Hey Guys, want to know if anyone else has tried importing photos from the s6 to either OSX photos app or iPhoto.
When I set the photo to be picked up as a camera both these programs recognise the photos and show them but when import is hit it fails to copy any over.
I have the SM-G920I.
Anyone else seen this issue?
I haven't tried on another OS yet and I do know I can get them off other ways I am specifically looking to see if this issue can be resolved.
Have you installed Kies or Smart Switch?
I have Smart Switch installed but I have the phone connected as camera not in MTP mode...

Hi, I have a Samsung D900 and an 8525. I got accustomed to managing my text messages through my computer via bluetooth connection to my d900, but now that I moved to the 8525, i don't have that feature anymore. Anyone know where i can find a program to do the same thing as the message manager? I've tried sms-it, but it won't connect to my phone. I've downloaded wammu, but whenever I try to go into setup, it crashes, on my computer and on others'.
I've tried searching on here, but came up with threads about texting from your computer straight to a cell, not through the phone. any direction would be great!
anyone?...
no one knows?
dont know if this will help but try this...
hi all
has anyone experienced their photos disappearing (deleted?) off the phone upon syncing with the PC?
admittedly the device in question is a Chinese Traditional Touch Pro with English windows...font incompatibilities aside, disappearing photos are a still bit too extreme..
i found this.....but there's no solution
at least it proves that im not the only one??

nobody?
As far as I know when you connect to the PC the memory card (where you potentially have the photos stored) is "disconnected" from the device, which means those images wont show up.
thanks for the reply...
hmm ive had worse where the memory card cannot be seen by the phone after activesync (i think it was after..) untill it's taken out and then pushed back in again.
but still...that shouldnt be enough to make the photos disappear completely..
First off i live in New Zealand and i imported the captivate because i preferred it over the standard galaxy s phone we have over here.
Since i received it however i have noticed a few software issues which i am needing help with or wondering if theres a stock GT-i9000 rom?
The issues are as follows:
No Swype keyboard, came with 'Chinese keyboard'. i have sinced installed a keyboard form the marketplace
No Accelerometr/gyro. When trying to access game or apps that require it they say it cannot be detected. furthurmore i cannot put the phone into landscape mode when sending an SMS for example to flip the keyboard
The ambient light sensor and the proximity sensor are same as above, they either do not work or arent detected
The phone cannot connect to Kies or any computer in general. It worked once where i could access the external SD card through my computer, but when trying to get it to connect to any computer simply nothing happens, even when windows says its succesfully installed drivers it cannot find it.
As you can see thats alot of issues. It also crashes when i try to access 'mobile AP' in the settings menu. The phone came rooted without any samsung apps, widgets, wallpapers or anything else that it should have. There is also a app called 'superuser permission' which i believe is related to it being rooted?
So what i'm thinking the most logical choice is to somehow install android again, but with a fully functioning OS (e.g. accelerometer, swype etc). im not looking for anything fancy, preferably just stock andorid 2.1.
Since i cannot properly connect to a computer how would i backup all my data on it? And since its being used in New zealand, not america (its been unlocked) will doing this unlock it?
im sort of a noob at all this and haven't had any help from anyone yet.
P.S sorry if ive got spelling mistakes and what not, i wrote this in a rush before bed
Thanks,
Doctorwhobbc
I don't have the technical knowledge to help you that much with your inquiry.
It seems like your phone has a lot of problems with one you just imported. Are you sure that the place you got the phone from is reliable?
I need help recovering photos that were hidden in a "Secure Gallery" application. My old Samsung Galaxy S3's screen cracked and will turn on but will not display anything. I put the old Sd from said phone into my new replacement Gs3 but it didn't recover any of my photos or music or the photos inside the Secure Gallery app. I have tried plugging my old phone with the cracked screen into my computer via Usb and looking through files but I couldn't find anything. Any suggestions on how to recover the photos? I don't have the right tools to switch motherboards with my phones, either.
Hello I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, Model Number SM-S902L. I shattered the screen on it today and I am trying to recover my contacts. I have tried a couple of programs to try to access them to no avail. The program doesn't have my model number listed and if I try to type it in it won't accept it. I can turn the phone on and hook it up to PC and access files, but I don't know if I can get the contacts that way or not. Please someone tell me if there is certain file I can grab off there and put on my new phone or if I can just view the file and grab the contacts from there. HELP PLEASE!
1. Let me ask the obvious. Was your phone synced to google contacts (I am sure you will not be asking if it was but it never hurts to ask)
2. By any chance did you sync with Kies?
3. Which software did you try. - Did you try this one? http://www.fjsoft.at/en/
