Kernel Source Code - Onetouch Idol 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anybody know if the kernel source code can be downloaded from anywhere yet?

Alcatel hasn't posted the source code on Sourceforge yet.

are you planing to develop something??

There's another discussion about this somewhere in the Idol 3 forums. It's suspected it will be at least a couple of months after release. That what i read last a few days ago.

Not much, unless you are wanting to compile Gingerbread from source. If it contains UCLA3 updated source, it might help some of the developers of the latest ROMs to tweak their builds.
Stupid question: Do these have the actual source code in them? What I mean is that can I download this and look at the code and learn about how an Android OS works?

If you are interested in generic android source, you'd be better off going to source.android.com. The samsung source is not full android source, only source that is specific to the device.

Jellybean kernel source code is out

Happened to check the htcdev website tonight and saw that they've released a bunch of kernel source codes for the One XL. Get them here
Hmm you're like a week late...kernel source was released a while ago...many threads about it..and yours will be closed
Did someone say closed?
Appreciate the info but as stated this has been posted several times already and the devs are already working with it.
Thanks

Cyanogen 9 source to P6200L

Hi,
Nowadays I'm going to do some work in firmwares and I've looked for the full P6200L source tree in a lot of places, but I had no success.
In this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576553&page=1) I saw a huge and great discussion regarding port cyanogen 6 to the devices P6200 like. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to post comments directly there.
Can some one point to me where can I find the latest source code that @aorth is using to generate those builds?

[Q] A little help

Hey guys, may I know "In order to make a build for your device, you will need a suitably device configuration. Often these are included within the main source download, or are obtained through a method documented by the developers of the ROM." <<<<<where can I get this?
Should be the source code, i guess.

Kernel source code?
I think so.
Where can I find proprietary binaries?
Kernel Source code can be found at www.htcdev.com
After it is released.

And the binaries are located in the source code?I'm asking all this questions because I'm in the midst of developing. And to further understand so that it would be easier for me.
I'm no kernel dev, so i can't answer more than this.
It's ok.
