[Completed] [Q] Why do phones get stuck on the Firmware Update screen after rooting? - XDA Assist

I rooted my first phone today. I was freaking out for a while because my LG Volt would not respond to button presses, and stayed on the Firmware Update screen even when the battery was removed. Then I waited a few hours, pressed the power off button, and it suddenly booted fine! I'm pretty relieved. But why did my phone get stuck on the Firmware Update screen with the only sign of life being the port (it was recognized by my laptop)? I used the DP Tools root method because of its simplicity.

Hi there,
There is a good discussion about this phone's Root in New LG Volt LS-740

[Q] Stuck! Phone does't turn on and does not charge

Hello guys I have been struggling for the past week, my LG G2 phone has been rooted, I flash a custom recovery TWRP then I lunched to my stock rom I then tried to update my firmware to 4.4.2 kitkat the update was downloaded successfully, then it told me to reboot, so I did phone switched off then I was stuck on a boot loop but this time it was a boot loop with a error message on the left top corner. and then it would take be to a dim back screen. I searched the entire week to find a method to get me through the start screen and I found this -> NO Recovery mode, No download mode, after OTA on rooted LG G2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 I done exactly what it was showing, then my phone switched off and now it won't power up. Then I tried turning it on NOTHING phone does't show the LED charging lights, does't respond to the usb being plugged in can't do ANYTHING I am guessing the battery has died so now I don't know what to do, either contact LG or should I try getting a battery that is fully charged or even use a factory cable any ideas guys ?

[Q] Bootloader Issue: screen never turns off while powered off+charging

Recently I dived into flashing custom recoveries and discovered TWRP, which I have no problems with (as in it does everything I want).
However, after unlocking the bootloader and flashing the recovery I found a bug/glitch/issue, I'm not sure. Whenever I power off my device, an LG Optimus G (sprint), it does so just fine. When I plug in my charging cable it turns on, showing the Google logo with an unlocked padlock at the bottom, then shows a screen with a charging battery indicator/animation. About 10-20 seconds after this the screen shows nothing but is still on, as if it were just a black image. I cannot power the device off completely, and when I try to it just repeats this. My phone will warm up after a while, so the only way to charge it safely is to keep it on all the time.
How can I fix this issue w/o relocking the bootloader?
I have an LG optimus G ls970, Rooted, Stock ROM, Unlocked bootloader w/ TWRP recovery.
Any help or answer to this will make me super happy, thanks in advance.

[Completed] [Q] Bricked LG G3 - PLEASE HELP WILLING TO TRY AND DO ANYTHING FOR THOSE WHO HELP!!!

I have an LG G3 D851 currently on http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/couldyrom-qa-rom-feature-request-thread-t2920503 I have the not-so-common 10R model and was looking for a 10C bootstack to flash the SkyDragon G3 Kernel v1.6.1 but instead I was so stupid and unaware that I flashed the 10C Bootstack for the LG OPTIMUS L90. During this time my phone was 100% charged and I cleared dalvik and cache, then hit reboot system. The screen went blank. No LED lights seem to appear when I charge it via PC or with a wall adapter and the screen is cold. I tried taking the battery out and putting it back in and holding the power+volume down keys to get into TWRP recovery but to no avail.. I also tried taking the battery out and holding the power key for 15 seconds, plugging the device to my windows 8.1 laptop and inserting the battery back in but that didn't work either. Other methods I tried were trying to get it into download mode by holding volume up but once again, that didn't work. When I plug my phone in my laptop makes a sound, but does not actually detect it. I went to settings>devices and I found "qhsusb_bulk driver not available" so I assume it must be bricked to some extent? By the way it wont charge or boot but I remember days before that it worked just fine, no issues and was in great condition not to mention that my phone is approximately 5 months old. I BEG OF YOU, ANY ONE OF YOU IF THERE IS ANYTHING, ANYTHING I CAN DO AT ALL?! I AM VERY DESPERATE FOR ANYTHING. I WILL BE SO SO VERY GRATEFUL FOR ANY HELP THAT I RECEIVE I WILL OFFER ANY DONATION TO GET MY PHONE BACK TO WORKING AS I AM VERY RELIABLE ON MY PHONE FOR COMMUNICATION and plus it's my daily driver. Is there any software or methods I can apply to unbrick my phone?! No matter what i do (all key combinations for recovery mode, download mode), plugging, unplugging the phone, taking the battery out for 30 mins or so, and putting it back - NOTHING is working. It all goes back to the screen mentioned above.
Any ideas or help is beyond gratefully appreciated.

Kyocera Hydro Vibe Boot Loop after Sprint Update - Never been rooted

Our Hydro Vibe was working perfectly fine until Sprint sent an update to it.
Now it's stuck in a boot loop and will not start and will not go into recovery. Tried the Volume Up/Down & Power to no avail.
Our local Sprint store says "Uh, I'd try a new battery. I think the battery can't provide power anymore and the phone is trying to start and then the battery dies......"
No problems like this before the firmware update.
Is my device a nice paperweight now? I don't suppose there is any way to flash it in this state.
Thanks in advance. Sorry if this has been asked and answered already.

[Completed] Verizon LGG3 VS985 not booting

Hello
I am new to working on these phones so I apologize in advance if I don't properly state any processes or terms correctly.
I have a stock non modded Verizon LGG3 VS985 that experienced problems with WiFi and Bluetooth not working and significant battery drain. This happened right after a recent update to marshmallow. I tried cache clearing, safe mode, hard reset and nothing solved the problem. I decided I wanted to take the phone back to factory condition. I started with the LG flash tool that uses the .tot and a .dll. I ran the flash and when the program got to approx. 80%(at checking mini os phase of the flash) the phone began to reboot and only got as far as the LG logo and after about 2 min of the phone trying to reboot the flash program said fail, usb connect or something like that. At this point the phone will only start and go into a loop that includes the vibrate and the LG logo. and that will cycle until I believe the battery would die if allowed. I then found a link here at XDA (https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/general/guide-flash-to-stock-10b-kdz-method-t2928140) that uses the KDZ method, was well written and easy to follow. I ran it on the phone and it was going great. The flash program got to 88% and the phone went into the boot loop with the vib and LG logo . The flash program continued to run until it was complete while the phone was in the boot loop and it got to 100% and said that the software installed. I powered down the phone via battery removal and now when it tries to boot it vibes, shows the lg log and then the green android symbol shows for about 2 seconds and then it does it all over again. I have tried a hard reset and nothing changes. I appreciate any ideas any of you may have on what I can try to get this resolved. Thank you.
