Hello, everyone .
I need to know whether it can be set anywhere using any mode flashing notification LED .
It bothers me to slow extinction and re- phasing and increase in intensity .
I would love classically blowing out quickly and energizing method .
thanks
(I am using Led Blinker - Nothing to change hard blinking)

[Q] LED Notifcation light
Hi,
When I get an SMS and my DS is on the table, I see the green LED notification light flashing for a short moment and then it turns off ? Is this normal ?
Also it appears that the Notification LED only flashes either Amber or Green. Ive not had a Desire before so im not sure if this is a hardware limitation or a software limitation. Does it not support Blue, Red etc?

All HTC smartphone blinks for only five minutes. On old model you can use Led Me Know or Missed Reminder to customize led notifications, but does not works on Gingerbread
Anyone know if the LED has any other colours than green / amber / red ?
I'm keen to know this too. . on my previous phone (HTC Desire) the LED light could do a variety of colors. green, amber, pink, blue, white, light blue. I was using GO sms to get the colours. but it seems that Desire S does not have the same LED.
As far as I know the led just supports green, amber and a kind of red. It's not a rgb led:-(
If you want the led to notify you longer than just five minutes use light flow from the market. I used it some time and it works. You can set the color an kind if notification for each event (eg sms, missed call, etc). But you need a rooted device. I got the full version and don't know if it works even with the light one. Try it and tell us;-)

CyanogenMod7 has some options to tune notification light. You can set it to keep blinking all the time, untill you will read new message or see a missed call (even while screen is on). Also you can set the color: green or amber.

or change color of the Led light?that would be cool for various apps
i think there are no options to change the led blink timing. Chacha supports only two colors of led if i'm not wrong, the orange and green.
yes , i doubt there are any other colors available for this device i bought this phone just becuase i like these retro notification lights for missed calls and msg , emails etc but unfortunately its only supporting for two colored LED, but i read in some reviews that it support red led also when battery goes low ( as per the user manual posted by HTC on th e net )
You could try Light Flow.
- It should be possible to change LED blinking time.
- It can override the LED when charging (which will also be done by CM7 or CM9)
- It can use your Facebook LED for notification too (you have to activate it somewhere in the menu)
- You don't even have to root your phone for this.
However since it seems that the HTC Led control is somehow limited, the way you can control is not very accurate but it is good enough to indicate missed calls during charging the phone, having some extra notifications, or use your Facebook Button LED, etc.
Hey guys I'm new to this phone from the LG Optimus G. I have a question about the Led light. I was using light flow but it couldn't successfully change the color it change the blink frequency but I tried to make the notification for hangouts blue but it was purple. Does anyone know a different app or what colors the LED supports? Thanks guys!
Hi,
I don't use Light Flow, but maybe take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2517430. You can ask in this thread, the dev of Light Flow is here.
For another apps there is Light Manager: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koo.lightmanager&hl=fr (I used it) or Led Blinker: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ledblinker&hl=fr (not tested).
Maybe others but these are the most known...
Some custom ROMs allow for the customization of LED, check there. Omni ROM is one that comes to mind.
Don't know about anyone else, but the one thing that really bugs me is the REALLY small, orange LED light HIDDEN behind the grill that indicates the phone is being charged! You can't see it in bright light and you have to hold your phone at a certain angle to even see it at all!!!
Anybody run across a settings change or an app or a hack that will allow you to use your notification light as an indicator that the phone is charging???
Thanks!
Mav
You observed :
The speed of blinking is very slow and can't be adjusted even using a 3rd party app like LightFlow or other.
But, there is a strange behavior is you want to change color ( I know LED is always White ) with "LED Blinker Notification" :
Use RED = blinking is slow
Use BLUE = blinking is slower
Use PINK = blinking is faster
So, you can use this behavior to differentiate your notifications ! :good:
----------
If your 6045 is plugged on charge, the LED is always on. So, you can't see any notifications:
The tips is to install xposed framework and GravityBox LP and then, under GravityBox, go to "power tweaks" and disable "Battery charging Led".
Now, use "LED blinker notification" to activate your LED for notifications and it work even your 6045 is plugged ! :good:
Voila !
