Clear the cache/data of play store/services or just update thru apkmirror.com.
The new Android ROM should be out by now.. how could we get it? No OTA update nor download mirrors is it even out yet??

They released it in India yesterday (H06L04). German source:

Only thing you have to do is download it and install to your phone, simple as that.

SMIUI is discontinued for Mi4i. As MIUI china ROM for mi4i has been suspended. The last build was in March.

No, running official, is it possible to mod OTA zip to flash via TWRP.
Why would you want to do this? the fastboot method has a check in case you botch the ARB.. while i understand you can definitely brick your phone if you make a mistake and use the wrong zip.

Yes , and I have installed twrp and have latest miui zip but cannot flash using twrp..
