¿Maybe you have installed "System Tuner" or "3c Task Manager" app?

you dont need any type of anti virus apps, trust me, and that might be the cause.

Check apps that are running continuously and causes battery drain.
Navigate to settings>battery
Try uninstalling apps that causes more battery drain.
Apps like antivirus runs continuously and heat up your phone.
If you can't uninstall them, just freeze them.
This will probably help you.
My phone get quiet warm with very basic tasks like browsing and chatting. It happens much more of 3G than wifi.
When it's idle it get quickly cold.

Hey guys. A couple of minutes ago something strange happened to my phone. I just don't understand what's going on with it. I'm so disappointed. I mean... this phone costed me some money and experiencing such a thing makes me regret so much I bought my Nexus 5. It is indeed the best phone I've ever had but if this is what it takes to have a phone for such a small period of time and already have so many problems with it then... I think it's just a waste of money.
I don't know what's going on with it - It just overheated horribly while scrolling down on Facebook. Never happened this before. I was just scrolling like normal and using FB like normal and all of a sudden my phone becomes so hot - quickly I opened System Monitor and CPU temp was at 60-67ºC.
Also if I go to the Battery Tab in System Monitor the graph is pretty strange in my opinion, I mean the battery´s temperature is going up and down all over again it's like the graph of a heartbeat record or something.
Don't get me wrong, the Nexus 5 is the best phone but if this is really what it takes to own a phone for straight two months.... I mean, really?

Though it sounds like a app causing you problems there l would recommend trying a custom rom and kernel l have always found the stock ROM to run a little warm. But maybe before doing that have a look at trickster in the play store you change many more things to help keep things cooler.
The stock kernels the culprit I'd say. It's set in a narrow freq towards the top end causing it to run hot. Use Elemental X.

Perhaps it's those monitoring apps that you have installed. Just reboot the phone, should be fine.

It was indeed because of these apps. Uninstalling them seems to have solved the issue. Thank you for pointing it out! I guess I was a lil bit scared at first.

i have a t-mobile galaxy s6 completely stock and since the 5.1.1 update i cant listen to music or podcasts for more than roughly 10 minutes without the app closing on its own. i've tried searching for other people having this problem but i havn't found anything. maybe i was wording my search wrong. but can someone steer me in the right direction to fix the problem before i trade in this phone.
Update: it was an auto stop setting in the battery management section. I guess after the update it selected all apps to auto stop. All is good again.
try to factory reset your phone....but remember it will delete everything...so backup....

Not sure this is a memory management problem. My music has NEVER shut off by itself. Doesn't playing music use the mediaserver anyway, which is a part of the OS? Which apps are you using for music/podcasts?

It only happening on 5.1.1? It might be some apps not working property with 5.1.1 only I guess.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpro
Buy this app and freeze all unused and unwanted apps(including system apps) and this will let you free up lots of memory. It doesn't require root and only works for Samsung phones but I'm not sure if it still works on 5.1.1(5.0.2 it works fine).
That has nothing to do with ram management ... Because the same problem was on 5.0.2 andaybe t-mobile messed something up ...

ALL IS FIXED! In the battery management section there is a function to auto stop apps after 10 minutes of the screen being off. I guess after the update it selected all apps to be auto stopped. I will go back to loving my phone lol
I've noticed the last couple of days that my phone every now and then downloads by itself some "ErrorReport" files. I've tried tapping at the notifications but nothing happens.
Does anybody know what this could be?
My phone is Xperia Z1 Compact, with rooted stock Android 5.1.1.
Thanks in advance.

After a LOT of googling, I think I found the cause of the problem.
In some German forum (I don't speak German! ? ) I read a post of someone having the same issue. He said that it might have been due to some app he had installed. The problem appeared after he updated some of his apps, which he outnumbered. The only one that I had installed too was Bluebox Security Scanner. So I thought I should give it a shot and uninstall it. And guess what! After uninstalling it the problem stopped! Not even a single ErrorReport download after 2 days without it! Before, I'd have frequent ones whenever I connected to a WiFi.
It seems to me so far that this app caused the issue. So guys, my question to you now is: do you have that app too? If yes, please try uninstalling it and report back the results.

Yes! Thank you! That's great. It turned out that's what it was. Last night i installed net guard to watch what was being downloaded and why. I was able to look at what connections the Download Manager app was making and I saw it reaching out to crashreport.bluebox.com multiple times. Turns out after i Uninstalled bluebox those "error Report" messages stopped appearing. Thank you so much for your help! I'm glad i left a post on XDA

Confirmed: after uninstalling Bluebox Security Scanner from my wife's S6310N the ErrorReport downloads have disappeared.
Some of those went on for more than 30 minutes!
On my own I was stuck.
When I tapped on the ErrorReport notification and then on AppInfo, it said: Download Manager.
I found many logcat entries of this type:
D/BatteryStatsImpl( 452): ++++++xy WakeLock start : pid=3346, name=, type=0, tid=1833, pid=452, pName=null
I/DownloadManager( 3346): Initiating request for download id = 178 with mAllowedNetworkTypes = -1 forP2Pbit = 8194
followed by
W/DownloadManager( 3346): Aborting request for download 178: got 503 Service Unavailable, will retry later FinalStatus = 194
But I am not even sure if those are related.
Kind regards,
Wim
Yes ... thank you so much. Had this problem of the error report downloads just as you described. Driving me crazy. Uninstalling Bluebox solved it.

The app Bluebox Wifi Protector is similarly affected and causes the identical problems.
Since it stopped working in Android 6.0.1 anyway it was a small step to delete it from my device (an OPO). Everything's fine now again, the Error-Report-thing stopp reoccurring since more than a day now.
Thank you for this thread's solution.
Edit: Unfortunately that was not the expected solution. The problem is still there. The other bluebox security scanner that has been mentioned in the thread beginning is not even installed.

I hadn't had the problem since I uninstalled security scanner my friend. It must be some app causing the issue. You need to check which apps where recently installed or updated.

It probably was another BlueBox App I still had: Trustable by Bluebox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bluebox.trust
At least that's how it looks like after several hours, tests and multiple restarts. Can't tell what Bluebox was doing there but it really got on my nerves.

Maybe those games left some junk behind when you unis taller them. Have you tried CCleaner?
or maybe the uninstall took some stuff with it. If that is the case you may need to do a factory reset or reinstall. The kdz file and dll are available.

I've had the phone for about 3 months and yes I started to notice lag and the phone freezing.
I expect it to lag a bit after a year but this is absurd.
I've noticed some other software bugs as well.

I may have stumbled a way to do it.
First time I did it was a about several days ago.
I recreated the process last night and I just for the 2nd time got out of soft brick and created a clean device I believe as opposed to dirty? Possibly if anyone would like to try out the process

I don't think it impacts battery life a lot, why don't u do some research if it really impacts battery life a lot. For me i'd love to root and install those apps and enjoy the lag free experience.... sadly my LG G4 bootloader is still locked and can't root it.

I have it in my developer options... T-Mobile.
Isn't in developer options on my v10 though...
Must be a new thing in Nougat then.
Ended up having AT&T send me another LG V20.
Haven't had any issues yet other than the occasionally slow down when updating apps and trying to do something else.
Kill Facebook Messengers chat heads if you have it switched on.
Then go into phone Settings - Apps - Messenger and disable "Draw over other apps".
See if that helps.
It seems to have worked for the lag issues on my v20.

Actually I have a v20 and it last at least twice as long as all of my friends iphones
Not sure if this would be the right thread but I'm just looking for a bit of advice since LG and T-Mobile aren't gonna help. Seems my V20 is one of many lemons and overheats like crazy. The option to disable hardware overlays helped but when an app crashes the phone reboots and at this point I'm over it. I just wanna know if i can just buy another single slot motherboard and swap it with the one already in the phone.
Dears,
Have you ever tried to make a call while you are using google maps ... and switching between both call and GPS... and if more like switching to chrome if you are crazy enough
it is so slow in multi tasking... I thought it is sometimes slow and lagging with some heavy games which I uninstalled all of them already... but also in day to day use it is relatively very slow mainly when it comes to using different apps at same time..
Thanks,

Hello,
I just mean the phone really lags when I am switching between couple of applications. for example, when using google maps for sometime, and then you try to make a phone call and then you need to get back to google maps... the phone acts like a very slow device.. Also, with some games .. and after playing for some minutes, the phone starts to lag again.
I dont know if this started to happen after Nougat or what... but I am not satisfied...

I don't have a solution but I know the reason what's causing it.
Even the phone gets heaten up, I've experienced the lag and it makes to throw off this mobile, the only solution is to get a decent cover for this device I guess.
