[Q] sprint activation rom - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I'm new to all this. Is there a ROM that I can flash over top of this Cyanogen (See pic) that has all the sprint activation stuff so I can activate my phone and flash back to Cyanogen?
I did make a backup of the original ROM software and after 20 or thirty minutes of looking for the backup I realized that I had backed it up to my phone and not my SD card........

Download any touchwiz based rom and flash it in order to activate your phone.

Cricket Touch Pro from Sprint ROM to Mighty Rom

I have a Touch Pro fully flashed (SMS/MMS, INTERNET) it still has the Sprint ROM but works well on cricket. I don't like that I cannot modify TF3D and don't like my home page. Also don't like that weather doesn't work or skyfire. Can I load Mighty ROM or Juicy ROM without loosing my Cricket settings? Do I have to erase the existing ROM first? What programs do I need loaded to my laptop to load ROM's. If I decide to use Android ROM, do I need to put it onto my memory card?

Purchased a Sprint EVO 4G w/ Gingerbread 2.3 and Cyanagen Mod 7.03 - can i activate?

Hi Guys I just bought a Spring Evo 4G that has Gingerbread 2.3 and Cyanagen Mod 7.03. Will I be able to activate this w/ Sprint? The seller says it is a clean ESN. Or will I have to restore this (how?) to activate it?
Thanks for the help!!
As long as the esn is clean, you should be fine. The things needed to activate a phone on your account are the imei, min, mdn, etc. These are independent of the rom. Since the imei is already in Sprint's system, you might even be able to do it yourself (though perhaps not a good idea if you have the insurance).
I thought so too, although the seller told me I would have to flash to stock rom...
Something else just occurred to me. If you take the phone to a Sprint store to activate it, I can imagine the rep being less than enthusiastic about programming a phone with non-standard software. For that matter, I'm not certain that cyanogen includes the programming menu required to edit these codes for activation. I'll update when I learn more.
Edit: The epst app which does the phone programming is not compatible with cm7, as far as I can tell. So he's right. You will have to revert to stock to activate it.
When I first bought my hero it was using cyanogenmod, I had to flash back to the original rom to be able to activate it.
Just make a nandroid backup & flash the stock rooted rom. After activation you can just restore from your nandroid backup or flash another rom.
I'd suggest the odexed version of stock. If you're taking it in, go ahead and flash the latest update that came out yesterday so they don't try to update it for you.

Like was said....simple nandroid the current setup and flash the latest OTA-Rooted update.
Once you get it set up the simply nandroid the stock ROM (Just in case) and restore to the CM7 setup.

Straight Talk M865c Stock rom needed

Bought this for my daughter.
Rooted it, did a nandroid, then forgot to copy my nandroid to PC before I wiped the sd card for ext..
So, after looking all over the net, I have found Modded stock roms, but none with the update profile feature.
I rooted and flashed a rom before activating, so now I seem to be hosed....
Nothin for cricket seems to work as far as "back to stock". I tried these just in hopes that they might work.. Even if they didnt, Im no worse off. Seems ST is the oddball of the carriers, since you cant get into adb with it, only recovery.
If you have a copy of this rom, or know where to get one, please post. Again, I need Straight Talk Ascend II (M865c) STOCK rom with UPDATE PROFILE option.
Or, if you know a workaround on how to activate while running a modded or custom rom.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Reverting to Stock so I can get phone working on Ting?

Hey guys,
I'm having some problems getting my this Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE working on ting. The phone was on stock rom, and I put Cyanogen mod on it after using Clockwork mod to make a nandroid...however, the external sd card crapped out, so I wasn't able to revert using the nandroid.
After using another external SD card, I installed TWRP as a recovery instead, and loaded a stock rom from the stock rom dump here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295643 .... I used the JB stock rom, and it worked, but the Hands Free activation to get it on Ting's network is failing with some error authentication.
I guess I could go try going further back to "stock " by loading the ICS dump, but does anybody have the RSDlite files require to put it back to factory the "motorola" way?
Any help would be much appreciated!

On the evil devhost, be careful to hit the 'actual' download link... When I upped them they weren't so evil. Apologies, I don't really have any permanent hosting.

Is there a PureNexus version of (m4b30z) room for Nexus 5?

I am searching for PureNexus rom for my Nexus 5 , based on the stock rom: m4b30z .
I tried the 7.0 version , somehow ,after flashing it, on the setting up page, it kept asking for inserting a nano Sims card.. but Nexus 5 runs off micro SIM card...
I tried reinserting the sim card, but it doesn't recognizes sim card .
So, I had to flash back to the stock room, and everything works fine.
But the stock rom, m4b30z drains battery too fast. For example, I charged my phone to 100% before bed, next day, it was down to 20% when I woke up.
I was also having issues with rooting and flashing the custom recovery . It would go through but after rebooting few times, phone just doesn't boot into twrp anymore, it just shows a dead Android
- I disabled most of the bloatware came with the stock rom, like Google doc, etc.
- it doesn't let me install ADAway.apk unless it's rooted. :/
- phone was having an issue getting LTE after rooting and installing other custom kernel...on the stock rom.
So I'm hoping to find a PureNexus ROM based on the lastest stock rom and hope that my serivce would work. (Get it rooted and with custom recovery. )
- phone service : Sprint.
