Synergy 1.7 camera focus

Just did a wipe flash from Synergy 1.6 to 1.7 and noticed the rear camera doesn't focus. Anyone else? At least that g dialer is gone. All else seem fine too.
Edit: Embarrassed to say a lens cleaning was what it needed.
Quadrant speed almost back to stock 5,000.
Horrible Google voice dialer still there if I try to dial from bluetooth. Man that was licked like 6 years ago on dumb phones.
Overall smoothness GREAT.

i just upgraded from 1.6 myself and my camera is focusing just fine.

Camera problems

I've been doing a lot of work trying to get a new ROM out. I thought it was just on the one I'm developing, but it seems this is present in all other ROMs, aosp and sense alike. Whenever I take a picture it used to show up in the little box by the shutter button. Straight to camera shots right? Now its not showing up in my gallery whatsoever. I have to browse through a file explorer to get to "100media" to find the pictures.
I've tried formatting my SD, RUU back to 1.85 nothing. RUU to 3.18 and its still doing it..... What the hell man

Sorry man I did read your post. That's not normal but I have no idea how to fix that issue.
I do recall another post about the same issue but I don't think that was ever resolved either.

I also read it but I have no clue what your problem is. Got a warranty? I don't know man. This is a great phone, but I've seen more people with problems... I'm on my second HOX myself and the battery is garbage on this one (failed at replacing it).

My apologies fellas... I just found out Its these senseless roms I'm working on apparently... I must be deleting something that prevents the pics from going into camera shots... I'm using bpears latest carbon build and the pics are going in their correct spots, and zenonHD is working properly also. But on rebelrom and senseless 5 they go into 100media
This stuff is so confusing...

That's where they're supposed to go on Sense ROMs. If you take a burst shot they go into 100burst.

[App] Lenovo SNAPit and SEEit (Beats stock Camera)

Here is a replacement for stock Camera and Gallery app.
In my opinion this is much better than the stock camera and gallery app. Try it out yourself and let me know.

Hey Walter quick question on which would need. Not sure if I want the 2nd one or not. Does that one give us the ability to attach to text or as saying removes that ability I just wasn't 100% sure

Yup Greenify does the job.

it doesnt seem to be destroying my battery, but I have yet to purchase betterbatterystats. I used AppOps to remove some of the permissions. Will report back when I've taken some pictures.

Search the forums the Dev has a free version for xda members till you can pay to donate for bbs just a thought
For those using this suggestion on which one to use and are you having it installed along with the stock or did you delete/uninstall the stock one

Thanks for the suggestion on AppOps. I have never heard of it before until now. It looks like something I'll use a lot. I've since re-installed this camera and give it a go!

Yup forgot to mention about AppsOpsXposed Yea I use that alot + Xprivacy and Greenify = Awesomeness.
AppOpsXposed + Xprivacy are 2 reasons why I don't mind installing any app because I can basically block every permission/access I want.

Battery Sucker
Wow.. its a real sucker of the juice pack. I was toying with it for 5 mins after installing and it has consumed 22% of my juice in those 5 mins. Anybody else getting this?
I am using a not 2 BTW

I didn't but I did also go in and greenify and turned off some things in appsops

Please see attached images from my Huawei 5Mp camera (resized for upload to XDA) ... firstly stock Camera app v2.0.002, then secondly Lenovo SnapIt v3.5.6. Both images are 2592x1944px but original stock Camera photo is 850Kb whereas original SnapIt photo is 2.18Mb. For all the difference I can (not) see, I think I'll just stick with the stock Camera app (its a lot less confusing

Look at the center building and you can see the different. Snapit Look better.

They look the same to me too.

I wear glasses, and have been taking pics for 30+ years, and I can safely say that the difference is there, but minimally.

Seems that the compression is less in the Lenovo app. The difference is there.

I had the same issue after installation, it was using 30% of battery, more than the screen. Uninstalled it, but i loved the gallery :/

im not getting the battery drain but when i click on the magic wand and select a filter the screen is moving in slow motion very choppy laggy hard to describe its not a fluid movement when moving phone any one else get this

Was searching through dev settings when to my surprise I saw dalvik/art. Anybody want to share their experiences so far? Improvements or bugs?

I just turned ART on so I would like to know as well...

I haven't had any apps that didn't like ART yet. Definitely makes things faster/smoother having the apps pre-compiled.

ART is part of KK so yes, it would be included. I turned it on and things are really smooth. Loving my M8.

Just because it's part of KitKat doesn't mean it's guaranteed to be included; the HTC One M7 didn't have it because Sense 5.5 and below weren't optimized for it.
However, I just switched to ART to see how it runs - so far everything has been smooth but then again I only switched about 2 hours ago.

I used art on my i605 and Toro. Saw more of a difference on those phones. This phone is just too smooth for art I disabled it not long after enabling because a couple of my apps don't get along with it.

Polaris Office Viewer doesnt seem to work with ART. Also the camera began to become a little finicky for some reason. had to switch back

I was using ART for a bit but honestly I don't see any speed improvements over dalvik on this phone. My DNA yes, it was night and day, but on this it's snappy as hell either way. I switched back to dalvik to use xposed

Because art is experimental and can change before final release. It is a lot of work to port xposed to art and the dev does not want to waste his time.

i tried last night. took FOREVER to reboot and then go through starting all the apps. then my tap to wake and gestures didnt work. i went back to dalvik and all is fine. did i need to let set in and cool off?? and yes the phone is stupid smooth normal can art make even smoother? idk

I've enabled art myself took forever to start up actually was getting a tad irritated then it finally came back on in my opinion it runs a little smoother haven't had any problems at all with apps

Nexus 5 Began Lagging After Root?

Hi! So I just rooted my N5, flashed Franco Kernel, Xposed+Gravity Box. So after this when I'm at the home screen there is an ever so slight lag when I click the recents button or go home from app tray, etc. So basically it kind of lags on the home screen, no widgets or anything. Is this my fault and is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks!

mess with the settings, find what you like. if youre still unhappy, try a different kernel, or different rom. try a few, find what you enjoy and what fills your needs. then youll be trully happy

Okay I'll try to fix this or I'll flash a rom. I think it's Gravitybox that's making this beauty lag.

It is gravity box. I quit using it for the same reason. Now, if I want features like what GB offers, I just use slimkat... Which has most if not all plus more hard coded

Oh I knew it may have been the culprit! Well I think I may just flash a custom rom for the features and avoid the lag. Thanks for the awesome advice!
