[APP] CutCalc - Simple cutting data calculator v1.2 - Android Apps and Games

Some of you may know me as a ROM/Kernel dev or simply as a Forum Moderator, but the time has finally come to explore a new direction in our beloved Android world: App development
Those of you who know me already know that I never planned on working with java, simply because I always hated it This, however, has slightly changed in the past couple of weeks. I still don't like it and would chose C over java in a heartbeat, but I started to accept java
But now, enough of me talking crap you all don't care about. Time to present to you my newest creation: CutCalc.
As the name already suggests, it's a calculator for cutting data. (no, not data for cutting your meat, for drilling, milling and turning )
I am working as a mechatronics engineer and have to calculate a lot of cutting data for milling, turning and drilling, which is why I needed a fast way to do so. But to my surprise, I wasn't able to find anything useful on Google Play. So I created my own app with the goal of keeping it as simple as possible. I do have to apologize for the graphical design though, I was never good at that
But now, you may ask yourself "So what is this app capable of?"
It can calculate the needed RPM as well as the feed rate for Milling, Turning and Drilling
With just one click you can double the result for when you are working with PVC or similar materials
You can set your own default values for all variables (such as cutting speed, feed per blade,...)

Great to hear that!
I do have a question, though
Due to the fact that you are a RT and I suck at graphics, would you mind giving me a helping hand regarding the dark theme I am planning to implement? I need some pics to be modified but I suck with photoshop
EDIT: BTW, v1.2.2 pushed to GPlay with fixes regarding some Actionbars as well as FC fixes caused by empty textfields.

Nice app , for us mechanchiz !!

Unfortunately it looks like TheFoxute has ripped off this app (along with several other open source apps) on Google Play, with zero attribution to original authors (again). This is a well known problem with the Play store, and one reason I don't recommend using it.
So if you're looking to donate to open-source developers, know that in general "buying" from Google Play may not be supporting the developer, and worse yet, could possibly have some unwanted "extras" added by whoever changed the app and added it to Play.

Thanks for bringing this to my notice. Did not know of such cheap tricks! I will report the Play store app immediately.
EDIT: I notified both TheFoxute and the Play store support team about the infringement and the app got removed yesterday.
This badly needs an easier way to access and scroll through the records. It is so hard to tap the dots on the graph. Maybe when the info window comes up add the ability to swipe the very top to go through the records and keep the swipe at the bottom to scroll through created, deleted, changed. Or just add next and previous buttons. Also when I use the delete records from the options it does nothing, all the records are still there, and where does it save the log too also....love the concept, the UI just needs a few more options.

Thanks for the feedback!
I will be adding the UI improvements in the next version. The plot needs a refresh after data is deleted, have to fix that too.
Logging is part of the standard logcat, tag is the app package name.
Awesome, thanks. Keep up the good work.

ParallaPaper - 3D Parallax LiveWallpaper + Builder

Hi all,
here, I'd like to present you a small weekend-project of mine that somehow managed to make its way on GooglePlay

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
ParallaPaper is a LiveWallpaper with a 3D-parallax-effect and a builder or sandbox for such type wallpapers.
ParallaPaper is not only a parallax-type effect LiveWallpaper, it is more of a builder, a sandbox if you want, to create moving wallpapers.
You can disable the scrolling when switching home-screen-pages, or set the strength to whatever you might like.
Same goes for the parallax effect.
You can also set different images for portrait and landscape!
So even if you don't like the parallax effect at all, but want different wallpapers for portrait and landscape orientation you can use ParallaPaper!
There are some prebuilt wallpapers available and there might be more in the future.
Now, there is a paid version however
The paid version can display and edit up to unlimited layers (device memory restrictions may apply! In my experience its about 6-7 big layers)
With the paid version you can also import / export your creations
But ParallaPaper is focused around creating your own wallpapers and effects!
It's said that pictures say more than a thousand words so here we go
Also a short video I made quickly
Tell me what you think!
No really, tell me what you think!

- import / export now availible in the free version
- fixed issues with too large images
- tons of other bug- and crashfixes

Awesome app
I've been playing around with it a bit, and recently realised what it's true potential is, and hacked together a small background for it (with some images taken from other wallpapers).
Screenshot: i.imgur.com/Up0rks5.png
Download link: drive.google.com/open?id=0B7LkC2YAOkyEYWJaVjVFWmlBNlU
Nice
This looks really cool! I'm Trying this ASAP.
So, made some more wallpapers (cause i was bored)
I thought some ppl might be interrested:
Pokemon (Charmander):
- Image: i.imgur.com/NHu5qSQ.png
- File: drive.google.com/open?id=0B7LkC2YAOkyEOTE5ZlVVeWNNZzA
Portal 2 (The space core in the end ):
- Image: i.imgur.com/9PJdEig.png
- File: drive.google.com/open?id=0B7LkC2YAOkyEQ1RMczA4VTVueWM
These are a bit more simple, but i like them
Btw, i figured out, that you can send the exported files per WhatsApp, if you save them with the file extension ".txt"
Background of the app is transparent for me on Android 7.0. However, setting the wallpaper works fine. Here's a log.

I know about that... I'll fix it with an update as soon as my current main project (flatnote) is out of early access.
I have some pretty neat ideas for a "V2", which should also fix some pretty serious issues regarding memory consumption.
Until then it'll probably stay like that for a while

CoronaVirus Outbreak Tracker
- I was told from r/AndroidApps that I should also post my first application here, on XDA. Didn't know there was a specific thread for this, even though I've been a member of XDA for such a long time (mostly active in the custom rom area), so I thought it would be a great idea to share my app with you guys! -
- Here are some screenshots taken from the app (full quality here) -

DOWNLOADS & BUGS/FEATURES SUBMISSION
- DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL the latest official update of the application from my github page
- SUBMIT ISSUES/WANTED FEATURES on my Discord Server (recommended) or on my GitHub Repo
This application was built with data gathered from official sources like WHO & CDC.
FEATURES
- access the main latest stats of COVID-19 Outbreak like number of cases, deaths and recoveries
- access the COVID-19 SELF TEST, a diagnose system which will show an estimation on how probabily it is for a symptomatic user to have COVID-19 disease. (NOTE: The test is not meant to replace specialised medical advisory)
- notice the evolution of the virus across Mainland China and the rest of the world
- check out the latest and most popular headlines about Coronavirus Outbreak, share them with your friends
- access the infection world map with detailed stats about each affected country
- get user-location based stats and prevention advice
- push-notifications about latest global/country/state statistics with selectable interval (15 mins, 30 mins etc.)
- update the UI by changing background particle settings
- in app update system
APPLICATION PERMISSIONS
Since you're not downloading the application from Google Play Store, you may want to know what permissions does this app require and when/where they are used, so here we go.
- Internet Permission -> Pretty obvious, it's used to gather and parse the latest COVID-19 stats, news & data
- Location Permission -> Disabled by default, users can enable it if they want to use location-based stats feature, since this uses, as you may expect, GPS Localization
- Networkstate Permission -> Used to monitor whether the application is/isn't connected to the internet, so that it will know whether to update the stats or not
That's all.
WHY IS THE APP CLOSED SOURCE? WHY DON'T YOU POST THE SOURCE CODE?
I have received these 2 questions a lot. The answer is that there are a lot of scammers out there in this period and I'm afraid they can modify the code to their benefit, so I won't be posting the source code, at least for now.
THE STORY & MOTIVATION BEHIND
Google pulled this application twice out of Google Play Store, stating that it lacks sensivity towards CoronaVirus, which is obviously not true, since all it does is showing some actual real and official data (from WHO.INT & CDC) about COVID-19.
As a result, I decided that instead of having a never-ending argue with Google Support & erasing more than 3 months of development (since I did everything by my own), I should post this application as it is here, without having to depend on Google.
The main purpose of this application was to help people have all the stats about CoronaVirus at a glance, on their android smartphones, but since Google did everything they could to stop this, I found myself with no other option than posting the application here, in hoping that the app will eventually fulfil its purpose.
SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENTAs every major step in life takes a huge ammount of time, this application was no exception to the rule.
If you enjoy it and would like me to continue adding more features, please make sure you
DONATE & SUPPORT THIS PROJECT
Thank you!
