Lollipop upgrade is rolled out just for USA T-Mobile users ( N915TUVU1ANK3 and N915TUVU1ANJL). I have a N915T (T-Mobile) but base band is different from USA users ( it's Trinidad and Tobago N915TUBU1AOA2). I'm trying to upgrade to lollipop by downloading the firmware which is released for USA and Odin. I also wan to root the Lolli after that.
General Questions regarding Odin :
Q1: If I upgrade 4.4.4 to 5.0.1 by Odin successfully, what will I lost ? Aps, Aps settings, Internal SD Data, contacts ....
Q2: if it's unsuccessful can I do a reset factory to turn back to my previous Android ?
My phone:
I installed: play.google<>.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo&hl=en
>> and found out that my phone is
Basdband: N915TUBU1AOA2
Original CSC: TMB
Firmware CSC: TTT
Active CSC: TMB/TTT
CSC ver: N915TUUB1AOA2
TTT= Trinidad and Tobago T-Mobile
....
Q3: Now can I use Odin and TMB BOD7 flash to go to lollipop ?

Hi,
1. You'll lost all your data on internal storage, applications installed, and configurations that you have done. So do backup before upgrading with ODIN.
2. You can't. Since the phone will brick. Flash the correct firmware again should work.
3. You shouldn't. The best way is to wait for the update roll up for your TTT Note Edge (because USA T-Mobile is different than TTT). Since some of the devices are carrier/bootloader locked.
Sorry, too many edits.

Dear All,
I am heavily confused about S6 OTA firmware update thing even in manual flashing Odin. I have confusion in below 4 areas. I would appreciate if somebody from this community speak up with Samsung firmware update terminology. I think like me there are also few who are confused samsung's OTA, AP, CP, CSC, PDA, BL things.
I am sorry for long description thanks for your time.
1st, I wanted to know what is device CSC through *#1234# and found below. But looking at below CSC I failed to find out CSC which is appearing as CSC:G620FOLB1AODR.
AP: G920FXXU1AOE3
CP: G920FXXU1AOE3
CSC: G620FOLB1AODR
2nd, I went to Phone INFO apps. But here CSC is showing as "XME". But XME is no where written if I check through *#1234#.
3rd, I visited to sammobile to find out appropriate 5.1.1 firmware and lost here actually. Here for XME (Malaysia) 5.1.1 is available but not available via phone software update.
4th, while I tried update via Smart Switch, it says firmware update is available. I installed immediately but that is still 5.0.2. Again I tried but not showing any update where as I can see updates are available in sammobile.
For you it is best to download 5.1.1 manually Odin flash it and factory reset the phone once to rectify any of CSC errors in future updates (factory reset is mandatory to fix CSC if your phone is not rooted)

A factory reset is mandatory after any sort of firmware update on ANY device!
If you just upgrade a firmware and keep on as usual you should expect errors.
Dear All,
I am not getting 5.1.1 firmware update for my Galaxy S6. After getting this phone, I only get one one update via smart switch. But that time update was not showing in phone OTA. But in smart switch update was available.
Now I am seeing in sammobile, 5.1.1 is available for couple of regions. But I am not getting 5.1.1 update via phone software update or via smart switch.
So, can somebody please let me know which 5.1.1 FW will be appropriate for my device?
According to Phone INFO apps,
My phone details are:
Product code: SM-G920FZDAXME
Original CSC: XME
Bootloader: G920FXXU1AOE3
Baseband: G920FXXU1AOE3
PDA: G920FXXU1AOE3
CSC: G920FOLB1AODR

its easier than you think.
- change csc via dialer. if this doesnt work root your device via PingPong and change csc via root.
- look a country that 5.1.1 has arrived.
THE END.
Why do i need CSC where i have same CSC 5.1.1 firmware.....
Here you go stock 5.1.1 Malaysian ROM (XME). Flash via odin.

Finally OTA available last day. 660MB update. It's now 5.1.1

Dear readers,
I want to have voLTE working on my SM-G920F.
I live in the netherlands (PHN) and my carrier supports volTE , in fact I have it working with android 6.0.1.
Is it possible to flash to BTU (UK, 7.0.1) with the CSC package from the PHN (6.0.1) or will this cause a (soft) brick?
So I would flash the following with ODIN:
BL: BL_G920FXXU5DQA7_CL8821257_QB12271362_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CP: CP_G920FXXU5DPL3_CL8821257_QB11771442_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
AP: AP_G920FXXU5DQA7_CL8821257_QB12271362_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CSC: MODEM_G920FXXU5DPLD_CL2100313_QB_5298122_SIGNED.tar.md5 - (This one is extracted from the PHN firmware package)
Thank you in advance,
Hi,
You can try flashing the BTW package first without any modification, if the feature you want stops working, just flash your region CSC/Modem package afterwards and it should work again.
If the phone have a soft brick (which it shouldn't, it should work just fine), then you can attempt a downgrade or just flashing back the BTU CSC/modem and wait for your region to have Android Nougat.
All the best,
~Lord

Hi all, I just recieved my phone and it works fine, problem, I am a Tmobile subscriber and the phone is a SM-G930A Ver. 6.01 marshmallow. I can't update OTA and some other issues. I want to flash to Tmobile and have downloaded these files as well as Odin, phone in developer options correct, etc. Will this work? I am also concerned about KNOX, should I be? Thanks in advance, a newbie.

KNOX only trips when you flash custom firmware, so if you've got the stock firmware files it shouldn't trip KNOX, just make sure you got them from a reliable source (simfirmtool, sammobile, updato etc)
You should have 4 or 5 files to flash with Odin, AP, CP, BL and CSC (or HOME_CSC, which doesn't wipe data, CSC does, choose one)
You can't flash an older Android version on Snapdragon devices but you can sidegrade or upgrade, but since you're flashing from 6 to 7 it shouldn't be an issue.
