Hello all, I am relatively new to the android scene, and have just tried flashing my first rom, but something has gone horribly wrong.
Here is my exact scenario. Previously, I had stock rom with root. I created a nandroid, downloaded the latest cm nightly, and started my job. Used 'adb push cm-12.1-peregrine.zip /sdcard/', which succeeded, then booted into CWM 6.0.5.0. Wiped data, wiped cache, cleared davlik cache, install from zip, and it succeeded. Here's where the issue is. I rebooted device, and it sat for a good 30 mins just loading. Eventually gave up, tried wiping those things again and then reflashing. Still no cigar. After what little google-fu I have, I tried wiping those things AFTER flashing, and still nothing. Please advise.
Thanks, Mathracer1
I'm having exactly the same problem on my Gen 1 Moto G falcon (3G). I've tried wiping and reloading over and over.
I've tried just the falcon 12.1 snapshot
I've tried the falcon 12.1 snapshot with my selection of google apps (aroma) compiled for Android 5.1 ARM
I've tried the falcon 12.1 snapshot with google apps pico compiled for Android 5.1 ARM
I've tried falcon 12.1 snapshot after just the factory reset
I've tried falcon 12.1 snapshot after the factory reset, followed by wiping the Dalvik Cache, Data, Cache, and System partitions
I've tried re-downloading the falcon 12.1 snapshot
I've tried with and without wiping the Dalvik cache and the cache after the install, before the reboot.
I've tried reflashing the TWRP 2.8.6 recovery
I've tried waving a rubber chicken over the Moto G and chanting
I've tried waving a real, live chicken over the Moto G and chanting
I've tried a few combinations of the above
I got a little scared when TWRP would not boot, even after reflashing it, but that is another story...
Has anyone got CM 12.1 peregrine or falcon to work on the Gen 1 (2013) Moto G?

As of now, I am trying to install the Wingray Nightlies #96 & GApps 4/22/2012.
I am trying to update my wifi xoom from nightly #90, and get stuck.
I began my endeavor with EOS 1.0.0. I installed nightly #90, ran for a while and then tried to update to #92. (Factory reset, cleared cache, cleared dalvik, installed #92, installed #GApps, reboot) and then get stuck at Motorola screen.
Rinse, repeat, and stuck at Motorola again.
So I do a restore and am back at #90.... I tried again every few days, downloading new copies of the .zips (Nightly & GApps) thinking something was corrupted, but no dice...
Today I tried to update to #96 and GApps 4/22/2012, but am getting the same result.
ALSO: I have tried the EOS Recovery, to see if the recovery was the issue... No luck.
After you clear cache and dalvik, format data and system.
Once you do that, flash the ROM, GAPPS, then fix permissions before you reboot.
Doing that will wipe everything but it should boot up to EOS from there.
First boot should take a while.
Enjoy

Tried with no luck. Once again, fresh downloads, and followed step by step ^, then sat at Motorola for about 8 minutes...
Is there a set of .img files that I can push by fastboot?
TeamEOS posted some files that should help. Give it a try. The link is on the wingray thread in development.
I have updated my Moto G a day before, Lollipop was Officailly released. First I have updated Lollipop from Link 1, as this updates has some bugs, so I restored data. And after some time, someone posted the official OTA, so I tried to updated it from Link2. Then after some operation, it showed, Installation aborted. Then I wipe cache partition, after starting Moto G, it is stuck at Motorola Logo, tried everything like restoring data, wiping cache etc.
Now, regretting why I have updated manually and also tried to update it again from the Link2. :crying:
Please suggest solution for this Problem.

HI,
I am trying to install CM13 on my Moto G XT 1033.
When I do advanced wipe from TWRP 2.8.7.0 ( Data, system, dalvik cache and cache), the phone just reboots as soon as the wipe is finished and after the reboot, the phone is just normal - as in I can see nothing is changed in my previous ROM with all the previosuly installed apps working as it is.
Is this normal behavior ? In various youtube videos, I see after doing advanced wipe - you are taken to the TWRP home page , the phone doesnt reboot.
Please Advice.
On the phone was CM12 I think. I tried to install Lineage OS but it failed because the bootloader was to old. So I installed the latest stock Rom (5.1) and installed a newer bootloader manually. Now I can install lineage but first boot comes only til the blue curved line with the bubble.
Phone:
Motorala Moto G (1st Gen.) XT1032
Lineage OS:
lineage-14.1-20180206-nightly-falcon-signed.zip
TWRP:
twrp-3.2.1-0-falcon.img
version-bootloader:

It should boot up.. wait for 5 minutes.... if you still face that problem.
goto twrp recovery wipe >>cache dalvik cache, data system
then once again reboot to twrp recovery and install lineageos followed by gapps.
