[Completed] WeakControl on Android 4.2 Rikomagic MK802IIIS - XDA Assist

For tetraplegic I need to take remote control of his big TV. He is dislocated and I need remote control to start skype and comunicate with him.
At first I try to use TEAMWIEVER but i have troubles with starting session because it expect "allow" confirmation at the begining and after startup somebody has to start teamviever. And now I found out yours WEAKCONTROL but it works onli on android 4.4. and on. Is there any chance to get solution on 4.2. Google Jelly Bean (CPU RK3066 Dual Core with 8 GB). I am prepared to pay for that solution.

Hello, and welcome to XDA! The best thing to do would probably be to ask directly on the Weakcontrol thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-weak-control-free-t2926789, and even possibly contact the developer directly through Private Messaging. You will need to register in order to post on the thread.
Good luck!

Android for O2 Joggler

Hi,
I am a user of the joggler.info community. We are trying to create a working build of Android 2.2 using the android-x86 source and the vilivs5 modifications.
Until now what has been achieved is the following:
basic graphic support (the image is 8bit color) most of the time the interface is fluid during the transitions not. Many games doesn't work, I tyhink because of the lack of opengl es.
wireless support
ethernet works
touchscreen works
audio works
We would like help overall for the graphic/display driver. The user who is working on this has also tried to apply the 32bpp patch but the result is a yellowish image.
If anyone knows how to make any changes or improvements post it here.
Thanks!!!
+1 for this please
I'd love to see this developed too.
in the meantime we have an almost full working image of Android 2.2. You can download it here: http://www.multiupload.com/FSK4RWEYTR
You can follow the development here: http://joggler.info/forum/index.php (software -> mobile os section, android 2.2 thread)

Android for Lenovo Yoga 13

Hi All,
I have been a long time XDA user, and follow and utilize a number of threads for my android devices!
(
For the first time ever i have not been able to find what I'm looking for and so I send out a plea for help (or lay out a challenge if people prefer them) !!
I have a lenovo yoga 13 and can run a live version of android 4.2 however i do not want to complete a hard drive install due to the lack of support for the wifi and BT.
I was wandering if anyone would be able to create a yoga 13 ROM including the driver for the realtek RTL8723a wifi/bt chip.
This has been working on Ubuntu elsewhere.
My knowledge does not extend passed installing ROMs so the process to learn this is beyond my grasp. I am happy to donate to developers should this help!!
I would love to do this myself but would not even know where to begin.
I have managed to install the relevant version of android and touchscreen etc works brilliantly, i just need the ability to connect to the internet.
I guess there are two options and some advise would be great:
1 - could i use a usb wifi adaptor that would be supported by Android rather than the built in realtex card.
2 - where should i begin to look or research if i wanted to learn how to modify the install in order to include the correct kernal or support for this version (I am assuming using the working ubuntu drivers in some way). Any recommended reference materials to get me started. I appreciate this option may require quite some time to fully understand android development.
Thanks

[Completed] Remote control/screen sharing?

I'm adding my dad to our family plan and getting him a smart phone. Probably the HTC Desire 510 (Sprint)
I gave him an old Samsung Galaxy S3 (unactivated) just to play games on, and he really likes it, but it's caused hours of over the phone support because... He's old and has never touched a computer...
Is there a remote control "server" I can install on his phone so I can see what he's doing and help him?
I looked at TeamViewer, but it doesn't seem to allow remote desktop like access.
Thanks,
LT.Son

Check this thread: Way to remote control android phone With tablet.
There are some interesting solutions, e.g. with VNC.
There are also other remote control app, such as [APP][Android 3.0+] Monitordroid - Remote Administration Tool for Android ... and some on Play store, but maybe not exactly what you are looking for.
If you have questions about the TeamViewer app, check this thread: [APP]Teamviewer Quick Support - Remote control the Note by the computer/laptop FREE.
Best place to ask is in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.

[Completed] help me with easycap viewer

hello,
i bought the easycap viewer android application,
and installed it on my devices
The easycap viewer needs an easycap frame grabber , connected via usb to the device and connected to a camera (via bnc or s-video or rca connector)
the devices i have are these:
- Acer iconia tab a500 (tegra 2 , android 4.03)
- Created N7 (china phablet, mt6592, android 4.4.2)
- Xiaomi m2s (qualcomm snapdragon, miui v5)
The application does work flawlessly with the Xiaomi m2s,
instead:
on the Acer, when i start the app, the screen become black, and the app is not responding
on the Created N7,, the appl starts , but when i connect the camera, i cannot see the video coming from the camera
I dont understand why on these devices the app does not work,
and need help to understand what is the cause of the problem.
The app includes an option to send log report to the developer
(autodroid), i sent it, but autodroid told me to try with a powered hub, but this did not help...now they are working on other project, so they told me they cannot help
Could you please help me to find the cause of the problems?
By the way, on the Acer i cannot send the report, because the appl is not responding:
so i enabled the logcat, and i was able to see in it that the appl is hanging when it tries to load the streaming library...
Could yoy help me?
I can send you all the data you need to debug the appl..
or, if not possible to fix it, could you suggest me an alternative frame grabber application/usb dongle that can work with my devices?
Thank you!!
Lodovico
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist Not all apps are universally compatible So apps support only certain set of devices whose Specifications match with application and hence for your devices its not supporting
Thank you
I know that sometime, with some simple fix to an application, it can work for a broader range of devices...
Or, sometimes, the issue can be solved with an upgrade to the os of the device ... (for example, i could try to upgrade my Acer A500 to the 4.4 Omnirom and see what happens...)
Perhaps the developer has stopped working on this application, but with some simple fix it could work also with my devices
Are you sure that this is not the case?
By the way, i faced a problem like this with an other application, the IrDroid, (available for free on the Play Store)
It didn't work with my Sony tv, but then i was able to find the sources (it was open source), debug them ( i installed the SDK on my pc), do a simple fix, compile them, and get an IrDroid app that now works also with my Sony tv , flawlessly...
The easycap is not open source, but i found some russian language forums, where there is an active thread about the easycap application, and applications like it (example... carcam) ...perhaps there some program sources are available...
Any suggestion?
Thanks!

[Q] Remote control Android >from> Android - persistent permission granted

Hello all,
My parents are very old and their TV comes through an Android box. They constantly have issues and I want to be able to control their device from my home. All the screen sharing software I've seen requires a passcode to be read on the slave device and entered on the master device. This does not work for me as my parents are way too technophobic to be able to open some app and find that code... so my question is:
Is there any software you know of that will allow me to give permission to a screen sharing software ONCE so that days or months later I can still control my parent's Android device without having to find the code again?
Thanks,
Mark.
