[Completed] [Q] Stuck with cwm recovery - XDA Assist

I tried flashing my Xperia SL with cm 12. Unfortunately after installing cwm recovery, i forgot to back up the stock rom and factory reseted the whole device cleaning everything on the sd card. Now my phone is left without a rom and when i connect it to the pc, It is not being detected. When i switch on the phone it goes to cwm recovery and that's it. Every file i click on it says not found, and i tried mounting the usb as well. Same story. File cannot be found. What should i do now? I can't access anything on my phone. Is it possible to revert back to the stock rom i.e, Android 4.1.2? Please help.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. See if this helps, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2038445

Sony Xperia J (ST26i) possibly bricked. Urgent help needed.

Hi,
I had been trying to fix the touchscreen calibration problem on my sister's Xperia J (TIM branded) by flashing another ROM/Firmware.
I flashed "st26i_11.2.A.0.31 Kernel By [email protected]_Central Europe.ftf" using flashtool by mistake before I installed Clockworkmod itself. I copied the Darkmoon AVD ROM (Ref : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2309415) to the external card . I booted into Clockworkmod and took a backup of the stock ROM, then as I checked to see if I could see the ROM in the "install zip from sdcard" option, I could not find it since it was reading the internal storage instead of the external sd card. Then I rebooted the phone to check if I could transfer the ROM to internal storage but now I am unable to boot up the phone and nothing happens. The screen remains blank (though the backlight is visible).
I need urgent help to fix this. Please help.
PS : Bootloader unlocked.
PPS : Probably wrong thread. Mods please move if needed

You got bootloop, simply there is no rom to boot, what is more kernels with CWM are from CM which is not compatible with stock rom. Try to flash 11.2.A.0.31.ftf clean using flashtool, there might be need to remove battery to avoid booting and again get bootloop.
P.S I did even worse thing when I starting to play with android (I've flashed kernel from Arc S)
I feel dumb. But I flashed the kernel.sin from http://www.4shared.com/folder/25Mb7Dws/Xperia_J.html and it booted normally.
i switch off my phone it takes longer time to switch off so i suddenly remove my battery and reinsert it and after i power on it so simply sony logo what can i do for that

Have you got an unlocked bootloader with a custom kernel with CWM embedded into it?
If not it is possible that CWM was erased from your system partition for some reason. Have you tried reinstalling CWM onto your device?

Forgot to mention that, bootloader is still locked. Is there a chance for cwm to get erased from the system? ?? Can i have cwm permanent by getting bootloader unlocked? ?
I will try reinstalling cwm as you had mentioned. Right now, i am having some difficulties installing a cwm because recently i changed my os to ubuntu and struggling with it
Thanks

It is unlikely it would have, however it is possible. If you unlock your bootloader (if it is possible) you can install a custom kernel like vengeance what has CWM embedded in it meaning you will never lose it.
Good luck on reinstalling CWM.

I did encrypted the system along with the SD card. it says to do a factory reset but does not help. I did the same with my wife phone but her phone is working fine. Pleas help how can I get my phone back. If i try to flash any roms I get please update binary in philz.. I have tried to flash the stock rom and use kies factory recovery.
Hi,
Here is a guide on flashing stock. If you have any questions you can ask there too...

Also, Kies must not be running for Odin to work properly. Check in your PC's task manager and kill any kies processes that are running before starting Odin.
Good luck!

S3 i9305 ROM installation fail

Hey everyone
So yesterday I tried to install the new ( nameless rom) to my s3 i9305, everything was working perfect until I came to the "wipe to install a new rom" so I did that, when I tried to go into my folder "download" to install the rom there was nothing every thing was gone, every file. So now I'm stock with a s3 that can't boot and are stuck on the boot logo. The only thing it can do is going into recovery mode and download mode. Please help if u know how to solve this problem
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately you've chosen the wrong wipe option in CWM, the option you chose wipes the storage as well (as you now know). You should be able to transfer a ROM zip to your phone if you connect it to your PC.

[Completed] Soft bricked my phone while Porting new ROM.

Okay... So i'm using my dad's old Canvas Knight which is a mtk 6592 device. It had many viruses and I tried factory resetting it but didn't do any good. So here's what i did next. There were no good custom ROM's for my device(or any at all) so I looked for porting some other ROM. I found this website mtkroms dot com and saw many users were using this guys guide to install other custom ROMs. I made a port for myself for this rom :-Lollifox V6 for mt6592 . At first I was unable to install it because of a status 6 error but I got around it googling stuff. Now when the ROM Successfully flashed and after rebooting my phone its stuck at the bootlogo. If I press the power button it just reboots and gets stuck at the logo again. Next I opened CWM again and tried to usb mount my device so I could install the stockrom but again it gave an error(something like unable to load ums file or something). same happened when i tried to mount sd card. I also made a mtk Droid tools backup for it. I tried to install it using sp flash tools, it started successfully but the whole process just took about a 5 seconds. rebooted my phone again, only now the old boot logo was back and the phone was stuck again at the boot screen. PLZ help....
PS:- I Backed up almost everything before the whole process also I can access my internal sd card if choose the install from internal sd card option in CWM.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. It's very common when trying to port a rom to get into a bootloop if the port has some errors in it. What you most likely need to do is either restore your nandroid in your custom recovery, if you have one, or return your device to stock and start over. There isn't a forum for your device on XDA but I did find this where others with your device may baa able to help you, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2623192

Hey!!
Thanks for replying. So I tried to restore my nandroid in CWM but it gives an error saying "E: Can't mount /sdcard". As I mentioned it earlier I tried to restore my StockRom using SP flash tools but the whole process took 5 seconds to complete. To no surprise It was stuck again at the bootscreen. The only diffrence was that this time the old bootlogo was back(the stock one).
