Thinnest Case That Protects Camera? - Galaxy S6 Accessories

Whats the thinnest case that also raises the phone so the camera doesn't scratch on the table?

I have a few cases so far. The one that best fits you Ur criteria so far is the Spigen Neo Hybrid. The back cover is a tiny bit thicker than the protrusion of the camera.

Hello,
I pre-ordered this case, it will protect your phone and the camera from high drops. The case is very thin and as light as a few pieces of paper..

orzly flexi slim is the slimmest case i've seen. it's a tpu case that wraps the entire back and the sides, has perfect cutouts for all speakers and ports. loving it so far

Try out the stock Samsung back cover. It only protects the edges and the camera (barely) its as minimal as it gets

According to their pictures and their claims, it does. Their iPhone version does, and the shape of the bumper confirms that for S6. Not worried.
That's the best brand when it comes to protection/slimness, it's easy to make a sim case for 4$, it's less easy to make it protective... that case for 0.99 will not even protect your phone from a 5 feet drop I presume..

I have it for my iPhone and its thinner than most cases. According to their pictures it will be the same for the S6. It adds around a quarter of a centimeter (0.1 inch?) around the phone, which is pretty thin. I did not even notice it anymore after a few hours.

Still clicky, but without a case still feels best.

Verus flexible clear case is awesomely thin and raises the camera up enough that it keeps it off the table.

What S6 cases is everyone using?

I'm using a vintage stylish back cover along a SGP tempered glass(9H) for the screen protection,it's good so far,for I'm not get used to the flip cover or wallet cover,it's not convenient as the brief cover as coming calls&messages, which makes it wired and also no good for video watching and daily usage. Besides, the case also with double wallet slot on the back for credit cards etc.,and two slots is enough. The slim design also enjoy another 10 scores, fine match the S6's thickness without make your device a clumsy one.

Is it genuine leather case? Doest it protect the camer (i.e. have a lip near camera or just thicker than the camera)? Is it soft enough inside or is it plastic inside?
I think I could go for it if there were no card holders)
Edit: found it cheaper on ebay. I think I'll order one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Rea...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item20fa6c88e2

Spiegen neo-hybrid here. Minimal bulk, great grip and feel with metal buttons. I myself feel that screen protectors are unnecessary anymore, as todays gorrila glass does well enough to protect from scratches. A screen protector isn't going to stop a drop-shatter anyways. The neo is the best looking and thinnest of the 5 cases I have, all while providing two-piece drop protection.

I have the same case now. It's ok but it makes my s6 to be the size of my Oneplus One want something less bulkier. As for the screen protectors, I might disagree - tempered glasses save your phone glass from shattering almost always.

I respect your view on tempered glass, I have heard a lot of good things about it. Unfortunately for me, it didnt work so well the one time I needed it to. As far as cases go, the hybrid is about as thin as a current generation (protective) case could be. If you want any thinner, why would you use a case at all?

That's an excellent question, sir!
Firstly, I beleive it will still save the back glass from shattering if I drop my phone (and I know I will drop it some day, always happens to me when after the honey moon I become more and more careless with the new toy).
Secondly, I afraid to much for the camera lens, which just waaaay too protruding to be safe, imo and also very weak according too AndroidAuthority review. (rly samsung? for 700 bucks your could not go for saphire glass on the protruding camera lens?)
My concerns with the camera lens are the same as yours, but we can't change the design of the S6. I don't think sapphire lense would help too much either. More costly, interferes with clarity, and still breaks.
I'm using the UAG case. Love this thing. Very very slim and provides the best protection for my phone out of all the cases I've owned. UAG cases might be on the top end of costs ($30-35) but it is built to last
I used a Spigen neo hybrid, but I ended up with a UAG as well
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TRG8KGO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This leather sleeve which fits perfectly. Pretty tight actually, so no risk of your phone falling out I guess. Great quality leather and finishing I must say, they're all handmade. Price is a bit steep but you do get what you pay for and honestly, if you spend this amount of money on a phone you might as well spend some money on protecting it.
I thought about buying on of those Spigen cases which look slick, but then I thought; Samsung finally made a phone with a finish worth looking at and holding in your hand when using it, why hide that in a case?

I just bought this case and do like it, but all of my Mediabridge microUSB cables don't fit in the opening on the bottom. Do you happen to know of any good high rated cables that fit well? Was debating getting a different case because of it that's possibly less bulky too.

Review Sikai 3d tempered glass

I just received Sikai 3d tempered glass. I order 19.05. and i received today (31.05.-to Croatia (EU)). Glass fit perfect and stick on all screen. None issue. I have before nillkin temp.glass and i will leave this. Package was perfect. Cuts on glass are perfect. All sensors work like it should work. Touch work as normal, and has no effect on the screen (image) quality of the screen. Highly recomended. I use it with Orzly Onyx case and fit perefct.
Good work Sikai

It has trouble with the Spigen case as it is 'slight;y' too tight a fit and lifts at the edges. I have been corresponding with Sikai about it and they are at present reworking the design to make it very slightly smaller (just a mm or so) - this means it should then be fine with all cases. They are going to send me one when it is tested at their end. Plus they are improving on the 'glue' that sticks it around the edges and on the curved section.

Non metal bumper

Hi,
I'm searching for a non-metal bumper, but I want it to be as thick as possible. My goal is to protect the camera glass, I do not want it to make contact with the surface I put it on. Is there such a bumper? Thanks!

I'm afraid not. This one was my first choice, but one of the reviewers says that you can feel the camera glass hit the surface you put the phone on.
I know you said bumper and not case. but I got this Spigen Neo-Hybrid case for the same reason, and it's pretty small and does a nice job of keeping both the screen and the camera glass away from whatever surface you place the phone on.
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Flexible-Protection-Reinforced-Samsung/dp/B00MAWRB44
I also vote for the spigen neo, I have the metal version but the plastic is the exact same, and I can confirm the camera does not touch the surface. It's the only case i've ever used for more than a couple months. i've had both the phone and case since new.
I'm using the Verus Iron Shield case with a Spigen metal stick on kickstand attached. The Verus case protects front screen nicely and the Spigen kickstand, when mounted in the center, makes it impossible for camera lens to make contact on a flat surface.

Why does no one really make a real bumper? I used one on my glass nexus 4 for two years.....it survived a drop from the second story at the gym. The only bumper I've seen for the honor 8 is metal....I'm looking for plastic/rubber

I was looking for a non-metal bumper case a while back with zero luck as well. I think they just don't exist for some reason.
i cut my clear case back off....it's a work in progress right now, but i've dropped it a couple of times and the screen/back/phone have all survived. I really just need to clean up the lines and maybe add some double sided tape to the sides so that it stays on better.
Did somebody find a bumper for Honor 8? I am finding only these Luphy metal bumpers. RhinoShield CrashGuard Bumper is awesome but they do not sell one for honor 8.

just buy a cheap silicone case then cut the back part of it. thats what I did with my phone (not honor 8), a bit ugly because I cut with scissors but as long as it serves its purpose for me it's good enough.

I got my metal case today and true enough, it blocks the signal the moment I put the phone in. 4G dropped to 3G in less than 10 seconds. The case did have holes on the sides which exposes the antenna line but that doesn't help at all.

how thick is the back in mm or in? do you think you could fit a metal plate between the TPU and the hard polycarbonate to make it work with a magentic mount?
Sucks than my nylon bumper is to thick and slides from the magnetic mount
Also if you have a scale could you tell me how many grams does it weight and also how is the raisivity on the edges for when putting the phone face down or in case of a drop?

I ended up ordering this one too, that otterbox was just too thick for me. Ebay has a 20% off sale going on now and you can find nylon cases marked up to $30 but it ends up having free shipping and it's in stock. I might grab one of those after seeing the replacement for a back panel was only $19.20 + labor.
Just received mine. So far ok. I like the added weight it gives. Wish the front lip was a little higher and the back is a bit slippery. Last one saved my OPO for 3 years though! And yes the back camera cutout looks like a ****. Thank you previous poster for ruining that

$2.84 Free Shipping. By far the best value for the money. Very heavy duty and fits like a glove. I bought 3 different colors and could not be happier.
Too many people around here think they have to spend big money to get good cases. Not true.
Those cases aren't that good, I bought one for my old phones and the first drop made it shatter! It was only a drop of concrete when it fell out of my pocket.

Yes! Used it on my drive this morning. Perfect to hide the plate and not scratch anything (other than maybe the inside of the case).
I like this case so far. Seems like good protection and not too thick, decent buttons. The only thing I don't like is it's hard to slide the slider toggle.
Yeah I have to dig in with my nails and I'm afraid to scratch the paint of the phone.
