[Completed] help me with easycap viewer - XDA Assist

hello,
i bought the easycap viewer android application,
and installed it on my devices
The easycap viewer needs an easycap frame grabber , connected via usb to the device and connected to a camera (via bnc or s-video or rca connector)
the devices i have are these:
- Acer iconia tab a500 (tegra 2 , android 4.03)
- Created N7 (china phablet, mt6592, android 4.4.2)
- Xiaomi m2s (qualcomm snapdragon, miui v5)
The application does work flawlessly with the Xiaomi m2s,
instead:
on the Acer, when i start the app, the screen become black, and the app is not responding
on the Created N7,, the appl starts , but when i connect the camera, i cannot see the video coming from the camera
I dont understand why on these devices the app does not work,
and need help to understand what is the cause of the problem.
The app includes an option to send log report to the developer
(autodroid), i sent it, but autodroid told me to try with a powered hub, but this did not help...now they are working on other project, so they told me they cannot help
Could you please help me to find the cause of the problems?
By the way, on the Acer i cannot send the report, because the appl is not responding:
so i enabled the logcat, and i was able to see in it that the appl is hanging when it tries to load the streaming library...
Could yoy help me?
I can send you all the data you need to debug the appl..
or, if not possible to fix it, could you suggest me an alternative frame grabber application/usb dongle that can work with my devices?
Thank you!!
Lodovico

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist Not all apps are universally compatible So apps support only certain set of devices whose Specifications match with application and hence for your devices its not supporting

Thank you
I know that sometime, with some simple fix to an application, it can work for a broader range of devices...
Or, sometimes, the issue can be solved with an upgrade to the os of the device ... (for example, i could try to upgrade my Acer A500 to the 4.4 Omnirom and see what happens...)
Perhaps the developer has stopped working on this application, but with some simple fix it could work also with my devices
Are you sure that this is not the case?
By the way, i faced a problem like this with an other application, the IrDroid, (available for free on the Play Store)
It didn't work with my Sony tv, but then i was able to find the sources (it was open source), debug them ( i installed the SDK on my pc), do a simple fix, compile them, and get an IrDroid app that now works also with my Sony tv , flawlessly...
The easycap is not open source, but i found some russian language forums, where there is an active thread about the easycap application, and applications like it (example... carcam) ...perhaps there some program sources are available...
Any suggestion?
Thanks!

[Q] Milagrow Android USB driver

Dear Team,
I have an android application and that need to be simulate in Milagrow tab top 7.16c
But, I could not get that device in the simulator list because of no proper usb driver is installed.
when i do an intensive search, I could not found that particular driver.
Thanks in advance, if anyone could guide me or help me to resolve this issue.
My application development environment is
Win 7, xamarin mono for droid
Raghunathan
Have you tried connecting the tablet and then searching for the drivers online automatically from the Device Manager?
Yes I tried that.. but no success..
I will put it the other way around .. It is listing under the device manager as one device, but when i see it in the device simulator list, it is not there. All I need is a "ADB Driver" to bring it in the simulator list.
Any useful updates..
Huh..
Kept my patience to the core, but no use.. finally client (really a big one) decided to scrap the milagrow and hand-shakes with leading one..
poor service from milagrow. From my experience, suggesting to all.. please dont go with milagrow..
Thanks for the support from this forum.

Just try this and let me know if this works. Install PDAnet which includes the android drivers. If this doesn't work, you can try installing unlockroot just to get the drivers.

CuBox-i. The little computer that can.

Hi,
I hope that this is the right forum in xda to discuss this; but I'd like to introduce CuBox-i; a tiny 2"x2"x2" scalable mini computer that has up to quad ARM processor; quad GPU shader, up to 2GByte memory that is based on Freescale i.MX6 SoC.
The machine is powerful in it's specifications and already has a community around it that fully supports it from software point of view (kernel 3.10 LTS, also upstream work in parallel, lots of distributions etc...)
The biggest advantage of this machine vs. others is it's 64bit DDR memory interface that provides a thick pipe that the GPU, processors and video engine can utilize without hitting walls on 1080p resolutions. Within the interesting features is 1080p HDMI with CEC, power USB hosts, infra red receiver and transmitter, Gigabit Ethernet etc...
We already provided Android 4.3 images and now working on Android 4.4. Look for github rabeeh/android-imx6-kitkat (I can't send the link since this is my first post on xda).
There have been numerous Linux ports already done, including XBMC support; mainly by the community around CuBox-i -
(Again, can't send link; just google "CuBox-i wiki" or "CuBox-i forums" and you will find it).
What we are trying to achieve now is perfecting Android on CuBox-i; with that we are looking for developers that are willing to provide from their spare time to contribute to this project. We have issues already posted on the github issues tracking system.
Needless to say that we will be providing the hardware for the developers for free
Please PM me if interested.
Best Regards,
Rabeeh
Bump!!!
Did you use perhaps the cubox i pro 4?
I am really searching other guys who try to bring the android-os forward.
First I use OpenELEC/kodi - Helix, but I want more from that great hardware, so decide to install android (android-4.4.2-1.0.1b-ga-aaf118bb78-gapps.img.xz). Works good but not perfect.
-There is no IR-Sensor Support or CEC to controll the interface with e.g. Samsung-TV remote
-Another launcher (I mean the gui) should be neccesary. I like this here:
-I think this is the android rom- ->This is not for the cubox!
-Here some more Android-FW's- ->They are not for the cubox!
-I think the hardware is not 100% supported. Antuntu gives worse scores and some app crashes again and again or some video stock while playing.
-My Teufel Decoder-Station don't recognice dolby or dts.
I you have no cubox and wanna help I can only replay:
Needless to say that we will be providing the hardware for the developers for free
-Full source code support is available here-

http://www.solid-run.com/community/ ENJOY i have the i4pro there is like 3 differnt versions of XBMC there
I am using the beautiful product that Rabeeh c.s. made: the cubox has a nice spot in my network. It is my NAS and my media-server among other things. And it's all based on Android (in my case 4.3). I am impressed by the things that developers can do in this Linux-environment. There seems to be a solution for every wish or problem. Thanks to you all. I am hoping you can also find a solution for the problem I posted on the cubox-community: "The one thing that is missing on my amazing cubox-i-installation is the possibilty to remotely control the android "desktop" on my cubox-i from my tablet or phone. There are several sollutions for it, but all my attempts fail on the same error: the apps all give the message that there is no internet-connection. I don't understand what is happening here. Obviously I do have an internet-connection to my cubox-i. I use it to download the apps. The only explanation I can think of, is that the android-app expects a Wifi-internetconnection and unfortunately, my cubox-i only has an ethernet-connection. Can anyone tell me what to do to let the app find my internet-connection? For example: which modifications should i make on the driver of the ethernet-adapter? The apps I tried to install, all look promising: Teamviewer, Bomgar, google remote desktop. They all will install without any problem, but they refuse the final step of getting an ID for remote access because of connection-problems."

[Completed] [Q] Intel IA and Android x86 integration

So I'm trying to get Android running on my Yoga 2 Pro (not the Yoga Tablet Pro 2 or whatever its called)
IM ASSUMING MANY EFI devices are having the same problems as well. Fill free to contribute
I was able to get Android IA dual booting very smooth with windows. However I have a few issues (I'm not a developer, I'm a noob, but probably have enough skills to contribute fruitfully to the conversation)
It works ...ok...As many of you know it doesn't have gapps, and I cannot figure out how to install gapps. it cant be installed like a traditional android device where one can flash it...
As of now, Display support works great. Both touch and hi resolution support
no sound
no bluetooth
accelerometer not working
Many apps don't work on intel ia as well....netflix, watchespn...etc
After fooling around with intel IA, I tried Android x86 instead...heres what I got from it.
Only could boot into Android from the live CD (my case thumb drive) when using VESA mode
graphic is not supported at high resolution (only in VESA mode)
gapps worked well with Android X86
Sound works
bluetooth (not tested)
I could not get Android x86 to install AT ALL...I can't figure out how to boot into android x86 using VESA on grub
So my question is this...How do I begin integrating the two if it is possible (I've read somewhere the kernals are different)..do I need to use Kitchen or can this be done by copying and pasting lib, and apks?.
I need the graphic support of Android IA
Sound support of Android X86
Working Gapps
whatever arm translator that seems to work in Android X86 as apps seem to work a little better
EFI support of Android IA
Any takers?
If anyone needs a tutorial on how to get intel IA working on Yoga 2 pro, I'll post one if needed
Hi,
Would be best to ask about this here,
Chef Central
I'm thinking the windows section would be best, but I'll leave that to you.
Good luck!

For tetraplegic I need to take remote control of his big TV. He is dislocated and I need remote control to start skype and comunicate with him.
At first I try to use TEAMWIEVER but i have troubles with starting session because it expect "allow" confirmation at the begining and after startup somebody has to start teamviever. And now I found out yours WEAKCONTROL but it works onli on android 4.4. and on. Is there any chance to get solution on 4.2. Google Jelly Bean (CPU RK3066 Dual Core with 8 GB). I am prepared to pay for that solution.

Hello, and welcome to XDA! The best thing to do would probably be to ask directly on the Weakcontrol thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-weak-control-free-t2926789, and even possibly contact the developer directly through Private Messaging. You will need to register in order to post on the thread.
Good luck!

Has any one been able to get a UVC device to work without user mode drivers on a Pixe

Title says it all, i am trying develop a proof of concept app for work and i need to test the built in V4L2 drivers. So far i have not been able to get it to work without using camerafi or any other usermode driver app.
Has anyone had any luck? this is written in the specification :
External camera support: Android 9 now supports external USB / UVC cameras on certain devices.
Yet i cannot find any information regarding this feature anywhere else.
Any info would be greatly appriciated!
Thanks
