[Q] Htc One M8 System Ui has stopped??? How to Fix? - General Questions and Answers

Im on TWRP recovery, and in the recovery menu i accidentally wiped internal sd, and now when i flash a new Rom, after it installs an i get through the typical new phone start up process, i get a message that says, Unfortunatley system ui has stopped, and another one that says htc dot view has stopped. And then when i get to my home screen i have no Status bar or navigation bar (soft keys) and my homescreen is just a black background. I can still access my apps but cant go back because there is no soft keys. I went into my settings, to my apps, and when i went to system ui to try clearing the cache its greyed out and saying "computting" forever. What do i do? I have a htc one m8 T mobile US with unlocked bootloader and S-On.
I've already tried factory resetting and flashing a new rom and i keep getting the same results. Please help!

I got the same problem too on my lenovo A316i :crying: pls. help!!

I had the same issue when using TWRP; took all of the steps mentioned below without success. I then flashed stock recovery and wiped - this fixed it

If system ui stoped and your phone running just copy the apk of system ui and replaced it system ui apk use a root explorer or every thing go to device/system/app then find the system ui apk then replaced it or device/data/app lib/and find again the apk and then replace it .......... If your system ui stopped and u cannot used your phone follow this steps go into 'stock' recovery mode and choose wipe data/factory reset that's it

My HTC one M8 sprint all of a sudden, after installing xposed came with this error: "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped. I cannot shut it down and my battery is inbuilt. I cannot even reboot. in fact, i cannot do anything. please help, what is or are the options I have. I am desperately in need of help. Thanks to any God sent in advance.

how would you go about unrooting and resetting EVERYTHING?

so I bought this MyTouch 4g from this guy at my job. He rooted and messed up some things (deleted important files i guess), and as I'm using the phone I get random force closes on certain applications. Turning on the phone takes forever, Loading pop up stays up for about 5 minutes before the homescreen is actually completely loaded. Sense Widgets are gone, when I try to load them, htc.RosieUtility.com has to force close. Email app force closes as well. When I try to recovery boot (Volume + Power), I get a ClockWorkMod screen.. which I am 98% sure is not stock.
He admitted himself he messed it up, so I bought it pretty cheap from him , but is there any way to reset EVERYTHING to factory settings, even though he deleted some things when he rooted and got into the system/app?
I could be wrong but try:
Home > Menu > Settings > Factory Data Reset
Unless you are comfortable with flashing a new ROM to the device.
Your right in thinking clockworkmod is nothing to with stock. But this is good. If he has messed up by deleting important apps and files the easiest way to solve this is to flash a new rom. Head over to the my touch 4g forums find a rom you like the look of download it to your memory card. Boot in to recovery, wipe data, wipe cache, install zip from sdcard and flash your new rom. This should solve all your problems and you will have a clean slate to start from.
I wouldnt worry about unrooting, i have heard of people Paying more for second hand phones that have been rooted. How ever if you did want to take it back to stock im sure there will be a guide in the my touch 4g forums

[Q] Boot Loop after Cyanogen Mod install. Help me please.

Hey folks,
I could desperately use some help here...
I rooted my Droid Incredible using UnRevoked, which was painless and easy. After that, I downloaded Rom Manager, then backed up my current Rom.
Then I downloaded Titanium, and backed up all apps and system data.
Using Rom Manager, I downloaded Cyanogen mod 7.0.2, checked google apps, DID NOT check wipe data or cache, and then clicked OK to let it work it's magic.
The system turned on and off a bit, and then the CyanogenMod boot screen came on, ran the arrow around the droidbot a few times, then the droidbot dissapeared, came back across the screen, and the arrow resumed circling. This happened about 20 times, before I gave up and powered off by removing the battery.
Then I loaded Hboot, and attempted to access items in Clockworkmod, but even though I could click on an item, it would show the top hat with no change in status for many minutes. I eventually tried almost all options.
My Hboot screen shows:
HBOOT - 0.92.0000
Radio- 2.15.00.07.28
I am unable to click on Fastboot, Recovery leads me to busted Clockwork menu, Clear Storage causes restart into looped Cyanogen Mod screen, haven't tried Simlock, and Factory Reset also goes to broken Clockwork Menu.
I downloaded the RUU file from Doug, changed the title as directed, and put it on the SD Card. It gave me the option to Update, which when restarted afterwards continued to loop in Cyanogen Mod screen. Or, if I went to Clockwork Mod screen, the font was now Green instead of Orange. Also, when I click an item in the Clockwork Mod menu, it simply goes to a black screen until I hit the power button to bring me back to the menu,
I'd love to just get the phone to a factory state, so I can possibly use it for it's purpose of calling and sexting (just kidding.)
Please help, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Oftentimes, ClockworkMod Recovery has an error at the bottom stating:
E:Invalid command argument
I have to go to bed for a bit, but will be back on around 10:30am EST. Thanks for any and all help!
In ClockworkMod, I can now access and start an operation by selecting it with the volume buttons, and then hitting the joystick button. This wasn't working previously. So, I've tried some of the obvious options such as Factory Reset but it's not doing anything. I've tried multiple solutions, which means I've probably messed it up on many levels. Is there any way I can just start from scratch or get a system restore done?
After utilizing that update from Doug, and then going into Clockwork Mod, clearing all caches and system data, and then trying to restore to a previous flash for the 7th time... I think it might be working!
Thanks to anyone who looked at this.

[Completed] Zopo ZP820 OS Corrupted-cannot reflash or reset

Ill try to be as descriptive as possible
Zopo ZP820 running 4.2.2
Phone worked fine the other day, went to use it yesterday morning, kept saying all running processes forced quit over and over, all google services, etc.
If i reboot the phone, it keep showing the same 4 Gmail emails, the same 4 text messages. If i go in and physically delete all of the emails and text messages, they are gone. If i reboot the phone, they all come back.
Also went in and uninstalled every single app on phone that was allowable, basically it went back to stock apps, even uninstalled all updates to all google services, etc.
Reboot the phone, everything is back to the way it was, apps and all, and this is after removing the SD card and powering off and rebooting.
Tried to do a factory reset from the settings screen, it reboots into recovery mode, the only options i had were to wipe cache and reset data/cache, when done, i reboot, and yet again it goes back to the same exact way.
It is almost as if the entire phone restores itself every reboot to the same setup.
Also tried using newest SP Flash Tools with 3 different versions of the ROM for my phone, the original stock one, the updated stock one and a custom MIUI one. I go thru the entire process for the two stock ones, it says it formatted and reflashed, but reboot again and it is back to same one that is corrupt.
If i try to use the MIUI one using the recovery option holding power and vol down, when i choose the zip file for the MIUI, it says installation aborted. And what is ieven more odd is that if i reinstall all of the programs or even new apps, if i reboot they are all gone as if they were never installed.
Is there a way that the phone can be totally wiped so that no trace of any files on the phone exist at all? in SP Tools there was an auto format and manual format i did both, but got the same results
Any help would be greatly appreciated
