[Q] How to flash ColorOS - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Bit of an unusual one this but how do I flash ColorOS onto my OnePlus One?
My phone originally was the Chinese model so I'd like to flash the version of ColorOS that ships with the Chinese model, if possible.
Thanks!

Unlocked Bootloader? Rooted? Recover? Running Rom?

Unlocked bootloader, not rooted, running CM OS 12.

OP 7 PRO from China - any problems in the future?

As it stands right now, I can buy 6/128 for less then $500. Looks pretty good to me. Not as kewl as 8/256, but still.
Is there any bad consequences (aside from absence of warranty obviously) of that move? I already read that I can flash GM1917 OOS over GM1910 H2OS. That's great. Anything else? Any issues with bands in North America for Chinese 7 PRO?
Does someone knows if bootloader on GM1910 variant is unlocked?
Thank you
No issue as far as i can se. Unlocked my bootloader too. GM1910 8/256.

So, has your bootloader been locked originally? From where you bought your phone?
Are the phones exactly the same inside? Would I have any issues flashing ROMs?

Originally it was locked with hydrogen os. Flashed oxygen os without any issues using the local upgrade method. It's exactly the same inside.

How you unlocked the bootloader? OEM unlock and then fast boot OOS?

Yeah , via fastboot.

Hydrogen to Oxygen, breathe (google) freedom but what about custom ROMS?

I received this morning my device, living in China i could get my hands only on the GM1910 version.
first thing i did was download the latest Global Oxygen OTA from the oneplus website and do a local update to switch to Oxygen firmware from Hydrogen: Success
unlock bootloader: success
install TWRP: success
install Magisk: success
when i went into the settings/about phone page i noticed that my phone model is still GM1910, this is my first time to use a OP device so i don"t know how to feel about it or what that really means, I would like to switch to a custom ROM and the minimum requirement usually is to have a matching stock firmware version, doesn't mention the region.
my only question is: can the phone model name cause any trouble or is it just a "label" and is not going to influence in any way?

I have the same variant as you, out here in Canada. I didn't find out it was the Chinese version after I had it for a few days. It hasn't had any impact on my experience whatsoever. I rooted, I flashed stuff. I even flashed Global firmware versions a few times. No issues. Hope this helps. ?

thank you for your insight,
i couldn't not notice because i had a bunch of useless (for me i guess...) chinese apps preloaded and no Gapps, maybe you received it with another version of the firmware,
but it kind of reinforce my opinion that the model name doesn't matter in this case, being the "unlocked" part the most important.
I am also running the global version of the firmware now, seems without any problems, but i will need some time to confirm that and try to flash a custom ROM or kernel in few days

2-And if I want to flash the indian/global version of the rom, will it be a problem?
3-Can I flash all custom MIUI and non-Miui roms? i mean every ROM for N7PRO? Or is there a specific problem or thing that I neee to know about?
Thanks a lot in advance..

I have no idea ?
It came with a chinese RN7Pro Box, I did buy it used though, but the person I bought it from doesn't really know about BL unlocking and switching ROMs, and the phone was locked
Which makes me wonder, is it ok if I flash the Chinese variant on an Indian unit (or vice versa) with the option flash all and lock in the mi flash app?

I don't think you could change variant and lock the bootloader but you can flash global on chinese or chinese on global and use it as a daily driver, keep in mind though you cant lock bootloader and you have to use a custom recovery. Btw the guy whom you bought was indian or chinese ??

You can flash China ROM on an Indian variant, or Global (Indian) ROM on a Chinese variant only if bootloader is unlocked. Make sure you check the option "Clean all" in Mi Flash Tool.
Never use the option that says "Clean all and lock" because you may brick your device.

I think once you have unlocked the bootloader, you may be able to lock it using either ROM versions. But I would advise against this because, at least in theory, this shouldn't be the case. When it comes to locking bootloaders, you always need to flash the original firmware of that device variant. I suspect they may have used some other tool to manage this, but I can't really say for sure how they did it. I could try to do the same via Mi Flash Tool just for the sake of experimenting, but it's the only device I have, and I can't risk bricking it.

I don't believe the global rom is out yet we've been the EU version
Received my 8T from ali with Global 11.0.3.4KB05AA and so fast to fast downloaded Oxygen Updater and downloaded 11.0.4.5KB05BA without doing backup or download 11.0.3.4.KB05AA with OUpdater
I need 11.0.4.5KB05AA but could be any other version but AA - Global/International
What is Your version ?
There is no 11.0.4.5 KB05AA full rom in Oxygen Updater yet... only incremental package 107mb....
I am using the 11.0.4.5.KB05BA on my KB2000 and so far everything works fine. Awaiting for International Rom.
I am using 11.04.5.KB05AA on my KB2000, but I after first boot I upgraded my phone from system menu, not from Oxygen Updater...
Is AA version internacional version? What is diference betwen those version, AA, BA etc and KB2000 vs KB2001 etc?

His is probably a hacked aliexpress phone. I seen a few ppl posting that they have issues updating it and factory restore reinstall hydrogen instead of oxygen
My phone was bought in Hungary, so I relly do not know which rom was on phone before I got the phone, does someone installed AA rom or something else.... When I got phone, AA rom was on phone, and I updated to 0.4.5 with stock updater...
Now I'm waiting for new rom and I will see is there any problem....

Yea, that's one of those hacked aliexpress type phones. Your phone is a china model and originally came with hydrogenos, before the seller hack the global AA rom onto it.

For now, there is no problem with phone, everything works as expected , so yes, you can use global rom on KB2000...
OxygenUpdater see my phone like "oneplus 8t", no EU, NA or any other variant, and everything is OK...

That's good that it's working. it's hacked because the full global rom that you can install does not exist.
They installed older rom, which maybe exists, than I updated to 0.4.5.... I know there is no full AA rom to download yet...

AliExpress sellers always get the global rom zips, even before its released to public. I have seen with Xiaomi phones and OnePlus phones. No idea how they do it.

Question Xiaoxin Pad Plus (TB-J607F) no downgrade possible

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Xiaoxin Pad Plus (TB-J607F).
When I bought it in a China store, it had a pseudo Global Rom on it. I then flashed the China Rom and everything worked fine. Also got some OTA update.
Then I got the stupid idea to try another Rom (P11 5G via LMSA) and now I can't get back to the China Rom. I guess something is preventing a downgrade because I did the OTA update.
As I remember it was the ZUI 13.1.???.
But I only have this ROM :TB-J607F_CN_WIFI_USER_Q00010.0_R_ZUI_12.6.142_ST_210801_qpst-001.7z
I would very much like to go back to the China ROM and maybe there is a way.
Thanks for your help.
You must unlock bootloader to flash back to China ROM as Global ROM is much more newer than China ROM. If you want to relock, you need to wait Lenovo release ZUI14 on September.
thanks for your reply.
yes indeed, the bootloader is locked.
I need an unlock file which I can only get from Lenovo. ( please correct me if i am wrong)
I requested this from Lenovo a few days ago but so far no response.
https://www.zui.com/iunlock
I may have to be patient.

In fact if you are in Global ROM now, you don't need to request for unlock file. Just enable oem unlock in Developer Settings, reboot to bootloader and run
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
Only Chinese Firmware need unlock file.
Thanks for the explanation
I still have a few questions.
1. can I lock the bootloader again after the China Rom flashed and downloaded the OTA update?
2. with which command I lock the bootloader again?
Thanks in advance

The ZUI-ROM has besides chinese also english.
The important thing is that the ROM is newer than what you have at the moment. The latest is ZUI 14, only then you can flash the ROM when the bootloader is locked. Otherwise you have to unlock the bootloader.
