Smart locks place detection works fine, but after a while It forgets that I've memorized trusted places and stops working.
The circle is still there, but I need to insert the password, go to Smart Lock's trusted place settings and the locations reappear, to make Smart Lock work again.
I think that the issue aren't soft locks (circle is still there) but the fact that the memorized locations disappear after a while and reappear only when I go and check them out.
Also, sometimes Google Play Services stops while I'm trying to do so
Has anybody got any ideas? Would reinstalling Google Play work?
I use low battery location mode and Greenify (I press the power button to lock the screen tho, and I've already tried disabling it, I don't think the issue's caused by that)

I tried looking around and could not find anything.
Is there a tool/app/tweak that prevents certain applications to show the lock screen after a certain amount of time?
I am trying to use Google maps and iGo8 and the device keeps going to the lock screen. I have enabled the option for keep backlight on in iGo but it still does this
bump...kind of impossible to use the sat navs with this happening lol
I turned my security feature off so i dont put a pin in anymore to unlock screen, and so far the screen no longer goes into standby while in igo8 or google maps. This may work for you?
I turned the pin off to test it but it still goes into standby with the lock screen showing up. Also the screen dimming is another thing.
Tomtom so far is the only GPS app that prevents the device from going into standby for me
Vanilla solution:
Go to power settings, uncheck "Turn device off if unused for X minutes".
Better solution:
Install AEBPlus. You can bind a key to turn that feature on/off simply.
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with LRX21O on my Nexus 5 32 GB. I installed it on day one and everything went fine. I was able to press the power button to get to the lockscreen then either swipe right to phone, left to camera, or up to unlock, or just leave it alone to re-lock after checking my notifications.
I then turned on a PIN lock under security and played with it a bit to see if it could use my FitBit One as a Smart Unlock device (no dice because it doesn't do a bluetooth pairing, it just syncs). So... I turned the PIN back off.
I now have no lockscreen. Pressing 'power' just sends me straight to whatever was happening when the screen turned off. I've tried turning various screen lock methods on and off and goofing with it that way, but I can't get a password-free lockscreen to show up again! ARGH!
EDIT: NEVER MIND I'M AN IDIOT
I had been chosing 'none' instead of 'swipe' because I went to a list called security->screen lock and was figuring it was a "security" setting (swiping does not equal security). I somehow did not see Swipe even though I looked at the screen with Swipe on it like 47 times.
As stated above I have the 64gb AT&T S6 and so far I found bugs
1st Home button when in the APP draw only goes back to the APP Draw after closing a APP
2nd Media Vol is always off even after I check all my apps to make sure I didn't mute something
3rd listen to Bluetooth volume is up and when the phone screen goes black the volume shut down to Zero when working out .
I have to manually turn it up with the screen off. but if I get a text message that wakes my screen it goes back to zero
4th cant access camera menu open up than closes
5th cant access Samsung gear app pass the main screen they also close after I try to open it
6th finger scanner is set to screen off and even when not in a trusted location it wont lock. just swipe and open phone
7th camera way to much on double press from the off position
going to do a factory reset and see but sux because I have to log in and DL my apps
anyone having these problem and is there a fix before I wipe and reload
Not sure about fixes but I have an att model and none of these issues.
As for the camera settings from what I've seen you'll need to factory reset. As for the lock screen not locking, is it connected to a Bluetooth device, it treats that as as trusted place and won't engage the finger print lock, this can be disabled in settings I believe.
The rest of it I'm not sure as like I said, I don't have these issues on my end.

I am trying to help my nephew with his dysfunctional Sony Xperia Z3. Strange things started to happen after he dropped it.
Some of the issues may not be related to the drop. My nephew are eleven years old and only play games, he have no idea if any of these things worked earlier. It is VERY important for him that I backup before a potential reset, as he have some game data and possible (?) local saves that he dont want to lose for anything in the world.
Side note: I am not using Sony myself, so I am unaware of any model specific quirks that I need to pay attention to.
I did spend some hours searching for a solution, but can't find anything useful.
The display is *NOT* broken, and the phone have no third party screen protection.
The phone have been restarted, turned off etc. I've tried to boot to safe mode.
According to the hidden Service menu, the rooting status is (empty), and the bootloader can be unlocked.
Android version is 6.0.1.
Model number D6603.
I've done the built-in Sony Xperia tests, and everything seems to work fine from there.
LIST OF PROBLEMS
Issues possibly connected to the drop:
The notification/top menu can only be pulled down half ways. Then it gets stuck and have to be pulled up again. It always state "No notifications". None of the icons can be pressed. No difference between portrait or landscape mode.
Only the back key in the bottom navigation bar (the soft navigation) works. The middle and the right button do not.
I don't believe that the touch-screen digitizer is broken, since I can push the buttons and I get both a vibration and visual feedback. The problem is that there is no action at all when I press the buttons.
I can't download anything from Google Play. I have a connection, I can surf, but Google Play is stuck on preparing the downloads with the eternal message "Download pending". I can download and install apps from for example ApkPure, so the abobe is probably an issue related to Google Play. I've tried/checked this so far:
As far as I can see, there is no download restriction.
I've cleared the cache and data of Google Play, Download Manager and Downloads.
Mobile connection or Wifi = same problem.
I did not log out from Google Play. I don't use Google Play myself, so I am not sure what will be erased if I remove the account. Will everything be restored when logging in, since I cannot backup (see next point)?
Similiar to the above problem, I cannot do a backup (it goes halfways, throws an error, and then exit). This is bad, since I can't do a factory reset if I can't do a backup first.
Other strange issues:
I can't enable the Developer Options. The usual trick with tapping the Build number menu is NOT working. This is the recommended way for this phone model, as far as I understand.
An article at Sony Developer site (I can't post a link as I am new here), about unlocking the bootloader, implies that an unlocked phone, already will have the Developer Options enabled;
"On your device, turn on USB debugging by going to Settings > Developer options and click to enable USB debugging."
This is however NOT the case.
The phone cannot boot into recovery mode (there is a Sony recovery, right? Else, ignore this...). I am holding the power button and the down volume button while booting up (as per recommendation from the Sony support page), but no go. I also tried with pressing the volume up and down while booting, as recommended on various web pages. Not working.
I would be VERY grateful for any ideas on how to solve this. If I can at least enable USB debugging I can probably work things out from there. Thank you in advance!
Assistant was coming on all the time. It was always "looking things up" even if, from the TV. It was driving me nuts, so I turned it off. Well now, the f#$% thing ask me to turn it on every time I unlock the phone. Please help. I want the guy that decided this to fall down a well; It's insane.
The phone became unusable. The pop-up asking me to turn on came up constantly, sometimes not even visible, but it has focus, and prevented me from using the phone. I was able to fix this by stopping and disabling the google app, but now I can't even use voice when using Android auto, which I was able to do with just the assistant off. Google may be making Android unusable without assistant.
You may press assistant button by accident
You can turn the button off in System >>> gesture
In addition, you can cut the button on the case to flat to avoid misoperation
I suggest disabling assisant entirely, along with Google app.
