Try a full factory reset after backing up your data.

I updated to lollipop recently and some of the google apps stopped working - they couldn't connect to Google.
So after a while I don't know where I read this, I tried clearing the data on my play services app and the framework. After that I removed my account and added it again. Only this time, ALL of my google apps stopped connecting (play store, hangouts, google now, contacts etc.)
I'm signed into my account but nothing seems to be working. The rest of my apps are completely normal.
If anyone can help me about this I'd highly appreciate it. Thank you
Edit: I used the OTA update. I tried using a different version of the play services app but that also didn't help.

Wasn't able to add picture during edit.
This is the gmail image.
I'm getting a sync error as well

May try reflashing factory image and start from beginning.
Else try flashing system.IMG to see if it fixes the problem.
Make necessary backup before u try any options
Won't flashing erase all the data? Is there a way to avoid that?

Yes, don`t erase and flash userdata.img. Flashing system.img will not wipe the device.
Okay this is weird... Everything started syncing again when I started using the WiFi. But as soon as I get back to mobile data, I get the sync error again

Did you pay your data plan this month? While just connected to mobile data, can you open google dot com on a browser?
a maguro wrote this.
Yes its paid for. Its a prepaid connection. Plus all sites and apps other than the google ones are connecting using mobile data

Easiest way would probably be to factory reset.
I can't be sure , but I do remember seeing a "only sync on wifi " setting somewhere . If any of the more knowledgeable guys could tell you where it is you might fix it without a reflash. Also , if your settings are backed up with google you might not solve anything ...
I've no camera and galleries. Done factory reset and used full google factory firmware
I never used to have this problem on KitKat don't know how that setting emerged in lollipop. I'm still hoping I can find a solution without a reflash.

Hi everyone!
I used my unlocked LG G2 with a T-Mobile SIM card for a few days with the stock rom and the radio signal was fine. But then as it looked terrible and the performance was not so good, I decided to install the Cyanogenmod 12 nightly. After a couple hours, I realized the gps and gyroscope sensors wouldn't work, something widely known about this cell phone. I found out that flashing a different baseband would fix it, and after I did that the sensors started working again, but the signal was always intermittent and my 3g would suck.
Then I tried to flash the original baseband again because I'd rather not to rotate it than have a bad connection, however, it didn't work: the sensors don't work and the signal is still terrible.
I ran an app called Network Signal on my friend's cell phone, which is the same as mine with the stock rom. There's a tab called SERVICE'S ADVANCED that says OK on his and NO SERVICE on mine.
Does anyone have any solution or advice? Attached is my information on baseband and rom.
Thank you!!!

The problem is that you didn't know that Lollipop ROMs need the modem from JB 10C or 10O. Your modem is the KK version from 20C.
As for the signal I'm not sure what to suggest because the performance is bad in that regard. Sometimes it will drop to 2G in areas with strong LTE or Hspa+. I'm also T-mobile.

I tried installing those but they didn't work either. Would you have the links? Maybe I downloaded the wrong ones.
Also, are you using lollipop on your g2 right now?

This is the list I found: downloads. codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/G2_modems (delete the space between downloads. and codefi)
I tried the 10D and 10O, but there's no 10C for the D800.

Sorry, forgot my charger at home & couldn't respond back. Anyway, it's 10D and not 10C, I keep getting all the modems mixed up. I actually reverted back to JB because I'm giving the phone to someone that doesn't like LP. Before I had vanir (LP) with the JB modem 10O.

If the JB & KK modems don't fix your issue, then something is wrong with your G2, or those features are currently broken in that CM12 nightly. One thing you could try is returning to stock, then root after going back to the official ATT firmware. Trying another ROM besides cm would be s good idea too.
Would you mind running this app called Network Signal and sending me a screenshot? I want to compare yours to mine. You just have to swipe left to open the menu and then click Signal Check:

Would you mind using the one from the link? No problem if you can't, but there's a specific option that I wanted to compare.

See, that's my problem. The textbox "Service Advanced" says FAIL and I think that's due to wrong modem. I'll try to go back to stock and try something else. You're using the baseband that ends with 84, right?
