If you mean the LG G3 then I would say it's a no brainer, what didn't you like about it?

It's a bit laggy, the govener is bugged accross all roms, though it can be kinda fixed. game performance are not great at all times, i 've seen the S6 is much faster and have better cam.
But idk about displays or battery life, is battery life good?

The display is the best on the market and way better than the G3 (I had a G3 for a short period of time) and since disabling google now (never really used it) I am getting 5 hours SOT with 24 hours battery and around 36 hours on battery with 3 to 4 hours SOT.

So u would recommend me s6 over g3 and i wouldnt regrat it?

I had the G3 since last July and switched to the S6. I'm getting slightly better battery life than the G3, which is great because the battery is smaller on the S6. Fast charging is also really nice to have. While the G3 took over 2 hours to charge from 0 to full, the S6 takes less than 1.5 hours.
The phone is also a bit easier to handle as it's smaller. I haven't missed the extra screen real estates on the G3. I thought I would miss Knock On, but using the home button/fingerprint scanner has been so easy, I actually prefer it over to Knock On.
The screen on the S6 looks a lot better to me than the G3. I can't really delve into anything technical, but when I look at the S6 screen, it just LOOKS a lot better.
I experienced some slight lag on the G3 - not too much - but I experience even less on the S6. There were some things when performed on the G3 that would persistently result in lag - such as changing the wallpaper (I always used very high res images). On the G3, on Nova Launcher, it would take a good 2 or so seconds between hitting OK and the wallpaper being applied. On the S6, it is instant.
I didn't mind the plastic build of the G3 at all, but the S6 does definitely feel more premium (for what it's worth it to you). The one thing I don't get is those people who are very particular about their phone build but then end up getting a case, basically making whatever the phone is made out of a moot point anyway.
Another feature I thought I might miss was the speaker. While it is louder than the S6, the S6 sounds much better - fuller sound with bass and not so tinny and still loud enough for why I need it (I listen to music while I shower).
If there are any other points you'd like me to address, let me know!

I played with gs6 in local shop two hours and was impressed by speed but that is all. I prefer g3 over it in all ways probably camera is better on s6 but idk. I think ill stick to g3

If you're not sure, i'd stick with what you have. The screens on the S6 at the moment are no where near as good as reviews make out.

That what i was saying good to know im not the only one. Ill stick with g3 it still has a lot life left in it.

I came from the G3 to the S6,and I am happy with the decision. The G3, while a good phone in general, seemed a bit laggy to me (among other things)...this includes after using several launchers, including my "go to" Nova. After being with the S6 for a while, I am definately more pleased with it and glad I made the decision.

Recommend the G pro 2? Would you buy again? What's to know?

I've kept my eye on the G pro 2 for a while (was about to get the original O G pro, but waited for this to come out). So I'm well aware of the specs, features, reviews, etc. But what I want to know is a real world user's opinion of the device.
Is the phone pretty decent? Any frustrations or quirks to know before trying to get one?
Key questions:
*How is the Mic/voice quality? (sending and receiving during a voice call)
*How is the battery life(I know it depends on usage and habits of the user, but just overall, how would you rate it personally, compared to other current/comparable Android phones)?
*Is it relatively stable and responsive?
*What bothers you about this phone?
*Would you buy it again if you were in the market for a new phone right now?(tells me that you like the phone and are overall happy with it)
I plan on getting a F350(a bit confused with the S/L/etc. acronym endings, can any one shed light?) I want to use it on at&t's network. On paper, and seeing professional reviews, the G pro 2 seems like my phone (1080p 5.9" screen, expandable memory via microsdhc, user replaceable battery, decent camera, etc.) But I want to know, if in practice, the phone is stable/frustration free(relatively speaking), decent real world battery life (if it's competent/comparable at least.. ), hoping that this is not one of those, "you have to root it and install a custom rom in order for this phone to be bearable"- type thing.
My other considerable is the Sony Xperia Z2 (prices are right, even though the screen is smaller and the battery isn't "replaceable"). I didn't want the Samsung Galaxy series due to the smaller screens and bloatware they put on there(note's a great series, but simlar.. bloatware, plus really expensive).
Thanks! I appreciate any input!
these are my questions too..
I came from a Samsung S3 (running CM).
first impressions were: Nice clean looks and lines, it's big (but it's not unwieldy). my wife has a Note 3 and it's about the same. the curve along the back sides makes it more comfortable to hold. Obviously, it's a heavier phone due to size, so your hand might get tired if you're one to use your phone lying down or something.
Screen is fantastic. I have no problems with colour issues with the screen and it's bright enough for me, even outdoors.
Battery life is good. standby can last more than a day. in usage, i was a bit busy yesterday and didn't use it too much, but from 0700 to 2300, i had 63% before i plugged it in. on a more typical day, I'd probably have around 40%. mainly a mixture of whatsapp, a few blogs, games and some TV show watching at lunch.
Camera is decent and acceptable auto focus speed. not a lot of bloatware.
I'm running 10e firmware due to bugs in 10f and waiting for lollipop. 10e is stable. not had problems with it.
problems: it's not widely available and the user base is small. so don't expect any fancy mods/firmwares or anything like that. as such, there's not a lot of accessories for it either outside of LG's own stuff.
My friend has the Z2 (not looked, but isn't the Z3 pricing nearly the same now?), and his camera is better and the battery life is longer due to Sony's Stamina software. display is about the same. If you want a big, stock phone, the LG is great. if you want to play around and like to customise your phone, then i'd go with the Sony.
Thanks for your input Ray-Lee .
I'm on the fence between the two phones, I like the bigger screen on the G pro 2, I haven't held one yet in person, but I don't think I"ll be bothered by it at all. Only thing that really entices me for the Z2 are the current prices for it right now.. for relatively similar specs, smaller screen, but better camera compensates. Honestly, I want the device to work well out of the box.. this is xda and I do play with custom firmwares and roms, but that's more of a result than a mission for me these days.. as in, if the unit runs better/faster/more stable compared to stock(or.. if stock is so horrendous that it must be rooted and flashed to be "decent").

Ive been using this phone pretty much since it came out (D838 rooted stock) and the stock Performance is fantastic if im honest it really doesn't need a custom rom unless you want to "mod" alot of things and even then as long as your careful theres still alot you can do with just root, i love this phone so much and its modified enough for my liking without a rom, its fine right out of the box and if you can live without a custom rom (which is really doesnt need that much) i think you'll be as happy as i am with this phone on stock with or without root.
But yes if you do like to flash and mess about alot go with the z2/note3 as there is more options there but this is still a brillant phone.

Thanks a lot for the assurance. I'm still bouncing around phone options, I guess it just comes down to price (best bang for buck, with expandable memory at least). I'm still considering the G pro 2, but I saw how the GS note 3 has come down a lot in price.
Thanks again!

I've had both and granted you can mess around with roms and stuff but for pure joy in use i much prefer the g pro 2 its a really really good phone and for the low price you really cant beat it in my opinion unless this phone gets a good recovery and cm11 ill never bother with costom roms ect. For me its perfect on stock the peformence is amazing, to date (about 6 months of owning this phone) the battery still amazes and im yet to see any lag ever!! The ui is amazing, for a phone out of the box you cant beat it if you like music it outputs brillantly im just in love so maybe im a little one sided but i hope whatever you do you will be happy! Let me know!

I only can agree with that!
I did get mine last week and i am very happy with it! Came from Galaxy Note 2 wich i liked very much but i dont trust Super Amoled Display technology since noone grants you that it will operate more than 3 years with heavy use. I chose this device because it has similar dimensions as the Note 2, stronger hardware, bigger 1080p reliable IPS LCD screen and fabulous 3200 mAh battery.
It's a must have for phablet lovers that want to have a good performing phone with large screen.
After just a few days of use this is my opinion. On software side is everything ok, just the usual Kit Kat problem that bugs lots of users out here, tha lack of having permissions for apps to write to sd card. That was the only thing that bothered me, but thats on Google side. This phone is truly amazing!
Hope that helps the peple to choose the best device for their specific needs. I found mine definitely.
Thank you for the input bhun and derbyshire! I really like the phone and want to get it, but for me the G pro 2 shipped from Asia to the US (I need the F350 model for LTE compatibility), it's about $600, I'm going to wait out just a little longer, it's a bit out of my budget (was hoping to score a phone for less than $450.. Sony Z2 and ZU did fit that for me, but not anymore either, haha).
I'm glad to hear that it's a great phone though(G pro 2), hopefully the prices will come down a bit for the F350 model and I can obtain one soon. Thanks again to all who have contributed!

The things that bother me about this phone are the poor wifi signal, I can be within a meter of my router and it still fluctuates between 3 and 4 bars. Any less than 4 bars wifi signal seems to have a noticeable impact on browsing performance. I also find the mobile data hotspot a pain, every so often the connection would hang and you would have to turn data off and back on again to get it to work. It seemed to do that every hour or so. Also if the phone gets even minutely warm, the brightness level will restrict itself to between 80% and 90%. I have had 3 LG G Pro 2 and they have all been the same. I also notice some flickering at times, especially when there is a white background on a webpage. I am almost fed up of mine and looking at selling it soon. It does have the potential to be a good phone, and I think all the faults I mentioned could be fixed with a decent firmware update.
I agree with you on wifi reception, its been the worst amongst all the phones i have owned

Ahh ****, stupid North America, they disable stuff for no logical reason

I checked the G3 at my local provider and it had no FM so I went with the z3, don't get me wrong its a beautiful phone I just hate when providers do this bull****
Yes, I have.
A bit of back story. I sold my Nexus 5 in anticipation of 6. 6 ended up being disappointing for me. So, as I couldn't bear abysmal battery of Nexus 4 I was using in the meantime I decided to get an interim device till I get snapdragon 810 device in May/June which I will then keep for as long as it can keep up with my demands.
Got LG G3. Loved it. BUT. I found screen a bit too wide to use comfortably with one hand. Same for Z3 to a lesser extend. My thumb started aching from reaching back button. I just installed app called Pie Control. Battery life was good enough for me. Standby beats Z3, screen on is better on Z3. Very good camera, not as capable as Z3, but OIS is very handy. Screens are comparable. G3 is a bit washed out but OK, Z3 is fairly colour accurate but white balance is off and is hard to get right but still ok.
I returned G3 because of sw stuttering. Z3 still has it now and again, but a lot less. Coming from Nexus 5 it was a pain in G3 but bearable in Z3. A lot of people don't even notice lag in G3, it's all about your perception.
All in all, while not perfect, I'd say Z3 is one of the best phones on the market and I'm happy with it. With that phone, even when the model I want to change it for comes out, I won't have to rush and will wait for a good deal, as Z3 will still keep me happy.
TL;DR. Is it an upgrade? No. Is it better? Yes.
To answer your question better I need to ask you a question: what is it in G3 that makes you consider a change?
I moved from a G3 too.
Z3 is much faster than the G3. G3 had occasional stutters, but Z3 is smooth.
Plus the audio quality is a bonus.
I do miss the knock code and tap-to-lock feature of the G3 though

HI thank you for your answers.
to answer your question i don t know why i want to change haha.
i got rid of the lag on the g3 by rooting and putting a custom rom on it,
the g3 has fantastic battery life for me as well.
Just heard a lot of good things about the z3 and am tempted to give it a try, but the root factor is a big doubt for me. i might leave it a few weeks until root is avalable on the z3.
i also like sonys ui i think i could live with the sony ui and not have to flash a aosp rom, as long as it has root it would be perfect.

I put a custom ROM on a newly purchased G3 yesterday, and it's an alright device, but I too am looking to switch.
I can tell you (I own a Z1 Compact as well) that if you think the G3 has a good battery, wait til you get your hands on a Sony. FWIW, my G3 battery experience has been just okay. I can drop close to 20% on the G3 browsing the internet for an hour. The screen is nice... but not worth it IMHO.
It is possible to get double tap to sleep if you are rooted and have Xposed installed....
IMHO it worth to change, the camera is better and battery life too. The problem until now is custom room and root against to G3 have all of customization.

I have moved from G3 too.
I liked the 4K display, the laser autofocus, and this is all, nothing else.
The G3 even with ART, is full laggy, this SOC not suitable, or not well compatible ( not the best word) with 4k pixel amount. LAGGY.
and.... THE SLOW MOTION. : If u take a slow mo video, with LG G3, you can only play back on your device !!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF u put the output file to PC, or anything, IT WILL be not be viewed as u desire, It will play it with 120fps, WHILE on Z3 , u can edit, or save WITH the desired 1/2, 1/4,1/8 for further playing. And the Z3, keeps the 120 fps file for further editing.
Stereo speakers on Z3....
Water and Dust handling...
what else do u need?
ohh yeah. the andoid 5.0 : only 3 country in the world got the update. Why? Not well optimized yet.
To anyone whos thinking about moving from G3 To Z3, I don't see the point, G3 And Z3 Have fairly similar specs, both offering a good experience; I'd say to stick with the G3. No point buying a Z3, Plus Z4's Around the corner
If you install a custom launcher (Nova for me) and use Screen Off and Lock, you can double-tap to sleep, with no root required. Perhaps there is an easier way.
I went from the G2 to a Z3, but I still found this thread interesting.

There's always SOMETHING around the corner. I stopped worrying about that.
I would also say that, personally, I prefer Sony's UI to LG's, and the build quality of the Sony just feels so much better. Battery, I expect based on my experiences, can't help but be way ahead of the G3.
I've ordered a Copper Z3 (6603) to be used on the Tmo network state-side and couldn't be more excited. Should be here by Wednesday.

I'll Agree with you there, However I'm not getting alot of battery time if i'm honest maybe bout 5 hours of Screen on time?

Tell my why I shouldn't return my One M9 for an S6

I've had my HTC One M9 for 2 days now, and I'm starting to see things that are disappointing to me. Especially for such a high end, pricey device. Battery life is not very good at all compared to my old LG G2. And it takes forever to charge. The camera is, for lack of a better word, horrible.
I'm trying to decide if I should return it to T-Mobile in exchange for a Galaxy S6. All the reviews I've read and watched lean toward the S6.
Tell me why or why not?
...You came to the S6 forum to ask fans of the device to talk you into NOT getting it?
Seriously? -_-
Nah, this is definitely an April Fool's post.
I was torn between the m9 and s6..after watching the keynote and seeing hands on videos, I quickly decided on the s6. I'm glad I did. Pictures look better than my g2 (the phone I came from). The screen crispness, colors and brightness is superb! Didn't mind not having micro SD or removable battery since I didn't have it before.
The only thing I find weird to adjust is that whites seem to have a yellow tint, where as on my g2 they were more blue or white (in my opinion).
The front facing camera is really nice quality too.
S6,higher res screen in a slightly bigger screen size. The size of s6 is smaller and lighter than the m9.

Well... the only cons are the same cons that every review mentions. Lack of SD card slot and price. Also the speaker quality is obviously lesser on the S6 if that matters to you.
The only other consideration is how much you care about rooting/unlocking/custom ROM support, which will certainly be stronger on the M9 just because it's a Snapdragon device. At least that's how it'll be initially.
Other than those, the M9 loses in every other measurable area.
So really the M9 Vs. S6 issue comes down to how much the price difference matters, how much you care about "3rd party" support, and whether or not you need a SD card slot.
Edit: Suppose the M9 warranty program is worth considering as well.

So far my s6 has slightly less battery life. But i can quickly go from 15% to 100% in an hour. Balances out. I'm using the s6 a lot to get things setup and such, so not quite a fair comparison. Letting the battery settle in for a week.
I do see a speed difference between my g2 and the s6 though
I'm even kinda been on the fence to keep my G2 and hold out what's to come in the fall, but that is very unlikely for me to do.

The s6 is faster, or the g2? Same here with waiting. I wanted to wait for the g4, but with T-Mobile's jump, I'm able to upgrade every 6 months. So, no biggie if I wanna go back to LG at the end of the year.

I haven't gotten the S6 yet since I'll have to wait until April 10th, and I'm also coming from a G2.
The S6 will definitely be faster- even though I really do enjoy my G2.
All the Bestbuy locations have the S6/Edge on display. I suggest you check them out in person.
If you are coming here to ask you have already made your decision. To be honest if you are interested in a G4 id wait until its announced and compare that to the S6 then get a device.
I'll tell you why you SHOULD return your One M9. The S6 is by far the biggest leap I've ever seen in a phone, and I've had every major LG/HTC/Samsung phone from the past 3 years lol.
It truly is a home run.
Keep m9 for a bit longer to see if anything changes in terms of camera and battery performance. I think a person should keep a phone for a least two weeks to get a good impression. Also go on HTC thread to see camera tricks. I'm getting m9 tomorrow and I will see if it will meet my great expectations as I'm coming from a phone that's three years old.
I would only buy s6 if camera was the main thing but for me it isn't and the negatives of the s6 outweigh my liking for the device. The soc difference isn't big in reality and I think they both have inconsistent battery reviews from people, so they are similarly disappointing. Design and ui are a personal opinion but I think m9 is better.
Go with whatever you like tbh and I hope whichever phone you choose you have a great experience

Only Gripe? Having a camera THAT bad is a HUGE fail on HTC's part, when the biggest weakness they've had since the M7 fiasco was their camera
All they had to do to save their company was fix their camera and put a 2K screen in their new flagship.
Instead, they did neither. I predict either a buyout from Samsung to grab patents or HTC simply going out of business in a year.

Screen is a moot point no real difference with 1080p its just a numbers game tbh. iPhone 6 has a lower resolution screen and funnily enough it also looks fine.
Thank god they didn't put a 2k display and the camera isn't an epic fail. They haven't pushed the sensor to what it is capable of. Also manual control says a different story. I doubt they are going bust this year and I think they would rather die then sell themselves to Samsung. I do hope they do get bought by another respectable company so they can be in a better position. They just need more money in R&D and marketing.

My thoughts, pros and cons

I'm really loving this phone. just picked it up a few hours ago and I am noticing some lag. Nothing crazy, just here and there. Maybe it's because I'm restoring my sms messages now.. It's not constant but once in awhile opening an app and clicking search will freeze it... stuff like that
My important test that lots of Samsung phones failed is downloading torrents and trying to do anything else at the same time. My note 4 couldnt play a podcast without stopping every so often when downloading torrents. Note 5 did it like a champ. No issues on the v10 so far.
I thought my phone was gliching when it said my card was 64gb and the internal was 64gb.. I thought i read somewhere that it was 16.. SO samsung stops sd card support and charges another 100 bucks for 64. and LG keeps it and gives me 64 for cheaper than sammy's 32.. awesome.
Really not impressed with the battery so far. Hopefully i can get the spare soon and it wont be such an issue but My note 5 (same size battery) had pretty impressive battery life compared to this.. it's just dropping and dropping.. Max brighness here is less than note 5's and it seems to use more power.. I have an external fast charger coming today so i'll be good anyway but i'm just not impressed at all.
I'm loving the camera... speed, quality, manual controls.. solid stuff. As a vidographer it's blowing my mind. Will this mean I can video live music without the mics crapping out? let's see.
I'm loving the build quality. Rubber is effing perfect! Screw glass and aluminum! It's amazing how it actually sticks to my couch cushion, bed, car seat when i put it down. dont love the slight extra weight and the stainless steel kind of makes it wider than it has to be but after seeing that drop test from android authority where it basically doesnt break from ANY normal drop, I'm ok with that.
Whatsapp is still putting it's heads up notification on the main screen instead of the second screen.... A big pull for me was notifications on the second screen and I use whatsapp a lot... this is kind of a let down though I can't blame LG for this.. Maybe if the phone gains traction whatsapp will update? is there a way to do it that i dont know about? Right now i installed an app to turn off the heads up notification and instead put it in the status bar but theres no way to get it to the second screen...
Maybe it's just me but for some reason apps have trouble once in a while getting a data connection on wifi or 4g.. Just for a few seconds a couple times.. but it is happening.
Hey mate, enjoy your phone
I hope the performance issue will be fixed after the initial day.
But the Whatsapp notification behavior is kinda weird indeed. I would assume otherwise because for example Google+ and Instagram notifications were popping up on the secondary screen on the youtube videos.
Im suprised by the V10s performace its opening and loading alot of apps faster then my Note 5 did and no lag on my end at all so far. Battery life is sub par i agree on that end, but overall i really like the phone so far.
I've only had it for a few hours and have been setting it up. Still haven't swapped Sim cards yet. Someone in another thread confirmed that the smart stay screen on feature was back on the V10 but I sure can't find the setting. Gorgeous phone and screen.

Lordy, your all beginning to get the phone! Arrrgh! More info please. How bad is the battery?
How much larger is the phone to the Note 5?
Is it a lot thicker? A lot wider? How smooth are the Screen inputs?
How long does it take to charge?
Everything.

Those questions are probably best answered by you going to check the phone out in store for yourself. No one can really give you the same experience and answer that you'd get on your own
These guys have had the phone less than a day, any opinion on the battery would not be fair.
I'm really hoping for something decent with the battery. I *NEED* juice! Hoping the LG promotional stuff will come quickly (assuming I buy the phone tomorrow AM)
Coming from a Note 2 with a 9300 ZeroLemon battery I have no idea how to deal with battery issues. I hear the battery low sound maybe once a month? It's a totally different experience with an extended battery. I'm hoping I can deal with swapping them out until hopefully *praying* ZeroLemon makes a battery for the V10.
I'm interested in any battery experiences....

And anyone already having the phone, how would you comment on "alt-tab" performance of it?
Is it still as great as G4 i.e. much better than Samsungs?
What I mean is, opening few apps (browser, game, mail etc) and then alt-tabbing/rotating back 5-6 apps one-by-one; will they just pop-up immediately and exactly where you left of rather then refreshing/restarting the app? That was a great performance feature of G4 against much "stronger" S6 and even Note5.

No chance of that. I'll have to get this online. Ta.
The v10 is a little bit taller. Note 5 battery will be better because Amoled is more efficient than IPS.
Currently have a G4 which has a 3000mAh battery with a 5.5 inch screen. V10 has a 3000mAh battery with a 5.7 inch screen. I'm guessing battery life be worse on the V10. Might just go with a Nexus 6P which has a 3450mAh battery with a 5.7 inch screen.

Would you still buy a S6/S6 Edge today?

Hi, I'm currently the owner of a OPO and satisfied with performance an everything, but it's just too big. Thus I'll need a new phone for not more than 500€ and with a screen about 5 inches.
So I wanted to ask you GS6 owner if you're still satisfied with your phone after six months. Could you answer these questions?
1. Do you still have the out of RAM problem?
2. How is your battery life?
3. Is your phone (with Touchwiz) still snappy or did it become slow?
4. Did you have problems with broken backs?
5. Does your phone run hot?
6. Would you still buy it now?
Thank you.
I was split between iphone 6 plus and note 5. But once I saw galaxy s6 my friend was using, I opted to go with galaxy s6 for a number of reasons:
1. RAM was a software issue, and after the recent update, I don't experience aggressive RAM management issue.
2. Battery life. Although not as large as Lg G4/note 5, it's enough, and usually lasts me a full day and a half of my normal use. Users complain of non-removeable battery, but I've never carried my extra battery on galaxy s4, so it was never a problem
3. Touchwiz is much less bogged down, and I really enjoy using it.
4. Build quality. No longer plastic, and I care for my phone, so I'm not worried about glass sandwich. Also, the back glass is relatively cheap and easy to replace, so I'm not concerned about it cracking/shattering.
5. The phone thankfully does NOT run hot. My ipad air 2 runs hotter than galaxy s6. I watch videos, and play intensive game (ie. vainglory/NFS), and haven't had issue with the temperature.
6. I would absolutely buy it. It's more compelling now, with the discounts, and deals.

Yes I do.
I tried op2 and Z5 in last months, both good but S6 is still better (camera and general performance over all).
I'm waiting for meizu pro 5, maybe that will be as good as S6.
Thanks all for replying, I think I'll buy the S6 next month
If I needed a phone today, yes, no doubt. Otherwise I'd wait until the S7 comes out in Feb/March next year.

Yes, but I won't spend more than 500€ and the S7 will be most likely 650€ or even more because of the weak euro... So I couldn't buy it anyway...

Yes, I have this is obvious. But in overall this device worth to buy despite of this issue. (minor issue, and 6.0 is coming we hope )
But I have tried z3+, z5 and this photo, camera quality cannot be compared with s6.
One plus thing : quick charge. Samsung doing well, again, against other qualcom 2.0 Qucik charging devices. It push up the battery so fast, at least 20-30 minutes before z5 can do, for example.
I really would like to use z5 like sony device BUT the overheating issue, and the camera quality is terrible. STILL with todays's Sony z5 fw upgrade.
I always hated samsung device to hold. But i have to change my mind, competitors is even not just arround the corner. I am also waiting for Q820, BUT the thing that Qualcom have sent the 820 to samsung to help them is redicious.
s6 still the best in every aspects. there are issues, but cannot compared these to Q810 devices....
And S6's price are dropping to floor each day by day

I will add my experience to the one that said not so good things about the phone.
1. Do you still have the out of RAM problem?
This problem is still there. I think that whoever says it's gone, does not know how it shows up. It's not about how much RAM you have free or not, or how much it lags on daily use within an app, but how many apps it can hold open at the same time. This is clear when you open some apps and "exit" them using the home button instead of the back button. You can easily see that if you open a webpage in Chrome, open a couple other apps (always using the home button, not exiting with the back button) that when you go back to Chrome, the website reloads from scratch, meaning that the RAM manager has killed the app and has to fetch everything again. So no, the RAM problem is far from solved. Hope they fix it in future updates, but I wouldn't bet on it.
2. How is your battery life?
I feel this aspect is really flimsy and blame it a lot on Google and it's Play Services. It can't be that while rarely installing or changing apps or they way I use the phone, my battery life is so irregular. Some weeks it's good, some is downright bad, then back to normal, I don't know. I suspect that the only thing that can change and affect this without me noticing apart from the battery life, is the Google Play Services and their shadowy background updates. The first weeks with the phone I was seeing like around 4hs or more SoT, and now 3 months later, I see from 2 and a half to 3. Had the same wobbly behavior with my previous phone (OPO), sometimes great SoT, sometimes just bad.
3. Is your phone (with Touchwiz) still snappy or did it become slow?
I would say that it might have changed but not substantially. It's by no means slow or unacceptably laggy. It's clearly no Nexus, but if you already know what to expect, I'd say it's good. In a scale from 1 to 5, being 1 painfully slow and 5 Nexus like, I'd give it something between 3.5 and 4. It's ok but it could be better.
4. Did you have problems with broken backs?
Not at all. The phone is not that heavy LOL. Now seriously, if there's something that I, as a Samsung hater between the S3 and S5 era, can congratulate Samsung for, is the build quality and materials. Top notch all the way. Solid and precisely crafted.
5. Does your phone run hot?
I notice it gets hot sometimes on the top right frame (above the power button), but you notice it just if you go and touch that part, the whole phone does not seem to have a problem with temperature. Didn't try to push it to have one, though.
6. Would you still buy it now?
I've been looking for a replacement just because I miss stock Android and the Nexus brand, but I am really not convinced by any of the Nexus since the OG Nexus 6. The Nexus 6 is just gigantic, not for me (the OPO was big for me, that's why I ended up with the S6 and love the size, it's perfect. Although I'd prefer it to be thicker to even out the camera bump and make space for a bigger battery. I don't win anything by having a phone this thin compared to this thin + 1mm of the camera bump, I think that decision was just dumb). The Nexus 6p is way better but still big (it's bigger than the OPO) and there are way too many reports for me to jump on it yet. The Nexus 5x does not convince me because I feel Google made it worse on purpose so that people preferred the 6p over the 5x, not just for the price. I would have loved to have a 5x with the specs and benefits (for example, the extra cable or the higher framerate filming due to the extra power of the processor).
Would you still buy a S6/S6 Edge today?
With all that said, I think that today as they said before, with the prices dropping, it's a great option. Even more if you care a bit about the camera, which is awesome. If it only had a bit better battery life, I would not think about replacing it anytime soon, but that and having stock Android always makes me think about other devices. Maybe I'll root and put a custom ROM to it, a stock based one, but with better battery life and less bloat. OH, SPEAKING OF BLOAT: it comes bundled in with some Cheetah Mobile software that cannot be uninstalled or disabled. That drives me freaking nuts and I hate both Samsung and Cheetah Mobile for that. Like, bad. For reference: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JuanManuelTastzian/posts/88sYktUP7oq
Hope this helps and sorry if the post is too long.

Thank you for your post. I currently also have the OPO and it's too big and the battery sucks since 5.0. I get a bit over 2h of screen on time, but I read on most pages that the S6 would have way higher screen on time, so what do you think? Is it really that bad currently?

I have also read that, but I kinda get similar times as I did with the OPO. Take into account that apps you usually use and the signal quality of the places you use to visit have impact on battery life, so the best way to measure it is to find someone who has a similar usage to yours, which is hard. That's why I just tell you that the battery life between those devices is similar, or maybe a bit worse on the S6, but not significantly, so I think you'll have a similar experience. I also envy those I see with 4, 5, even 6 hours SoT with the S6 and I can only blame the apps and network coverage, because otherwise I don't understand why the difference is so big.
no, i wouldn't, because i would get the NOTE 5...it's the same device with bigger screen, better battery, and s pen....that's the only reason....and the ram is always between 70-80% so it's better than 5.0.2.....and i won't call the phone laggy...sometimes it stutters but it doesn't lag, most of the time everything opens really fast.....battery is about the same as 5.0.2...3-4 SOT....
