Please dont ask if you can dirty flash. You can do what you want. Make a nandroid BEFORE you flash, if it doesnt work out then just restore your nandroid and re-plot your method of flashing.

I dont use Edify defs. I hand write my updater scripts. Nothing to share.

Because odex is better, more efficient so you get a smoother feel.
De-Dodex is not as smooth as odex. Some devices you can see this better in. This device is pretty close. But if you want the best then you go Odex.

If your coming from another stock based ROM a wipe would not be needed.
If your coming from something like PA or CM then I would wipe because I dont know s**t about those ROMS

I think I found a bug in Googles code...
If you look real closely at that WiFi Icon in the status bar, the arrows dont show up when data is going in and out.
Is it just my old eyes or can anyone confirm?

I just stated 5 posts ago if you coming from a stock base it would more than likely be fine.
You guys know how to make Nandroids, right? Back ups?
Its always best to do that, test what you want, if it doesnt work out, then restore your nandroid and you have lost nothing.

I don't think that is a bug. It was mentioned as a "feature", along with the GPS not blinking anymore when searching.
The arrows got moved into the drag down status bar.
They seem to not really want you to know what is going on and whether you are online, when data is being sent/received, whether GPS is running, etc.

Ok folks, the OP requested a thread cleaning.
So here's how it goes....
1) Thanks - Deleted as you have a "Thanks" button. Use it please. No reason creating a new post.
2) Slow downloads - This can happen anywhere. Try at a different time. No reason creating a new post.
3) Dirty Flash - Com'on folks, you take your chances when you dirty flash. For best results, always wipe.
Now, the above posts have been cleaned. I HAVE however, left some of the OP's replies so a touch of info has been saved.
Please, look at the info above, and in the OP BEFORE you post. The Rom is Stock, so there really shouldn't be a whole lot of questions, and most of those belong in the Q & A Forum.

Ok so I have actually found something I'm still a noob at! I updated to KRT16S with a dirty flash from Scrosler's KRT16O, and it's still showing I have an update avaliable in my status bar..How can I get rid of this notification?

nope, it cant be ported, other roms can use my commits to make it the same if they want... but port wont work

no, you will have to check the thread for news. now in the active development period there will be probably more release per week.. then when it settles it will be about weekly or biweekly

This may be wrong, but when i had this running, the sound pack it had included seemed different than that of lollipop? If so, is there a zip of it somewhere? Ended up going back to 4.4.4 at the moment. Need the battery life ATM.

it should be the same as cm12, maybe different defaults.... all files are in the rom zip

Thank you!! it worked. I installed yahoo weather app and used it a widget. Then refreshed the status bar wether, them rebooted it. It worked.

internal storage not showing up
So this is the only lollipop rom i really like so far since it removes carrier provisioning for tethering. And im a tether heavy user. But with the latest update after i flashed it and booted up the rom the internal storage showed up empty. So i thought i had accidently erased my internal storage. But i flashed a different lollipop rom and lo and behold all my internal storage popped back up. It never did get wiped idk what happened. I tried flashing this rom 3 more times with a complete wipe and i get same results no internal storage.

its yet unknown why this happens, solution is in the thread if u search for relink sdcard.
it would be cool if people provide more info on their setup... as it never happened to me yet and i flash like 15 times per week probably.

I guees 4th times a charm. I tried flashing it again and this time everything worked out just fine. Didn't do anything different didn't redownload the rom...... Weird. Love the rom tho!

just to give u some headsup, @nicholaschum was so kind to start making a very own custom boot anim for this rom! looking forward!

thanks for this bad-ass rom however i've just clean-flashed the 12/24 build and the signal icon now has an exclamation point which wasn't there on the 12/23 build. is there a setting i need to tweak?

you're not stupid, simply there isn't this option in rom

Move apps to SD card does not work
I've tried a couple of ROMs and this seems to work great, but I have one issue.
I've tried [ROM] [5.1.1] Resurrection Remix® Lollipop v5.4.4 and it had option to move apps to SD card, but I didn't like if for some reasons.
This LiquidSmooth ROM doesn't have that option, as it seems, or I'm missing something?
Could you please let me know if there is a way to move apps to SD card?
I've tried some apps, but they didn't work as expected. Do you know any that is free and does the job?

Thanks, flashlight problem solved but i think the previous version from 09.06.2015 it's a little more fluid than latest build.
In the latest version 14.06.2015 it's a little lag on it. I use slim gapps from 12.06.2015. Anyway it's a very good ROM.

Also having the issue with sim puk code. Is it somehow fixable?
Edit. Atm the fix seems to be to remove sim pin at all.

Force close in SMS- and Settings-App
First of all, thanks for the effort that you puz into this Rom.
Its runnings nice and smooth on my Galaxy S2 Plus, but I keep having some 'force closes' of the SMS-App when tryinf to enter a chat. My Settings-App also closes itself when trying to open my 'Advanced Privacy Guard Settings'.
Please try to fix these issues

sms fc is an app problem (i don't know if app is made by liquid team or someone else) for this release just instal sms app by google ( delete the pre installed one with root uninstaller), all bugs will be fixed i'm doing my best to fix annoying bug also liquid and slim team are working on to fix the source so i ask only to be a little patience

Missed calls
Whenever i missed a call there is no icon in the top left to indicate that,Is that a ROM problem or is there an option that i have accidentaly turned off?

Something broke for me when updating from 4.1 r2 (Or r3? Don't know, the version from mid June, before the 16.06.2015 one) to r6.
Mobile status says "not connected". I'm registered with German O2 HDSPA network, I can make calls and SMS works as well, but I can't get an IP anymore. Network via wireless works just fine.
I've did clean flash (format everything except for boot) 2 times in a row, only image and Gaps Zero, flashed via TWR. Checksums verified.
APN settings manually verified, the broadcasted APN settings are correct.

Please include in the next issue of the function of answering a call by pressing the volume, if not difficult.

Successful upgrade
On an XT1034 (1st Gen Moto G from Wind Mobile in Canada) I just upgraded from MIUI Kitkat 4.4.4 successfully.
I had an issue with my bootloader being version 41.13 while flashing. Naturally the process was aborted during flashing. To fix this I downloaded a new motoboot.img from the second url in this link, and flashed it with fastboot:

fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar version-bootloader
Everything works great so far. The UI is snappy and I haven't had any errors. Thanks!

If I only want to upgrade to the latest update could just flash and wipe wipe Dalvik cache and cache without having to make the full wipe ?

Is there a github link for this ROM? I'd like to follow the changes and updates.

Niropa please add the function call answer button of volume if possible, otherwise it is best...

Hey Niropa, I'm having a few issues with 20150611-2107's build.
1) Pie Controls: When I go to add buttons for the pie control, I might click the add button at the top of the screen and the list of controls to add is empty. Alternatively, I try to click an already added button to change it, and the list that pops up is empty. If I remove a button by swiping it off screen, It doesn't add the action to the list. This is the case for both the first level and second level pie buttons.
2) Notification Drawer: (I was having this issue before 0611's build) I have the setting in the Carbon Fibres settings to display 7 icons in the notification drawer. In my actual notification drawer only 4 icons are listed. If I try to scroll side to side or up and down on the icons, nothing happens. I'm not sure about how the actual functionality for this feature is supposed to work.
3) Power Save Notification Drawer Icon: I have this icon displayed in my notification drawer, and in this latest build the icon always displays as enabled and does not toggle power save mode. It just doesn't work.
Also, when I create a screenrecord, where does it go? I looked around in my filesystem and couldn't find the files.

It was working fine and then once I restarted my phone after some days, it started optimizing apps and kept on restarting after that. Had to factory reset to make it work.
Also the dialer sometimes does nothing when I click on a contact name to call them and I have to restart the device.
Are these things fixed in the latest build ??

Getting error when trying to flash COS 12.1 rooted with latest twrp
When i try to install COS 12.1 it gives an error: "Error executing updater binary in zip". I'm using MultiROM TWRP 2.8.7.

Boeffla kernel with his tuning apk

Downloading and installing the rooted version the update went smoothly but now Google Play wont update anything. Have someone else had this problem after updating the ROM? Is there a way to work around this problem?

Check out these pics and numbers. Last night deep deep sleep without issues. The others are my battery cycle. I'm running @ZaneZam U511 kernel and also using disable app to disable gplay services, that's it.

SMS Broken af
Hello, all. I flashed this file this morning, booted up, and sms was not working. I did not make a backup because I assumed a small update would cause no problems (Ik better now for the future). I tinkered with it for a little while then decided I'd try and reset my phone and backup my messages. Unfortunately, my sms backup app didnt work. Neither did titanium! So, I booted into recovery and made a backup of just my data. I reset my phone and booted back up. All my stuff was gone but sms worked. So, I decided to try and restore my data backup. Afterwards, I booted back up and all my stuff was there, but again, sms no longer worked. Can anyone help me with this, please!?!? I suppose I could start from scratch with my sms backup from two months ago but I really would hate to have to set up my phone all over again and lose 2 months of texts. Any help is massively appreciated!

@suaverc118 Could you please say what disabling app for gplay services you use?
I have already updated to 5.1.1 To instal the kernel I just have to flash the zip? (if so which version)

Yes just flash and that's it. I use Zanezams u511 kernel which is the latest beta for 12.1. And here is the pic of the app.

@suaverc118 Sorry for being annoying, but i cannot find the u511 kernel(the one i found is for CM12, not for CM12.1) . Could you please attach it or post the download link?

Sorry I meant u521. Here is the link to his thread. His kernel is a modified version of @lordboeffla kernel using different tool chains. Look in the OP for links to 12.1.

Look for the very top one in the pic I posted. When using disable services, anything that pops up blue you go and click it until it turns red. Go back out and back in and more will pop up, but it doesn't take long. In my pic, you will see all are now red. Before, some were blue.

@suaverc118 Everything settle , lets se how long does battery last (I have chose battery saving mode in the kernel apk and uncheck the red option)
