Can no longer access Service Mode for band selection - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As of Yesterday, I was able to access the band selection mode on my S6 by keying in *#2263#. However, it seems that I am no longer able to do that. Does anyone know why this is the case, and is there any alternatives to accessing this function? I received a software update this morning, so I am wondering if that had anything to do with it.

WiFi-Calling Menu (Unlocked)

finally got my gold device yesterday. Upon installation, some messages about wifi-calling popped up, asking about how do I want to use this service. If I remember correctly, I had 3 options: (a) Wifi-calling as a default, (b) prioritize mobile service (T-mobile, in my case), and if i have no service then try wifi-calling, or (c) don't use wifi-calling at all. I chose the second option.
But, now I cant seem to find the settings menu for adjusting the settings. Was chatting with HTC online but they didnt seem to know and only suggested that i'll reset the device because these options appear only in the beginning (if this is true, this is really stupid way of handling stuff). Moreover, tried to do airplane mode (with wifi on) to see if wifi-calling would work and it didnt.
Anyone has a lead on how to get to the menu? I have the unlocked version and on T-mobile network.
Thanks,
Instead of a full factory reset, have you tried just doing the network settings reset?

I just did, and I've found it! I dont know if I've found it because of the network settings reset, but for everyone else who's interested - you can find this menu under mobile network settings.
Thanks!
Specifically if anyone else was wondering. It's under "Settings--> Mobile Data". I spent a good 20 minutes going through every menu in settings trying to find it. Why they put it here, is beyond me.
I have the Sprint version and it's not there.

Sprint has always done Wi-Fi calling so it's possibly only a matter if time here honestly for it to be added.

4G Super-Voice [Three] - has ANYONE got it working on the s6 edge?

According to http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/network/4G-Supervoice we should be getting Supervoice. However I'm not.
I've spoken to the customer services advisers and they know next to nothing.
I have tried installing various THREE firmwares, downloading their OTA updates and still no joy. I've tried turning on the hidden options for VoLTE but cant see to get them.
Anyone else have any experience of this? How to get it working, suggestions.
I've tried changing the bands to to 20 and 3 with *#2263#, but the InTouch app still does not pick it up
When you register on a network from the mobile data settings, what information is passed? Maybe it's possible to spoof it or fake the source files (copy them, or parts of them from the original firmware.

How to bypass carrier hotspot restrictions?

I've already tried googling, but most information is really old and doesn't seem to work. I'm trying to find a way to enable hotspot on my phone so that I can share my phone's data with my tablet. (I just want to watch video's on the tablet, since I think it's far more enjoyable on the larger screen) Is there anyway to get past the carrier's restrictions? Both devices are rooted if it helps.
Just put a vpn on or something or go through a proxy
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Yeah, but when I go into setting and try to enable hotspot I get the message "Service not supported. Please contact your service provider."

Question 5G re-enabling on reboot / at random. Changing from LTE/3G/2G to GLOBAL network mode. Cannot control.

Hi all,
I noticed this recently, biggest potential thing I can think of was the February software update.
Long story short 1) I have no use for 5G service for battery / data reasons as I pay by the gig. 2) I'm on GoogleFi so there's potential carrier aggregation woowoo going on.
I do the standard Mobile Data>Network Mode> Select LTE/3G/2G and the phone sticks with that for a time. However it will, seemingly at random, revert to the GLOBAL network mode which has 5G. It will 100% trigger this change if I reset the phone.
Would just like to confirm this behavior with any other user and figure out how to make it stop as it is pretty infuriating that I have to keep manually making this change, in addition to the fact that it's really, really not great from a security standpoint that the phone can be induced somehow to alter specific user settings.
Thanks for the help.

Quick edit: I have already gone into safe mode and changed network and reset, didn't hold. Also went into the dialer menu *#*#4636#*#* and changed the network mode, and it still reverts.
Same here.

Question Problem with bad service

Ok so I have an att variant (sm-908u) and when I'm home I have the worse signal ever I have to sit at my window just for it to kinda work I have searched all over for something that would maybe help a little but I have no pc to use external programs (was trying to enable all bands) thinking it might help is there any other option I can try?
Do you have wifi at home? Why would you be looking for a mobile signal from inside your home? If you are a distance from the nearest cell tower, your available service indoors can be marginal. The remedy for this is local wifi.
I dont have wifi anymore so I rely on my cellular data and when I'm inside my home my service is terrible I uninstalled carrier services but this didn't help I was going to try and enable all bands through the service menu but I have no pc so I don't know what to try next

One reason, why I do not have ATT. I can remember once. I could not make a phone call to my house from my driveway.

Try a network reset, clear sim toolkit data, have your carrier do a reset on their end.
Otherwise you may need a booster.
Good luck with your efforts to get your home Internet access up to par. I hope that you are successful.
