You need at least an unlocked bootloader to flash the kernel with fastboot.
You can find a howto in the description of the youtube video.
But you need to backup your data, because unlocking the bootloader will delete your data

Miui V6 Kernel with Touchfix driver
Any chance someone has a kernel with the new touch fix driver that is compatible with MIUI V6?

Question?
So can this be used with cos 12 if I flash with TWRP. Or is this only compatible with multirom?

The changes are the touchscreen firmware in the kernel and the hardboot support.

Not anytime soon. This is what CM said about this subject:
We are unlikely to enable nightlies against CM12 until towards the end of this month, or early next month, as we work to incorporate the CM features you’ve all come to appreciate into the new code base, and reimagine those that no longer translate to the Material look of L.

Thanks

Bluetooth audio not working
In the januar 4th build, I can't stream audio to my bluetooth speaker. Smart Chromebook unlock works fine, so the bluetooth is working, just something wrong with the audio.
seems like problems with charset

I installed the CM12 version and under several apps that I use, on their market pages it says "Your device isn't compatible with this version". Any ideas?
Great work with the ROMs. Its by far the fastest I've come across and installations are super fast.

Okay... So now I'm in the right thread
I'm currently running CROMBI-KK which is a ROM based on CM11. I'm using the DATA2SD option to bypass the crap internal flash and have an actually usable tablet.
Would I be able to flash CM12 over CM11 and retain Data2SD? Yes, I read the pre-reqs installing them is no problem. But rather than asking after I was in the middle of installing the pre-reqs I thought I'd turn over a new leaf and ask before
Without Data2SD the tablet is a brick for me.
Hi, where can I find the latest downloads?

John Kotches, if you came from an other ROM, my recommendation is full wipe. Anyway, if Data2SD is a system app, then you will lose it, because is not part of the ROM.
Because this is and official build, I'm not going to add tricks like Data2SD, Browser2Ram or any other. Maybe, I will add F2FS support in the kernel.

DATA2SD and ROM2SD have to be supported through the kernel and init scripts for the ramdisk.

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Can you post the link of your rom thread? Custom kernels are usually flashed from a custom recovery (TWRP, PhilZ Touch...) but some of them have to flashed from a computer or a specific app (.img files).
