Somehow when setting up my new phone today, I've ended up with one screen available instead of several. Sc rolling left or right from this one screen does nothing. How do I unlock and get my other screens back?
Nevermind, I just installed Nova Prime and have all screens I want.

Hello all and thanks for looking here into my problem.
My phone runs on the clean and efficient CleanROM 7 with the stock kernel that came with. I've noticed a bit lately that when I pull up my phone and unlocked the lockscreen, the phone black screens and just freezes at that point. Can't do anything with the power button, so I have to hard reset with the battery coming out and back in.
The one thing I've noticed at the lockscreen is the status bar at the top isn't visible. At that point, I just tried to flicker my screen off and on to see if it appears, but it even freezes when I flicker it off. Any suggestions or ideas as to what's going on?
Thanks

Bump
I've tried searching for a solution too, but I haven't seen one yet.

That might be rom related, or specific to certain settings when using one style lock screen over another. Might want to go into settings for lock screen and make sure that ripple effects are turned off. Also might want to ask in the Rom thread itself. Other users may have experienced the same and be able to answer your question.

So my Nexus 5 gets here tomorrow but I've been playing around with the kit Kat launcher on my Xperia.. I figured out how to add panels but is there a way to set one as default? Thanks!

I believe the default screen is permanently set to the first one to the right of the Google now screen.

I don't know if getting to Google Now from the home screen by swiping to the right is set up in a way such as Apple's way of getting to the search panel. It seems more like swiping from the left starting kinda OFF screen, like how you tend to do with slide-in settings tabs and such in different apps. Only guessing though, as i don't yet have my N5 (should have it by Wednesday at the latest), but that's what it seems like in every video i've watched. Someone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong with this.
Yup when Google now it's activated it is a normal swipe from the to access it

Use another launcher. Lol. With stock one what you see is what you get.
The continuous home screen functionality existed in the Galaxy S5, but it appears to have been removed for some reason in the S6. I've went through every setting and I cannot find anything.
Have a completely stock T-mobile Note Edge and recently been noticing that when I flip through my home screens (2) that the font is real small then pops to regular size (the font under the app icons) also the calendar widget goes back to regular size (that's only a tad smaller than normal)
I tried getting a screenshot of this happening but flipping through home screens and holding down the power and home button fast enough is a wee bit tricky.
Anyone else getting this issue? Seems to happen like 8 times out of 10. Running 5.0.1

Yes. Same here with stock, unrooted 5.0.1. My girlfriend also has this problem on her Note Edge and she's with Sprint.
Been searching for any reference to the issue online, you are the first person I've heard mention it.
I don't know how to fix this but I wish I did. I've factory reset, wiped update cache, uninstalled apps. I'm out of ideas short of getting a replacement. [emoji29]

I'm thinking it's a software bug.

Not sure what significance this has, but I noticed that if I go to developer options, scroll to GPU rendering profile and enable 'show onscreen as bars', for me this issue is longer reproducible.
Could you test this out on your device to see if you get the same results? It could be helpful.
If this is a software issue, I wonder if using Odin to write a fresh copy of 5.0.1 to the device would fix it. Have you tried this?

Still happens

Huh. That's interesting. I'm kinda hoping it is software related. I still haven't figured a way to permanently fix it.
Did you try odin'ing fresh stock firmware back onto the device? I haven't tried that yet. Or what else have you tried?

Oh ok. Well this is not a huge issue, but if I figure out a permanent fix I'll let you know.
I wish someone else more knowledgeable would help with this...

I have a T-mobile Note Edge and I am having same exact issue. i think the problem is with TouchWiz. I downloaded Nova launcher and it works fine now..I would be glad to get rid to Nova launcher and go to to Touchwhiz if the problem is solved.

Try a factory reset, there is no screen burn in on LCDs
i can confirm that this is true while it looks like burn in once you turn the screen off for a while it will disappear its, more of a ghost image. use amoled Burn in fixer form the play store or an all grey image and you'll be able to see it where the status bar is located.
This was really bad on some v10s but I haven't experienced it yet on my v20. It's not permanent like led burn in. It's a ghost image.
On my v10 it showed up when I used an app like my Word text game which kept the same image on the screen for a while. It was also worse/showed up faster the brighter I had the screen.
Glad I haven't seen it on the v20!
You also can't screen capture screen burn as that is hardware, this looks like a software bug. Tho not completely understanding your first post.

i recently got this as well.. Sad that it has happened so quickly for me... Rebooting and shutting down didnt help at all. Nor do I thing factory reseting would either. It showed up before I was going to sleep so I locked it and went to bed. It went away the next morning. It freaked me out and made me think I was going to need to get a replacement but all is good.
Yeah I realized afer I finally woke up that you can't screen cap that lol.
It did it again last night at work. It was Facebook yet again. I played a few YouTube vids and made it go away.
Sent from my LG-H910 using Tapatalk
I haven't had the luck to experience that. But with IPS panels it is bound to disappear at some point. Now, you are only missing to find the way to generate the ghost image once again. IF it only happens with specific apps, or if it happens with everything in general.
So far it only been with Facebook in landscape mode
