If an application can be safely frozen, does that mean it can be safely uninstalled as well?
EDIT: More specifically, if I can freeze an app and reboot without bricking, can I uninstall that same app and reboot without bricking?

Most likely. But you are not gaining anything from deleting....

So I did the temp root on my sensation yesterday and I used bloat freezer (paid app) to freeze some apps. Bloat freezer itself stopped working, but after I rebooted my phone so that I may use Android Booster (one of the apps that I froze) I noticed it was still missing from my app launcher. I attempted downloading it again, and it did, and then installed but I still can't find it to use it. All the other services/apps I froze all remain frozen. Thought that was interesting...
I thought that after reboot your phone goes back to the state before the root. Correct me if I'm mistaken however.

You are mistaken, disabling packages through temp root disables them until you re-enable the package. No offense but this is something you should be sure of before you start freezing packages. Also you should back-up anything that you freeze.
To use something that you have frozen you will need to re-temp-root your phone and re-enable/unfreeze the package.

Oh okay, thanks. And I know that I have to re root to enable, I was just under the wrong assumption that the packages are enabled after reboot.

If you froze, or removed any apps that are not normally removable if not rooted, the install will fail. Safestrap has been known to cause OTA failures in the past. Dont know if that is still an issue or not.

OK nothing frozen or removed. But I do have safe strap is there anything I can do with it to make the its work. Like uninstall it?
open the app, choose uninstall recovery.
open settings/apps/manage and uninstall the app
check both internal and external SD cards for any Safestrap folders and delete them.

Thanks worked like a charm. Update completed root restored using ota root keeper entitlement check completed. Jellybean smooth as butter.
I've never used safe strap and I tried using OTA rootkeeper to temporarily unroot and it still won't update...

did you update/remove any of the verizon supplied apps? If you froze them with TB, then just unfreeze them. If you have deleted any of them, then you will have to find the root thread here and startover installing ICS, and move forward with the updates from there.
Hi, just a quickie, I have my phone rooted and uninstalled the bloatware that comes with it. However now my banking apps don't work, so can I now simply unroot and the uninstalled apps will stay uninstalled and not cause any problems?
I used nobloat to uninstall and backup the apps.
Thanks
Nemo

No. If your device working well after uninstalling apps then it not affect on after unrooting phone.
Hi, I rooted my phone (Teeno A9 +) with Kingroot.
2 days later, I receive advertisements and popups on my device.
I used a patch to replace Kingroot with Supersu but it does not work.
I uninstalled Kingroot and now I have new applications:
Android Experience, Google Service (only 96 KB), Support, Device Manager
If I try to uninstall these apps, they reinstall themselves automatically after 1 min even if the connection is disabled except google servcice which is reinstalled immediately
I do not know what to do.
I have flashing my phone with the stock firmware and it does not work.

My best suggestion would be to backup all your data and reset your phone. Kingroot is notorious for causing adware, that's why I only use it for old phones I don't care about. Supersu is the only legit root app in my opinion. You could try installing Lookout security from google play store to see if that helps.

not sure if you fixed this, but I would recommend you doing a factory reset on your phone

Lol, if you knew anything about Kingroot, you would know that a factory reset won't do anything because the stuff that Kingroot installs, gets installed to /system, factory reset won't remove anything from /system, not ever.
