[Completed] [Q] nexus 5 SoftBricked? - XDA Assist

Hi! Was playing around with my phone this morning and decided i would try and get Cyanogen mod on my phone.. It was previously untouched for the past like 6 months but for some reason decided to go for it.. One of my friends who is fairly confident but lives half the province away decided to help me.. I dont know anything about modding first off.. First I started by trying to use the one touch cyanogen mod thing.. Unsuccessful.. He told me to download the Nexus root toolkit so I did.. After awhile and some errors I got a driver and managed to unlock and root my phone.. My friend then had to go to school but said the rest would be easy.. so without his help I continued.. I looked up a video on how to get Cyanogen mod and I got the TWRP on my phone and had Gapps on the phone aswell.. dont know what I did exactly but all I know is my phone is now not working how I want it to..
Problems:
It connects to the laptop but the laptop doesnt show the file folders. (previously had "Stick mount" on my device)
also while the phone is on it keeps popping up tabs saying "unfortunatly "App name" has stopped. The two apps that keep coming up are GooglePlay Services, eu.chainfire.supersu and com.google.process.gapps.
I cant do anything and am super frustrated.
What should I do?

Hi, thank you for using XDA assist. Before you do anything with your phone you should really spend some time learning about it. That way if you mess up you'll know how to fix it. Start here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...urce-guides-info-threads-linked-read-t2784527 Your best bet right now is probably to flash the stock firmware and start the process all over again. [Q] Important Help please. Nexus One Rebooting

Hi, I'm quite upset and I don't really know what to do. You see, I bought I Nexus One and since I'm a computer tech (Network is my strong point and I also got a Professional diploma of informatics support)I thought I could go and mod my thing out. Thing is everything worked fine until I downloaded Cyanogen with Rom Manager Premium (Crack3d)and tried to install it. At first it simply shut down the screen, rebooted a few times and restarted normally, then I retried downloading and it brought me to the reboot in recovery mode to install cyanogen popup. Clicked ok and then it rebooted another 3-4 times and when it came back, it was cyanogen splash screen bugging and rebooting in the middle of the loading. I have Android SDK if that changes anything, I just really don't even know how to bring any sort of menu from my pc or my phone.
P.S. I didn't cleared cache and didnt do any backup[thats no that important].
Thanks
-Ed
First, please don't double post. You don't need to start two threads for the same problem.
Second, I'd start by searching the nexus one forum, reading through the wiki, then, if you still have questions or need assistance, posting in the nexus one q&a forum.

... No help was given, neither did I found anything about my specific problem. Now I might seem rude but can someones stop making the cop and actually help me?

What's this 'cracked' thing you mention? I truly hope you're not saying it was a warez copy that you downloaded to avoid paying for it? The App developer posts his work on this forum and would just love to meet you!
You started flashing custom ROMs without doing a backup? Bit unusual for a 'computer tech' with a 'professional diploma' to be so reckless.
Threads closed will deal with it personally

[Q] .tar file in rar (clearly wrong thing) Cant do STOCK ROM. SG 3 (i5800)

Hello! I really need help with getting stock rom back on. I've sit hours and hours looking for some information that would help me, but i couldn't find what i exactly needed.
Yesterday I installed Kyrillos rom v9.7 (with Odin) to my Samsung Galaxy 3 (Really old stone, not S3). At first downloading stopped for unknown reasons, but finally i managed to get this in my phone. It has been working, but there are things that bother me.
At first, when i turned off and back on the phone all the apps i downloaded from Google Play were gone, and ALSO the Google Play itself was gone. I thought this was normal, because i've never put custom rom to my phone before. It's also a bit lagging and some apps freeze and need to force close at times. UI isn't really my cup of tea either, but this isn't a problem much. So, these are the reasons i want to get rid of it. I have to say, that I can't handle it.
I've read how to put stock rom back on in Odin with files that go to PDA, PHONE and etc. but I've already downloaded 2 files (because one of them had 1 file inside, so i thought second one should have all this flashing needed...) The both didn't have these necessary files.
Downloaded from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1497261/
and I don't know what to do next. Odin says, it's wrong and i see it's wrong but i'm afraid of hardbricking my phone. I mean, i've already softbricked it, but managed to fix it myself and little help from xda forum.
Now this is it.. I don't know what to do or where to get Stock rom files, that wouldn't hardbrick my sammy, if something would go wrong somehow someway .
So if somebody understood ANYTHING i told here... It would be really nice of you to help me... Please!

[Completed] stupid andriod reset.. im lost

soo i dont even know what todo or even where to ask... everything i search on multiple websites is irrelevant.. im probably looking in the wrong places.. any help or a finger in the right direction would be amazing..
i have a boost branded htc one sv that ive had rooted for over a year. havent done much with my root capabilities other then enable my wifi tether and install useful apps that require root.. havent really messed with to many roms or anything too crazy.
well i soon relized that after i rooted it when i lost battery power the phone would boot into my teamwin recovery mod and freeze... it would still charge however just wouldnt respond. after a bit i would just pull that battery to get out of the frozen screen, boot into the bootloader and select recovery. then the TWRP would actually respond when it booted! just selected reboot system and off i went until the next time i completely wore out the battery. this was annoying but didnt bother me too much because everything still worked fine..
now about month or two ago while trying out some new apps my phone randomly shut off.. then after that everytime it started back up it has about enough time to load everything up and shuts off again.. and again and again stuck in a reboot loop.. ive tried deleteing temp files and checking what logs i can find but nothing helped.. the only way i can get out of this loop is to do a factory restore/wipe using the recovery mod. then the phone works normally again and i still have root.
but now wether or not i install anything after the reset, if i have a power loss i go through the same thing as normal starting it up as i always have done and it goes right back into the reboot loop.. here i go with yet another reset.... ive pushed this issue to the back of my todo list many times due to a very busy schedule recently but its very aggravating and i dont know how to go about fixing..
Hi!
I can't seem to find a specific guide to return to stock for your device, which is what you likely need to do.....but I found a great index thread with all kinds of info and file links....
>*Legacy & Low Activity Devices*>*HTC One SV*>*One SV General*>*[INDEX] Search and find all what belongs to HTC One SV
If you need more help, here is the Q&A section for your device...you can ask for help here...
>*Legacy & Low Activity Devices*>*HTC One SV*>*One SV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!
Thanks i couldnt find the forum for my phone... such a huge and awesome place to find info just hard to locate sometimes.. i already had that index thread bookmarked from before but i suppose ill give it another look.
if a admin or mod wants to move this thread to that q&a forum go for it.. not trying to double post but im still looking for a answer..
i would atleast like to know what i did or what went wrong for me to have these issues in the first place.

[Completed] [Q] TWRP Bootloop

Hi XDA. I'm having a really stressful problem right now. Yesterday I rooted my Nexus 6 to Cyanogenmod 12, adding up to installing TWRP. I had fun rooting it all the way and messing around with full control of my device. Until I noticed that, T-Mobile has found out that my Nexus was rooted! As I was having issues with the IMEI of my phone, I couldn't receive and make phone calls. So I went to The Unlockr website and they taught me how to unroot my Nexus 6 and how to flash it back to stock mode. And so I did. I flashed it back to Stock... I thought this was the day the phone would shine bright and reset as stock... But no... TWRP recovery (Teamwin) keeps bootlooping endlessly, leaving me paranoid, into thinking "WTF SHOULD I DO NOW" I want to know what is wrong and what should I do to solve this enormous annoying issue... Please answer back, I'll be in deep trouble if my family knows that my phone is going haywire, and I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money to replace my phone for another one... I need help guys.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I think the best place for your question would be the Nexus 6 help thread here:

have elephone p2000 with some custom rom on it and working stock recovery. than i flash new rom called resrom 1.5, rooted BUT internal storage is access denied and 0kb. Just to say that my usb port is broken and will be hard to replace it because someone was trying to make it work and totaly screwed up.
So anyway I cannot connect to a pc and fix things. Next, cant access recovery, tried to flash new one but to no avail. I am still rooted but even when using some apk to flash new rom or recovery i get msgs like "not enough space" or nothing is happening.
info on the phone:
ELEPHONE P2000 MT 5692

MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V35.P8.2014/11/03
KERNEL 3.4.67 [email protected] #1
BUILD P2000_20150228_RESTORN
Play store ok, calls and the rest is fine, apk i am using: mobileuncle, rashr, auto flasher but nothing gets job done, flashyfy doesn't work and many others. I was looking into init files saw some guide but don t want to mess things even more so i gave up, also wanting to flash boot.img but no proper or functional apk for it.
somethimes on phone start stuck in a loop of screen turn on for 20 sec and then off and its like that until i remove battery, all before rom logo, same thing if i try use buttons combination for recovery or whatever i press in any combination nothing changes.
This is not my first smartphone but is of this kind and funny companies, had problems before with Sony, Samsung but in this extent never, always find YOU guys everybody clever in some fields and as a community more than THE BEST, as you can see i dont post or seek answers by asking, i rather research until now. I fell hopeless, useless and never more stupid, or i m just tired of looking for the answer. In some other case i would give it to my child to play the games an to hell with this phone but its my wife's and she dont want to by a new phone for some reason. Help me to be the man of the house again, kidding, loosing it....
I think I gave you overall picture of the phone state and someone might show me the way to have fully working phone. I forgot, if you are wondering how do i charge battery, well I take it out twice a day and charging on the base of other broken phone, that part i did cover, help me with the rest.
p.s my SD card is working most of the time so this is my only connection to a pc....
