[Q] ZTE Grand X V970 (Tegra) Power Issue

Hi, Just got my hands on a ZTE V970 and experiencing some odd issues. The phone seems to randomly drop into an unresponsive state, one where the phone is still powered (confirmed via the notification light) but will not respond to any interaction. A battery pull seems to be the only way to reset the device.
The odd thing is that this only seems to happen on battery power, and from what I can tell only when the battery is below 85%, give or take. I've tested the device for one night and a day connected to a power supply with absolutely no problems at all. But when disconnected within an hour it will begin to randomly die.
Does anyone know what the problem could be? Possibly simply a bad battery?
Thanks in advance
Its the UK Nvidia Tegra 2 version on ICS.
?
I guess I was just wondering if anyone whould know if this is a physical problem with the phone itself, or a firmware issue? I've been searching but haven't come up with much at all.
Music?
OK! So, I've been playing around a little more, and so far it seems if the phone is runnning on battery and I sleep the phone while playing music, it wont die...! So, any ideas whether this would be a firmware or hardware issue?
Swap!
Hey! Just to follow up, I returned the phone for another handset. Been using this new one for a week now and I've had no problems at all

[Completed] [Q] Samsung Galaxy s4 clone i9500 dead wont turn on or connect to pc on signs of life

My Dad brought the phone from Alibaba and after 3 months it was boot looping so i tried to fix it for him. When i got into the recovery mode i factory reset it and then it was flash nand or something like that. I stopped it half way through the process and after that the was dead. Not connecting to pc not turning on no lights to indicate signs of life. The phone is getting power because when it is left charging the back where the camera is located feels warm. If anyone knows a solution or is the phone unrecoverable please tell me

Hi, as mentioned it may be difficult to find support for knock-offs. I did find this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433709 where the last post the member gave some suggestions of places to look.
You can also try to post your question in the international S4 Q&A section here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/help
Best of luck to you.

Z5p unresponsive and start getting really hot

Hello guys
After about 2 month, this is actually the first time I have experienced such a problem with my Z5p...
I was using telegram and somehow the device became unresponsive! (nothing worked)
I though maybe it's related to the overheating issue and immediately touched the back of the phone and it was pretty cool like always!
I have decided to leave it alone for a few minutes, so maybe it become responsive again...
However when I grabbed the phone again it was uncomfortably hot and still unresponsive!
I had to press power and volume up buttons to reset the phone! after a few minutes I turned it on and everything was normal!
Well my question is, does the phone turn off automatically reaching certain temperature even in that situation (unresponsive) to prevent hardware damage?
I'm worried if my phone is damaged somehow....

Question for PRO's: S7 overheats and freezes. Heat center is PMIC... HELP

Hi everybody,
I have a S7 which recently started freezing and heating up. I had already flashed Superman Rom so warranty was out of question.
Today I removed the back cover, and found the Power management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) to be the hottest part of the internal parts when the phone is frozen and heated up, to the point I can't touch PMIC or I'll burn my finger in seconds!
Can someone with relevant knowledge/experience kindly let me know if I right in assuming that the PMIC is the source of the whole problem. I can buy the PMIC from eBay and have it replaced by a friend of mine who is a pro in soldering. Please note the phone still boots, but it's only a matter of time before it freezes and heats up.
Natalie
P.S.
It's an Exynos model.
Shameless BUMP
mine did the same.. till this morning where when i took it off charge.. the green light stayed on.. but.. thats the only thing that comes on... screen black.. force restart is non responsive.. dont even get picked up by pc when i connect it via usb... DL mode start up is also a fail... im stumped..

Galaxy S7 freezing and restarting

Hello everyone,
My galaxy s7 started freezing and restarting. It sometimes even doesn't start on its own and gets stuck at 'Samsung' screen and I need to press volume down+home+power buttons. Most of the time phone gets hot when this happens. But I noticed it can even happen when the phone isn't hot at all. I tried doing a factory reset and this didn't help. Still the same problem. I guess this is a hardware failure, right? Anyone had a similar problem and had it fixed? Can this be because of a faulty battery? But other than this problem, there isn't a visible problem with the battery such as discharging quickly.Thanks..

The battery doesn't have to be hot to be failing. The S7 battery is only designed for 500 cycles of recharging after that it starts to cause problems.
