[Completed] Need help finding the appropriate phone/place to ask for a project. - XDA Assist

I will throw my requirements here and hope you guys can point me in the right area to repost.
Working on a project that requires a phone with a custom ROM.
I need to be able to purchase a bunch of these phones new and be under ~$70 dollars.
Easy to compile my own rom to load on them.
Needs to be able to scan highres QR easily.
Have a display that can show highres QR easily.
any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi,
Could you maybe be a bit more clear here? If you are looking to buy phones here on XDA, that is not permitted. Please refer to Swappa for buying devices.
If you want advice on what devices, I think this would be the best place to ask....

Good luck!

Yeah just looking for suggestions on phone, not to buy here. Thanks!

[Completed] Android Demo

Hi guys,
i'm looking for a showcase demo to use on android tablets (lenovo, HP, Samsung,...)
just as a showcase so they don't just sit there doing nothing
It is for use in a small IT shop.
kind regards Karel
Hi,
ROMS on XDA are generally made to function fully. You would need to set it up and disable what you think you should yourself.
Since its for multiple devices, I suggest you ask further questions here...

[Completed] Need to Find Cellular (Voice) & Data Tablets

I've been trying to find a 10 inch (or so) Tablet, or Phablet, that has cell and data capabilities. Also, it seems that the cell companies, T-Mo, Att, etc.,
don't have a plan or will even provision one. I've seen a few on youtube and for sale at eBay and Amazon, but those are International units
and don't have 4g/LTE, and are pretty low spec.
I thought the Samsung Tab models came that way, but they don't. Is there a list or a thread that would help me?
Hi,
This thread is for just such inquiries...

That thread is 4 posts and 2 years old. It appears to be for those trying to decide what to buy, I know what I want, I just can't find it or any information on them.
Thanks anyways.
That thread has over 10000 posts and is very current and active. And it's a great place to ask for what you are looking for.
Otherwise, perhaps a Google search? There's hundreds of devices on XDA... You can look through the sections, but I'm sure you will get suggested devices quicker in the thread I linked. ?
My apologies. I just clicked it again, and you're correct. I don't know why it only loaded 4 posts the last time. But, I do apologize.

Don't sweat it! And I'm sure you'll find help there. Tho, where to buy may be tricky... As every region is different.

[Completed] [Q] what is this site

i came by this site cheapunlockedmobilephones.com
i was shoked by its sooo sheap prices...does any body know abut it?
why it is so cheap?
and if it is safe to buy from it??
Hi,
Sim unlocking for most Android devices is very inexpensive usually.... I've seen just a few dollars, up to about 30 max.
As far as trusting the site.... You could ask in this section if anyone has used it, or about trusted alternatives...

[Completed] Best GSM phone for low price

I have decided that I am going to make a move to use Straight Talk. Although supposedly there is a Nexus 6 (with a broken screen) available, I started looking at some of the Chinese offering. I would like to find a gsm phone (with AT&T radio and LTE if possible) that offers best features and not cost me the price of a Samsung 6 or Iphone 6. I would like to find something the is 6" and also able to use Android 5. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
Hi there,
The best way to get opinions on this would be to ask in this thread:

Good luck
