Use another launcher. Lol. With stock one what you see is what you get.
The continuous home screen functionality existed in the Galaxy S5, but it appears to have been removed for some reason in the S6. I've went through every setting and I cannot find anything.

Hi there,
I searched for this but could not find anything, so my apology if I overlooked it somewhere.
Just bought my Galaxy SIII through Verizon, Android version 4.0.4 ICS. Everything is still stock except for changing the wallpapers on the homescreen and lock screen (both different). Here's my issue and it seems to be off and on. If I hit the home button, regardless of whatever app or screen I am on, the wallpaper will glitch and seem to "offset" itself for a brief moment. This results in some blurred/granular stuff on each side. So far I've turned off the animation and transitions in the developer option, and turned off S Voice wake up when hitting the home button twice. I also tried reverting my wallpapers back to the stock wallpaper. Nothing has seemed to fix this problem as of yet. It's not lagging the phone performance, but it's annoying and look like ****.
Anybodye give me some help on how to address/fix this issue? Thanks in advance for any help.
Tom
You overlooked the fact that this is the galaxy 3 forum whereas you should be in the galaxy s3 forum

Yes, just noticed. Deleting and movind lol!
So my screen rotation stopped working all of a sudden. Tried calibrating around 100 times, still it dint work. I thought I had a defected samsung device. After an hour of googling I learned that users having devices like Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy S3 were facing the same issue.
So whats the fix?
Turn the phone off. Remove sim card. Put it back. Reboot.
I dont know how the SIM card is even related to this but it started working instantly after I did this.

I was facing the same issue while watching videos on the youtube app. The video changed itself to landscape and never went back to portrait no matter which way I held the phone. Try calibrating the phone and then remove sim card, put it back and reboot. Its working fine with me now.
Cant get from where to calibrate in stock jb.

So my Nexus 5 gets here tomorrow but I've been playing around with the kit Kat launcher on my Xperia.. I figured out how to add panels but is there a way to set one as default? Thanks!

I believe the default screen is permanently set to the first one to the right of the Google now screen.

I don't know if getting to Google Now from the home screen by swiping to the right is set up in a way such as Apple's way of getting to the search panel. It seems more like swiping from the left starting kinda OFF screen, like how you tend to do with slide-in settings tabs and such in different apps. Only guessing though, as i don't yet have my N5 (should have it by Wednesday at the latest), but that's what it seems like in every video i've watched. Someone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong with this.
Yup when Google now it's activated it is a normal swipe from the to access it

I've noticed a very subtle but strange behavior on KitKat generally. When I unlock my device, there is usually a smooth window animation that leads you into the home screen. However, if you access the camera by swiping right on the lock screen, the next time when you unlock the device, the animation seemed to be gone and just enter the home screen really quick. I set the window animation scale to 10x in developer option just to see if I was right and I found out that indeed when you enter the camera from lock screen, the animation is gone. It does come back after a reboot though. I am wondering if this happens to everyone or just me.

It is very subtle but somehow I just feel there is something acting differently.
Haven't seen anyone mentioned it yet so i thought I was the only one...
Bug confirmed, I had the same thing but not sure what's causing it.

Like others have said, this is a confirmed bug. An easy workaround though is to swipe left on the lock screen as if you're going to access the camera then quickly swiping right before it goes into the camera app. In other words, swipe left then right.
If it doesn't work for you after you try it, let me know and I'll try to be more specific.

Or if you press the recent apps button there is a little box icon under the x icon, press that and it will auto full screen the app

Thank you !
I think this topic is going to help a lot of new users.
Lots of apps that arent formated for the screen Aspect ratio.
If you full screen some apps they will cut off the sides (keft and right edges)
This happens in clash royale.
Does anybody have a list of apps that do. I noticed it cuts off edges putting it in full screen. Otherwise it's like having bezels on top and bottom anyways.
I hope app developers start making apps compatible with new screen ratio. It's like having a ferrari and driving it down a dirt road.

This is not a solution. Because some apps will stop to work and some of them will get even worst "resolution", like NFS: No Limit.
Apps must be optimized.

Girl.
My Credit Unions app hasn't worked since Marshmallow.
Actually, one of the TV Remote apps didn't work but then I found that Samsung had one.

The latest clash royale has a screen that exceeds s8+ screen. Any workaround for this?

Load it up, then press the recents button and click on the rectangle in the upper right corner
