifi through settings, turn on advanced settings and manual proxy. I put in the proxy address and port. Now I successful have established a connection with the wifi. However, any apps I try will not work with the internet except the stock browser. When I open my browser and attempt to load a website, I receive the 2nd authentication form, where I fill in my username and password, which is different to the one I used firstly. Once I enter my details, I can freely use the browser and load webpages. However, if I try any apps even with the browser still open in background they will not work.
I would like to use android apps under proxy but they come up with the error 'could not establish a secure connection' and I have no option to fill in my account details.
Thank you in advance

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I think the solution, and thus the hurdle to jump is to find an app that will allow you to authenticate via that app. It sounds like the second authentication is too proprietary for it to be baked into a ROM, even custom. If your proxy doesn't have an app (the I use for my subnet does), you may want to look at changing proxies for one that does.
At any rate, for any solution that doesn't occour to me (unless you have an S3 distributed by an American carrier - in that cause you can reply back here with that carrier and I can provide further instructions), please register for an account (so you can post in other forums), and add a post to the following thread (you can copy-and-paste what was asked here if you like):

[Completed] Changing SMSC Setting on Samsung Galaxy S4 - Without "Secret" Menus?... Possible?...

Changing SMSC Setting on Samsung Galaxy S4 - Without "Secret" Menus?... Possible?...
Phone: Samsung SCH-I545
Android Version: 5.0.1 (Still Verizon Stock)
I am at my wits end, and hopefully this forum can help. I recently ported over my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 over to Walmart Family Mobile (T-Mobile Network). Once it was transferred over (about 5 minutes later) I suddenly could not send texts. Internet, Phone, and apparently MMS messages seem to work, but plain SMS does not. I confirmed tonight that while I am connecting to any LTE 4G tower, SMS does not work. However, when I am on 3G or lower (Edge), I am able to send SMS.
When I read the forums (here and elsewhere) I saw that the solution might be to change the SMSC settings to the default for Walmart Family Mobile, which is supposed to be +12063130004. I try using the "secret" Samsung menu, but it seems to have been disabled by Verizon - it's just not there.
Here's what I've tried so far:
- Tried "secret" codes like *#*#4636#*#* (none work)
- Successfully rooted the phone
- Installed app "Advanced Signal Status", tried updating SMSC to +12063130004 (did not work)
Does anyone know of a means of installing the "secret" Samsung menu, or otherwise modifying the SMSC value?
Or, as a last resort, an app that would always send messages as MMS by default?
Thanks very much for any replies.

[Completed] Restrict certain wifi networks (with "restrict background data" disabled)

Without enabling "restrict background data" global setting in the phone, can i restrict data usage only for those hotspot wifi n/ws which are set as "restricted" or "metered" in the DataUsage->RestrictNetworks list?
(bcos I have an unlimited T-mobile data plan, hence no restriction on bg data when connected to my mobile nw. But in those places were my mobile n/w is weak and when connected to hotspot wifi n/ws I want to have the restricted data usage)
