[5/15][Odin Tar][VZW] - Stock Odin Tar - ALL_VZW_G920VVRU1AOC3 - Return to stock - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

Here is much faster alternative to the current Odin Tar that is hanging around. Not to diss anyone but putting an important file on a server that makes you pay for high speed access is LAME. This took over 3 hours to download from that server...
This takes you back to: G920VVRU1AOC3, Wipes everything! Like a new phone
Here it is on AFH.com
Fast for every one!
ALL_VZW_G920VVRU1AOC3_G920VVZW1AOC3_CL4318389_QB4424773_REV02_user_low_ship.zip

Latest Odin for this file....

How to use!
Load Samsung Mobile Drivers
Connect Phone while in download mode (Hold Power, Home and Volume down to get there)
Unzip Odin to desktop
Unzip Odin Tar from post #1 to desktop
Open Odin
Select AP and load Odin Tar
Wait a few seconds (depending on PC Speed)
Hit Start then wait until its done.
Do NOT touch the phone while this is in process!
When completed phone will reboot to recovery, do some "stuff" then boot up fresh like out of the box new!

You've been around more times than the ice cream truck in the second week of July. And that's a HOT week! Lol. Thanks for all your hard work sir! Looking forward to seeing what happens and it's good to know that a lot of us here "know you" and your credibility/reputation for producing great work. Keep it up buddy! =)

Having trouble ladies and gents. Hoping for help.
I am soft-bricked ATM.
I was running fine, rooted, and have paid for Flashfire.
I downloaded our friend scrosler's flashable rom with root and I somehow soft-bricked my phone on the first try.
So....I downloaded Odin and the stock rom from this thread, even got the latest drivers just to be sure.
no matter what I do, Odin reports: "complete ( Write) operation failed." and "all threads completed, (succeed 0, failed 1)"
Have tried it multiple times, even switched to S6 factory USB cord and moved around to different prts on my system, all are motherboard driven USB ports.
Any ideas?

Cant get MD5's to match. Have downloaded multiple times, have tried multiple programs to unzip....no luck.
Never mind...was checking MD5 against unzipped file. Zipped MD5 is correct.
Going to try Odin again.
Nope.....Odin still fails.
Would love some ideas of what to try next.

Ok, you are failing on the very first step. Make sure you dont have KIES running on your PC, make sure you are in download mode and make sure you are using factory cable.

Your not that guy who put the files on a server that serves 100K per second unless you pay are you? lol
PS: Why didint you ask the same question in this thread: [Root/Guide] How-to Root (Simplified)

Never had Kies on this machine. In download mode (press and hold down-vol and button at bottom of face of phone, and power).
Screen is light blue and says "Downloading..." with a big down arrow. Of course, Odin doesn't see the phone until I hit vol-up button.....and I am doing that. Factory cable. Have tried it in multiple motherboard ports....not an add-on card. I have used Odin on my S4 from this machine without problems.
Any other ideas? Thanks for trying to help me.

What are you using? Gingerbread or ICS? Remember there are two different ways to root this device. One for each version as mentioned earlier. What did you flash in CWM? Superuser? Need to be more specific..

First, no kies isnt installed, kies is the devil, and i believe i figured out what the major problem is, according to the box that the phone was in, its a galaxy s blaze 4g, but i was doing some searching online and it looks like the phone is just a galaxy s 4g, sgh-t959v is on the phone, not sgh-t959, i might be wrong but it looks like ive been using the wrong software for the problem.

For this particular forum, only the SGH-T769 will work with our Odin methods/downloads. You still probably corrupted the NAND rw flashing ours, but at least you know what to do from here on out
Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1480418 and you should be good to go. remember to download the Odin there, I'm pretty sure each version is phone specific to a small degree. and let us know how it goes.

FRP boot-up FIX SM-G930f

If you guys have encountered the issue " Custom Binary Blocked by FAP LOCK", you managed to do this in a few ways, an example is like what my dumbass did, root the phone and decide to turn OEM unlock back on protecting the phone from being modified, so if you cant boot up the phone here's a fix.
Firstly, ya'll gonna want Odin
Secondly Head Here and Download the Firmware which matches your country ( its roughly 1.9 GB so it might take a while)
NOW that you got everything you need, power off device and kick into download mode by pressing VOLUME DOWN + HOME + POWER
Now open Odin and Extract your files somewhere into a folder which can easily be found
You should have something similar to this
Now this is pretty self explanatory , place the AP files within the AP box,
The BL file within the BL box and so on, I didn't the " HOME_CSC_XSA_G930FXSA1APAW_CL7108765_QB8404011_REV00_user_low_ship.tar" into anything and the phone booted up fine, now press UP VOLUME to allow the phone to go into download mode and press "start" on odin and it will format your phone into factory which may take a few minutes and wall-ah , everything should now be working.
*note this is only for S7, for S7 Edge , instructions may be slightly altered as I dont own one so I wouldnt entirely know*
If instructions weren't clear and you somehow managed to get your **** stuck in a toaster PM me and i'll see what you did.
is there a method of doing this without wiping everything on the phone?
O did the same answer flash only AP file with odin. Previously download the right firmware with samfirm.
Nothing was wipe and everything boot fine after.
Wont work
Hey, looking for quick help.. I got the SM-G930W8 and im trying to do this. I load the BL, AP, CP, and CSC into odin, fire up my phone into download mode and click start once odin says my phone was added. which then it just fails immediately... Need help asap please!

What files did you use to restore from odin? What version was you phone on and what versi9n was the firmware you flashed? Also where did you download it from? (Check for the obvious, like deleting drivers and installing the correct ones or just reinstalling them. Or just use a different computer) Let us know as much as you do, so we can help you out
Looks to me like you have A LOT of driver compatibility issues on your computer. I see some that have to do with HTC.. Do you have an HTC phone as well?
Try these steps:
1. In device Manager, double click on one of the devices with the exclamation mark
2. Click on the "Details" tab
3. Under the "Property" drop down, look for "Hardware Ids" and click on it
Highlight the first thing you see under "Value" right click on it and copy it.
Mine says: USB\VID_04E8&PID_6860&REV_0400
And it's for the SAMSUNG Mobile USB Composite Device
4. Try googling that value. You should find compatible drivers for it.
I'm attaching the USB drivers I'm using.
Hope this helps.

As i can see you did not read the first post!
"My S7 is hard bricked after me restore it by Odin"
Basically this means: flash memory is not good for booting divice, so it stays in Qualcomm's Snapdragon USB serial bootloader/flash mode.
These are qualcomm tools.

Without an unlocked bootloader, it's nearly impossible to brick our S7 unless you try super hard to do so. Instead of getting snappy with people here, giving us information would help.
Can you put the phone into download mode? (power off, hold vol down, home, power until a blue screen appears, then press vol up)
What exactly did you flash with Odin?
Was the flash interrupted? can you provide a log?
Whatever you did to your phone, YOU did it. So dont come here, ask for help, and then tell the people trying to help to "Grow up".

I give up.

I've got a Galaxy S5 that I purchased from someone earlier today and it worked well until I did some type of software update, it went well but then restarted and it's been messed up since. Now, whenever I boot up the phone it boots fine all the way too the Sprint Spark screen and it just hangs, and hangs and then restarts again, and goes through the same process. I've tried reflashing the device using Odin but I keep getting an error "SW REV CHECK FAIL" with some other stuff. I've tired to do so much, I tried resetting the device and the cache using the options. Please, can someone offer me some help. It's a 900P and it's a Sprint device. I just got back from a funeral a little bit ago so I'd love to get this thing working finally, I've been working on it all night.
Can you check the model number under the battery?
I think Sm-g900m is the South America version, and Sm-g900p should be the North America sprint version.

Hmm, I have no idea why it won't boot properly. This "stuck on bootlogo" seems to be a common problem on todays samsung models.
Have you tried factory reset in recovery after flash?
Only other thing I can think of is if some other partition got messed up during the software update.
Maybe can be fixed with a 4-file "repair firmware" with BL/AP/CP/CSC-parts. I'll see if I can find one.

I've heard of that before but I've never really looked into it much. Do you by any chance have a Skype or a Discord link I could join so I could talk to you more direct?

Sorry, I don't. Maybe it's better if you ask for more help in S5 forum on how to go on with this, as I don't own this device myself. I will probably find that thread if you do, and be able to help futher if needed
Otherwise there's plenty of tutorials on how to flash 4-files with odin.
I did find one and uploaded it to mega in case you want to grab it. G900PVPS3CQB3_CSC_SPT_CL10090296_QB12576102_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.zip
I've used those kind of firmwares on various devices for all kind of problems where official firmware wasn't enough to fix it, and it always worked without problems.

Yes exactly. This is what you'll find once it's unzipped.

First make sure your battery is well charged (we don't want it to die during flash)
Just put the files in their boxes in odin, connect your phone in download mode and flash.
Hopefully it will now boot past that bootlogo. If not...there must be some hardware problem.

Well, it looks like Odin is just sitting at the "aboot.mbn" part of the flashing process :L thoughts?

It just sits there? No errors? Maybe you should try a different version of odin, like Odin 3.09
You could also try another usb port and/or different cable. Those are the most common problems when flash won't start.

Yeah you can do that too. Another thing you've reminded me of now when talking about smart switch...Go to your task manager on pc and make sure that no smart switch or kies is running in background before open odin. It may interfere with odin connection.
I remember it was a common problem with kies/odin.

I'll try that, I'm still so confused by this. I flash it, and then ODIN says "RESET" in blue, it resets the device and it hangs at the Sprint logo..

Yeah, it's a mystery. If it flash and pass without errors it should work. Can't figure out why it doesn't

Found my Galaxy Tab 2 - doesn't boot!

I haven't used my Tab 2 (P5110) in a long time. I rely on my phone quite a bit instead.
Recently, I've been doing a bit of IoT stuff and though the Tab would make an excellent remote controller.
When I boot it, it shows the Samsung logo and goes no further.
Is there anything I can do to recover it, please?
I can get it into Odin mode, but I can't remember what can be done from there.
Can someone just steer me to a refresher, please?
Use recovery and do factory reset

With apologies, if I knew what "use recovery" meant, I probably would have already done it.
Can you help, please?

I've downloaded twrp-2.8.5.0-p5110.tar.
The guide on the TWRP download site says I should install Odin and look for the "PDA tab or button". I have Odin 3.14.1 and the buttons are BL, AP, CP, CSC and USERDATA.
Elsewhere, here, I'm told to use AP. Is AP the correct / safe option?
Thanks.

Yes you can use AP, but why are you using too old recovery?.
New Version of TWRP is available and you should use that one

It's the most recent one I could find as a .tar file. The more recent ones seem to be .img.
Download TWRP for p5110
Download TWRP Open Recovery for p5110

Thanks.

Interesting. First try the progress bar went to about 80% and I thought it was working. Then it failed.
Second try ... waited for ages then failed outright.
Any other thoughts, please?

Interesting.
I have a couple of suggestions
1) Try to place the tar file in a folder without any spaces in the name in it and try to flash it again
2) Try to download the latest TWRP tar file from here https://dl.twrp.me/espressowifi/ and flash it with Odin 3.14.1
If none of this work, then I have no idea
