I recommend nova launcher, you can customise just about anything. If you have a folder with app shortcuts in it, it will display a notification as in the screenshot below I have a new Gmail message. I'm using nova prime (paid version), it has the notification customizations and is well worth it. You may be able to do it with other custom launchers but I haven't tried.

Not sure what the notifications on top of a file are, can you elaborate?

[Q] Is there any app like that? (slide to view notification)

So I was wondering if there is some sorth of an app that allows you to slide to view notification like one on iPhone.(I hate iOS but it is only thing i can see it's good)
You can go directly trough your notifications.
I'm just curious and would be thankfull for help if you would like to share it with me.
Thanks.
P.S. Phone: Google (Samsung) Nexus S
Android: 4.0.4 version
sliding down the notification bar isnt good enough for you???
I don't own an iPhone so I'm not sure how to picture it.
Is it like the webOS way of viewing notifications?
Android has had slide to view notifications since day 1

Oh sry I ment in lock screen... you know you just slide notification to get directly into app/notification
Go Locker Dark Theme perhaps?

AOSP Theme

Hello, i'm not sure if this goes in themes and apps as it not really that as it's more of a request than that, and putting it in troubleshooting is exaggerating it a bit as there is no problem, so i just popped it in general. (basically: move it all you want)
One request Anyone seen or made a theme for AOSP Navbar? basic navbar nothing else no wallpaper no random status bar colour, just plain theme with AOSP navbar. I've looked all over the place (mainly on the plays store) but nothing.
MASSIVE NOTE:
I know you can use Xposed to install all sorts of navbars but i just want to stay unrooted for the moment as i did a quite big(massive...) doodoo a few days ago and want to cool down a bit before i dive back into the world of rooting.
Thanks in advance
here's an example of of what i want thanks

I just change wallpaper and navbar icon
hope you like it

L12, B317 - Strange notifications from EMUI (?)

Hi all,
I have to L12, both with B317.
On both of them, in the last weeks, I have started receiving strange notifications apparently from EMUI. Apparently, they want to open some webpage, but I never allowed it to do it. On both phones nothing new has been installed recently and I haven't noticed any strange "activity".
Does anybody know anything about it? Do you know any way to stop them? They are quite annoying... I attach a few screenshots.
Thanks!

Long tap and it should take you to the app making the notification then uninstall or disable

Oh really? Wonderful, I wasn't aware of this function! I will try with the next notification I get and I will let you know. Thanks! :good:
Ok, it looks like the notifications are coming from the Live wallpapers, which seems to be part of the EMUI and it seems it cannot be unistalled.
I don't have this specific application listed in the Notification options, so I cannot block it. Any idea?
Are you rooted? , if so use Ti backup to uninstall/freeze. If not, I think when you click the termina button then disactivate should then be clickable (idk havent tried)

Custom icon in AOD display

Hi all, i'm a noob
I was thinking in a way to add the messenger icon (you know, the little bubble (facebook thing)) and with the number of "message" (like the message and missed calls), there is a way to add this icon without rooting my device? I want to know how to add this icon by myself, and if I need to root my device for that, I will do it.
Sorry for my poor english.
Nova launcher has an unread count badge that you can add to mail/text and other apps, but i believe its in the paid version only.

Think he's talking about a custom Facebook icon for always on display rather than a launcher icon.

Are there any decent (preferably free) notification shade alternatives for our device?

Main reason for asking is how slow it is tapping a notification and it opening. Tried PowerShade from the Play Store and tapping notifications is as instant as it was pre A11. However, it's not a perfect solution and it's a subscription purchase of £10 a year... Which is mental but that's for another post.
Any root alternatives or tweaks that can be used to not only make opening notifications faster but hopefully change the appearance too?
Also is there anything that can be done about the "notifications" header? Never did like that either.

I mean thanks for explaining that the notifications in the notification shade are notifications, but I think I can work out they're notifications on my own.
Cheers.
I am not completly sure what you want to accomplish.
But perhaps you can look into Substratum and some good theme for that.

Very basically, all that I'm after is an alternative to the stock oneplus notification shade. I don't like anything about it aesthetically and it's slow to react to taps since OOS 11 dropped.
Substratum is a no-go as I don't trust it to not cause bootloops and the themes available are either straight garbage, massively overpriced or don't work with android 11.
