Hey guys, Sorry if this isn't allowed but i wasn't sure where to ask. I'm currently a student going into Computer Science so i want a cheap phone i can mess around with (100gbp) that's still a fairly decent phone. I had a Xperia e3 which i was very impressed with for the price but I've been told they're horrible when it comes to customizing and they don't tend to allow the bootloader to be unlocked. So if anyone knows a similar spec/better phone for around the same price that would be amazing

Hey, so I currently have the Xperia X10... and it's starting to die on me.
Now, looking at the current market... any phone better than the x10 (unlocked) is around $300+.
I can only purchase unlocked, since I don't want those annoying data plans.
However... I've been thinking about downgrading and getting an Xperia X1.
That was my dream phone before I foolishly sold it.
Does anyone know how well android runs on it? And do you think it's worth getting that for $170?

Since it's coming from China, I'm afraid it might not be genuine.
My primary reason for choosing this phone is for it's aesthetic appeal.

XDA Assist is not a technical help-desk, we don't sit here and solve your problem, we point you to the right direction. I can't seem to find any thread on XDA that answers your specific question. I'd suggest you do a bit of research and find what phone suits your needs, in this day and age almost every high end phone is good.

so recently my One M8 had to be repaired and I was stuck for days with an unbelievably slow xperia active from a friend. I thought, well if any day I could need a replacement phone, say for parties of just when I don't want to take the M8, what would I get? I would like it to be around iphone-4-size and easy to unlock and flash with cyanogenmod resp. still updated with new cyanogenmod versions. It should just run somewhat fluently and have a bit internal storage for the most important apps. What would you recommend?
First thing that came to my mind was a used galaxy s2. still a bit too expensive for my needs.

hi guys i am not a techie here i am just an ordinary guy . m lil bit confuse in buying a new android smartphone with in range of 8000rs i need 2GB RAM Camera on both side long lasting battery 4.5/5.00 display most phone just heat-up in couple of minutes while playing games or surfing net most phone hangs or become laggy i need really a very good phone as i am going nuts changing phones please help with your precious advice thank you
