*** APLHA DISCLAIMER ***
Remember, this is an ALPHA, 90% of the features are either incomplete or missing. There is bugs and it will crash. By using this ALPHA version, you understand that the app may be subject to data loss. I am not responsible for anything that happens to your device by installing this ALPHA version (Nothing should happen anyways, it's just an app).
Introduction
I started working on this project because I was struggling to find a way to keep track of my schoolwork and due dates. I hope this project will not only help me, but help the millions of other students who need a good school planner.

Alpha Information
As you can see, this project is currently in alpha. I have about 5-10% of the app coded, there is a lot of bugs, it will crash, and you "might" lose assignment and class data if you choose to use this for your schoolwork while it is in alpha. I am allowing an ALPHA download because I want to get early feedback and suggestions that will make this app the best of the best. If you do decide to download and install this, please leave feedback, that is all that I ask. Also, if it crashes, a bug/crash report will automatically be sent to me so I can take a look. (via Parse Crash Reports). ANY suggestions are appreciated! Feel free to leave feature requests also!

Update 7/28/15 (Sorta!)
It's been over a month since the last update, that is mainly because I chose to focus my time on other things this summer but I am getting back on this project. I am currently debating switching backends and rewriting some parts of the app. If I choose to do this (I most likely will), it will hopefully improve some stuff when it comes to logging in and stuff. The bad part of this is that it will push back the final release version to around September or October (Possibly November). But, while this is into the start of the school year, it will improve user experience and functionality all around and make for a better final app!

I do like the grading plan...that's a feature not found in other planners. Definitely get this when you can...

WooHoo! v0.0.5 is up!

Great job I am really hoping sync comes soon because that would be perfect

The concept is great I'd love to use this. Only problem... I cant finish the task, the check mark doesnt work... And class crashes the app. I know its alpha but being able to add something is the main thing that should work xD. Anyway hope you keep updating this.
Regards,
Bart

Bug fix update posted. v0.5/r12.
What services are you using? Please suggest me what to support next.
Very nice start! This is very promising! I like how you are handling the article listings, with the large thumbnails behind the headline.
A few changes I would make:
* Include an option to group together articles under a single source header. The source headers take a lot of real estate and are very visually distracting due to their brightness.
* make the source headers a outlet more subdued visually, dim the background and the text.
A couple of things I would need to make it a daily driver:
* A dark mode
* A widget
I went ahead and bought the ad free IAP to show my support. Good luck and thank you for sharing your app!

Haha, I will do so in todays update.
Really love this app sir and already gave 5 star on play store.
Looks awesome on both phones and tablets, really nice design. 5 stars
BTW, can you update the app icon, looks quite blurry on high res screen
Thank you guys, i tried to let the app look a bit like our loved Play Store.
I have a suggestion, dunno if its easily executable or not but here is what I imagined:
I'm a flashaholic, because since I don't know how to program android, as much as I would love to learn, I like to give back to the community by bug reporting and helping early or newborn roms to grow, (I'm a volunteer guinea pig in other words).
With that in mind it'd be great if the app could have a Rom Development News section where teams like PA, Carbon, CM and etc could update people about new rom developments and releases.
I go through XDA jumping from thread to thread to get that kind of information when I have free time to test new roms or builds and its an extenuating task.
To have it all in one place would simply be AMAZING!!
Also to avoid excess information and clutter integrate a filtering system that filters your updates/RomNews by Phone(s) model (either automatically or manually) and the ability to select your Roms of interest from an list of available devs/teams! I saw a kind of similar feature on the ROM Toolbox app, but it is not updated at all (last time I checked).
I'll leave a pic bellow.
Just a suggestion, unfortunately I don't have the knowledge required or I'd go for it, it'd be my first app!
Nonetheless, loved your app, found it very very useful! Thank you for your hard work!

Hi, do you mean like a own news section for ROMS? Like reading the rss feeds of cyanogenmod, paranoid etc?
I think thats a great idea too!
Fantastic app! However, is it (or could it be made to be) possible to see the sources in the feed items? As it stands, I can see the article titles, preview text, time/date stamps, preview image and comments count, but nothing about where the article actually originated. Otherwise, this is great!

Just downloaded this app to try it.
Nice UI, seems quite useful. I'll get my gf to install it as well to really try it out.
I thought the initial setup screens were very well designed and easy to follow.
Suggestions at the moment would be maybe a widget for contacts busing the app. So I can just tap the widget to share my location with a particular contact.
Keep up the good work.

[APP] CutCalc - Simple cutting data calculator v1.2

Some of you may know me as a ROM/Kernel dev or simply as a Forum Moderator, but the time has finally come to explore a new direction in our beloved Android world: App development
Those of you who know me already know that I never planned on working with java, simply because I always hated it This, however, has slightly changed in the past couple of weeks. I still don't like it and would chose C over java in a heartbeat, but I started to accept java
But now, enough of me talking crap you all don't care about. Time to present to you my newest creation: CutCalc.
As the name already suggests, it's a calculator for cutting data. (no, not data for cutting your meat, for drilling, milling and turning )
I am working as a mechatronics engineer and have to calculate a lot of cutting data for milling, turning and drilling, which is why I needed a fast way to do so. But to my surprise, I wasn't able to find anything useful on Google Play. So I created my own app with the goal of keeping it as simple as possible. I do have to apologize for the graphical design though, I was never good at that
But now, you may ask yourself "So what is this app capable of?"
It can calculate the needed RPM as well as the feed rate for Milling, Turning and Drilling
With just one click you can double the result for when you are working with PVC or similar materials
You can set your own default values for all variables (such as cutting speed, feed per blade,...)

Great to hear that!
I do have a question, though
Due to the fact that you are a RT and I suck at graphics, would you mind giving me a helping hand regarding the dark theme I am planning to implement? I need some pics to be modified but I suck with photoshop
EDIT: BTW, v1.2.2 pushed to GPlay with fixes regarding some Actionbars as well as FC fixes caused by empty textfields.
Nice app , for us mechanchiz !!

FAQ ? WIP
Looks phenomenal mate!
I have yet to put any time in the app beyond the initial few minutes to check it out but I am confused about few things:
1) I see duplicates of app on all screens. See attached pics.
Might have something to do with the fact that I have selected all the repos?
2) Sync log - What exactly does that mean that the following failed: 06, 12, 22, 23? They are always failing. Tried to sync from multiple networks.
Is there an retry attempt happening? Where can I find the reason for failure?
3) Any way to make the sync notification to show progress like how it is happening for F-Droid now + Can we make it go away after sync has finished?
4) Suggestion: Make it possible to see somewhere from what repo the app is displayed.
Thanks for the hard work.
Suggestion:
Add "Pull down to refresh / sync", so that we no need to sync everytime by going into the setting.
I think I love you... The Fdroid app is ass, and the alternative apps aren't much better.
Works great so far. Only thing, it would be nice if you could copy/paste a repos info.
Most of them have the url and fingerprint together. The F-droid app works that way.
Thanks and keep up the fantastic work.
In upcoming updates will be disponible to login with the google account with 2fa?

There is an option to do so, go to repolist & at the bottom click on 'Add Repository' you can either add repos manually or scan Qr to add.
You can also share repos, long press on repolist its to view info and share option.
Will write FAQs with such details soon.

I'm not sure why you would require logins in Aurora Droid.
And in case you are asking about Aurora Store, you can login with 2FA enabled account, you just need to generate app passwords and use the generated password to login.

Thank you, I appritiate your time.
I want to share 2 of my latest findings with you:
1) Search results do not display all of the possible results - I was searching for a specific manga app that I downloaded from F-Droid but I couldn't find it via Aurora Droid.
From what I can see it is because you do not search within the app's description for matching keywords while f-droid does.
I've attached few pictures for reference.
2) Icon loading times when browsing / searching are extremely high - Sometimes they will not be loaded at all.
Entering the apps displays the icon instantly.
:good:
Amazing app! Can I disable the view of apps from Google Play? I want find only from F-Droid ones.
Great app, more like what F-droid *should* be.
Couple of things tho:
>>When sorting by 'Date' it's from oldest to newest—lots of scrolling to see newest entries in categories.
>>Some app showing 'Incompatible App' even though they are not. Able to d/l and install from F-droid, but blocked from doing so in Aurora Droid.
Love this thing, keep up the good work. And, Thanks!

Cool! The 'Incompatible App' issue is fixed for me, but still >>When sorting by 'Date' it's from oldest to newest. Not really a big deal, though.
Thanks again

Fixed ! Wait for next release
Search function is still not up to par with official client.
Dunno what the reason this time. Attaching pics with the search term of "manga".
Thanks again for the app, it's a very cool one
Refreshing applications lists oesn't seems to update the repo applications.
So, in order for a application update to appear in the update section, you need to manually resync the repos. Well, It's he case atleast for me, would maybe be better to replace what the refresh action to directly resync the repos if it doen't already do that.
Issues aside, Aurora droid is as good as Aurora Store, very happy by both overall applications, and really appreciate its design (which has support for AMOLED screen which is a plus for me)
