[Q] SM-P600 Screen Display issue - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a refurbished SM-P600 that I was hoping to use. The issue is that the screen's display appears to have moved down the tablet so that there is display on approximately 3cm of the screen. The rest of the screen lights up and displays vertical bars. It is as if the display has slid off the tablet. The proximity sensor for the S-pen appears to be working fine.
Things I have tried:
Factory Reset
Updated Firmware
Disconnecting and Reconnecting the LCD ribbon.
Is there a file or parameter on the SM-P600 that changes the display position on the device? If there is, how do I access it? Alternatively, is there a way to recalibrate the display position by using buttons only?

[INFO] Capacitive Buttons

The bottom row of 4 Capacitive buttons do not light up as bright as The other galaxy S phones. This is Normal, not sure why (maybe battery life). I went to the AT&T Store today thinking that my LEDs for these buttons were doa, however every model phone they had are the same.
Just letting everyone know.
Maybe there is just a Root Setting to Change the brightness of them, but we will have to see as Development Continues.
I'm fine with the brightness, i'd rather have the timeout fixed. Everyone is having this issue. I also would like to have the option to change lock timeout screen.

[Q] Odd horizontal dotted line on my Xoom

Hi,
After powering on my Xoom today, I saw there is a horizontal dotted black line across the screen (Vertical if i put the screen on portrait mode)
Going into Fastboot mode, the dotted line becomes white color. Anyone experience this before and any solution to fix it?

I can't seem to pull up the photo, but it sounds like a hardware issue from the way you're describing it. Your only choice is to send it to MOTO for repair. Since there's no way to prove it wan't from abuse you'll likely have to pay for the repair. :-(
From the picture it seems to be hardware related.
Use the following two tools to see if its not a "stuck pixel" problem.
Display Checker
Display Checker will help you identify dead pixels
Pixel Fixer
If an LCD display is subjected to physical shock, this could cause one or more TAB connections to fail inside the display. This failure is often caused by horizontally flexing the chassis (e.g., while wall mounting or transporting a display face up/down) or simple failure of the adhesive holding the TAB against the glass. TAB faults require replacement of the LCD display module itself. If these connections were to fail, the effect would be that an entire row or column of pixels would fail to activate. This causes a horizontal or vertical black line to appear on the display while the rest of the display would appear normal. The horizontal failure runs from edge to edge; the vertical failure runs from top to bottom.

[Q] Touch Screen Unresponsive plus White Horizontal lines

Hey guys and gals,
I have nexus 5 that is just about a year and a half old. Every now and then, when I wake up the phone from sleep, the touch screen becomes unresponsive and I see white horizontal lines running across the top. I have tried restarting the phone, resetting the phone to factory. The problem still persists. The only way I get the lines to stop from showing up and get the touch screen responsive again is pushing down on the screen hard at random location.
I have attached a video of the problem I'm getting. https://youtu.be/CzgZ1bcN1Lk
I'm suspecting its a screen issue and I need to replace the LCD panel, Digitizer, etc
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
You need to replace the digitizer (if I'm not wrong), I've encountered this issue before on my older phone.

just display is not working...
service center say i need to change mainboard
but i think this is not problem of mainboard..
help my nexus 5
Could you see images on the old screen?
Hey! The display probably isn't the problem. It may actually be the battery not being able to supply power to the screen by being burned out. Try replacing the battery then take it to your local carriers store
Don't think it is the battery if the phone functions other than the display.
I have changed the screen on roughly 10 nexus 5 phones and, even with a so-so battery would boot the phone no display an image.
did you find a fix for your problem? I'm having the same issue. Everything works, I can hear sounds, notifications, receive calls but cannot see anything

Always On Display ignores proximity sensor

Hi all,
I just got a 2018 Galaxy A7 this week.
I can't get the Always On Screen to function correctly.
When the proximity sensor at the top of the screen is covered, the screen will fade all the way down, but not shut off completely.
If I leave the phone face down on a table, I can see the screen dimly reflected off the surface if I turn the lights off.
From the manual: "If the sensor at the top of the device is covered for a certain period, the Always On Display will turn off". So it should turn off if face down, in a pocket, etc?
I tried setting "Block Accidental Touches" but this makes no difference. Same for a factory reset in case something I installed was holding the screen on.
Am I missing a required setting?
With thanks
Also: I checked with the built-in tests (dial *#0*#). The proximity and light sensors seem to work ok, so this appears to be a software or setting issue? Or a mistake in the manual?
I confirm that the aod will automatically turn off if I put my phone into my pocket. But I afraid of the burn out of my display. The aod seem to stay the same position in a very long period and there is no option to set up the period for the movement of the aod. Maybe I will turn this funtion off.
Thanks for checking. I'll contact Samsung about this.
I don't know if you need to worry about burn in, the clock and other information seems to move around often enough. Even the home button moves slightly to avoid issues. They've used these screens with these anti-burn in measures for a while and there hasn't been a large number of complaints.
Yeah, A7 has this function and I worry about the burn in of its screen but it do not have LED notification and because of that I must use aod. But the A6, my wife's phone, do not have aod and LED notification. Why Samsung did not support LED indicator for A series? It so annoying.
