[Q] Internal Storage is Low - HTC Sensation

I have ARHD 7.3 installed and keep getting the storage is low notification constantly. This must be the system storage but I don't know how to check it.
I have nearly 400MB free from the 1.15GB user data partition
SD has 6GB free
Every app that can be moved to SD has been moved
Disabled the built in mail app as I read that it stores emails in the system partition
Uninstalled dropbox and facebook app
The only thing that seemed to help was to go to Storage and select the 2nd Make more space option and clear the "Temporary files from HTC apps" (currently 7.02GB). The problem with that is:
TuneIn radio app stops working with "System Audio" error message
Skype stops working properly too
If you do a 4ext/nandroid backup and reflash, the problems go away but then come back as soon as you restore the backup you took
Don't what else to try. Help!

The way I see it, low internal memory is a hardware limitation. Considering this is a 5 year old phone, there is little that can be done especially as newer apps are more bloated. The problem is even worse if you are using Kitkat/Lollipop based ROMs since the OS itself takes up a lot of space.
One workaround which you can try if you can manage to get a high speed SD card (UHS-I) is to increase the data partition size. Check this mod for more details http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-sensation/development/mod-turbo-data-8gb-data-partition-t3036742 . I myself am waiting for a new card to prolong my phone's lifespan.

Storage Problem, 2GB internal, 14gb External

Hi guys, so i have a samsung vibrant with ICS rom. My phone has 16gb built in, but it says it has 2gb internal and 14gb external. From what i've read it puts away 14 for the phone and the 2gb is apparently all you need? I keep having the same problem after i get all my apps installed and what not, it says the phone storage is low and eventually it gets to the point where i can't receive texts because it's full so I have to reformat the whole phone for that to go away. Is there a way to make it so I have more storage? This keeps happening every few days and I always have to format for the phone to work..
2gb - this is the space for android to install apps... it doesn't have to be any bigger
14gb - space for the rest of your storage, i.e. photos, videos, music
Your apps and text messages are being stored in that 2 GB partition. How much is being taken up by the apps? Can you move some to SD card or delete some you don't need? Also check how much is being used by the data and cache in induvidual apps. Facebook can sometimes have tons of data, IMDB will cache all sorts of stuff - I deleted something like a 100 MB cache once. Pull up the apps in settings and sortby size. How many texts are you keeping? Can you delete some threads or older texts?

[Q] External 2 Internal App

I have a china Feitneg H7189 Smartphone with a pretty low memory and decided to give this app a try.
The following are some details of my phone:
Internal space: 0.98GB
Phone Storage: 1.70GB
Sd Card: 16GB
So i partitioned my Sd card creating two primary partitions and one of them ext2 so that i could use with External2Internal App. I downloaded the app and configured it correctly, selected the necessary options such as "At boot" and swapped the sdcard with the memory.
Everything ran smoothly and brilliantly until i got two problems!
1) Every photo i take gets duplicated on the SD Card and on the Phone/internal memory which is very annoying to have a duplicate photo of everything.
2) I recently needed to turn off my phone which i rarely do to change the battery as i have 2 battery's and forgot to charge one of them. When i installed the other fully charged battery and turned on my device all the apps i downloaded where missing? ! Its as if the External2Internal App did not work. so i tried to manually go and arrange the settings again and try to make the swap again, but that did not work. I am going to flash my phone again and re-root it again to have a clean phone.
So basically my question is. Is there a way that i can arrange the problem of external2internal that when i turn off the phone my apps disappear, or do you recommend me using any other application which could help me swap my sd with my phones memory?
Thanks !

Available Storage Before vs. After Reboot

I've noticed that my Pixel's available storage seems to shift drastically between what's available after a few day's use and what's available after I've rebooted, which I don't understand.
Having quite a number of large Daydream VR apps, my 32 GB of storage is getting full. After a few days of use, my Pixel will report "not enough storage" when performing routine Google Play app updates. I've cleared the cache via Settings > Storage > Cached data, but that may only free up a bit more than 1 GB most of the time (see image 1). However after I reboot my phone, I suddenly have 6 GB free (see image 2) that has disappeared from the Other category.
Why does this happen, and is rebooting the only way to get this space back?
Maybe a rogue app? Check your Settings -> Apps and see if you have one that is using several GBs of storage that it shouldn't be before you reboot next time. Really weird that you've got 6 GB of "other" before the reboot and < 1 GB afterwards. Not an issue I'm having so I don't have a clue.

Internal Storage showing more than 100% full.

I'm having a problem with my Z3, where it seems to be counting data and/or apps stored to the external SD card as part of the internal storage, which is leading the phone to show as being full when it isn't.
As you can see in the screenshots below (no you can't because all my xda posts are somehow gone and I'm back to being a noob who can't post links) , my 16gb phone believes that it contains more than 22gb of data, the main problem being more than 16gb of apps, which are in reality stored on the SD card.
When I eject the SD card, the apps disappear, and the internal storage drops to what looks like the correct level (with apps showing at 5.88gb).
Some of the apps, notably Amazon underground and Vainglory, seem to be much larger than they should be, e.g Vainglory at over 4gb, when it should be 1.25gb, and Amazon being more than 2gb when it should be around 124mb (as they are on my Nexus 9). So it looks to me that somehow the phone is counting the apps and data stored on the SD card more than once. I've tried tried uninstalling both of those apps, incase it is an Amazon underground issue (vainglory is installed from Amazon). That helps free up some space (apps still show over 10gb though), but the next biggest app is Google Play Music, which is also showing data that is stored on the SD card as being part of the internal storage. When I reinstall Vainglory from the Playstore (still storing the data on the SD card), it shows as being 3.47gb, smaller but still way too big. So the problem is clearly not related to Amazon.
I'm running a stock Sony rom, Android 6.0.1 build 23.5.A.1.291 on a D6603.
Can anyone help me with this before I go nuclear and factory reset it again?

Data added up incorrectly

As a normal user without any development expericence, I recently managed to install LineageOS to my Moto G 2015 (8GB) device. It's really cool and I would like to thank all developers!
One issue however occurred yesterday. I could not update some apps due to low internal storage. I found out that internal data is not added up correctly: There is more data displayed than is actually there. 1.2GB Apps + 2.75 GB System + 0.1 GB Cache (which seems all correct) sums up to 6,4 GB in total (which doesn't seem correct)
Migrating data (that isn't actually there) to SD fails. Sometimes settings crash, sometimes migration starts but fails due to low storage. When I open the "Couldn't move data" notification, I get to the "SD card is ready" screen even though my SD card is alread set as internal, has data stored and continues to work fine.
What am I doing wrong and what can I do better?
Thanks!
