Been a fan of Rhino Shield, Finally they made their impact resistant bumper for the S6.
I think this will be the best bumper bumper around for S6. Thin and strong.

Glad to see Rhino Shield showing the S6 love. I wanted this bumper for my N6 but there weren't enough pre-orders so they canceled it.
Shame for the N6,
Not the case for S6 though, they made the S6 and had done 4meter drop test with S6 bumper. So I would presume they made the tooling for it.
Well I like rhino shield so I made sure to pre-order..
and..
Is the Nexus6 gonna come in the end? anyone asked them recently?

Damn this looks sick. Im about to hop on the pre order wagon.
I'm curious to know if it lifts up enough so if you set the phone down it doesn't rest on the camera. I'm looking to replace my Iron Shield so this looks like a nice replacement!

Out of curiosity, why are you looking to replace the Iron Shield? I've been looking at the Rhino Shield Crash Guard Bumper and Verus Iron Bumper as possible cases for the S6 (along with Zagg's Orbit Bumper), and am wondering if the Rhino Shield may have a leg up.

Sorry for some reason I'm not getting email replies. I'm replacing the IS because the metal frame was killing my GPS signal. It wasn't bad on my cell signal but I couldn't even use navigation features with it. It's also VERY tight around the phone, it ended up cracking when I removed it.

How is the extra bulk does the lip make it awkward? Buttons feel good to press? I feel like the bumper isn't quite as svelte as they advertise it. But it seems like a fair compromise for all the protection
There really isn't any noticeable bulk. Buttons feel good to press, not overly hard to press but not as easy as with no case. It's a good medium. This is a great alternative to having a case without the case, if that makes any sense.
Here is a really good YouTube vid by Erica Griffin https://youtu.be/9DvhljsZY88
Ive decided to order one! il let you guys know how it is once it arrives!
The bumper came today! Its very similar in size to the Spigen neo hybrid case

+Dave Ranucci We've actually got some bumpers (ring-like cases that wrap the side but not the back) coming as accessories for Nexus 4, if that's how you roll.
On the back, there is indeed a small raised ridge, which should prevent scratches if not breaks.

Keep in mind this Nexus 4 doesn't have a ridiculous steel frame. Also the back is Gorilla Glass 2.

Any pictures of what the bands look like?
God I love bumbers on my phones.
cool! I can't wait to see what they look like.. maybe multiple colors?!
As long as they don't add to much bulk around the edges I'll get one. Unless the design on the back is more ostentatious in person, in which case I'll get a case that covers it.
Possible bumper case?
Look at the purple ring like bumper case in the pictures:

I like the way its snug fit with the phone.

I definitively want to get a bumper because I love OEM accessories and this phone looks too good to put in a case.
I've never owned bumpers. Do they really protect devices well? As far as I can tell, they leave the front and the back of devices vulnerable to scratches and breaks. But if I'm wrong, please correct me.

They protect the sides and corners and will absorb shock (although not too well) It is a minimalist case, if you are worried about scratches you could invest in front and back screen protectors or have faith in Corning's Gorilla Glass 2.
I think the combination of a screen protector and a bumper will be enough for all but the most paranoid, Gorilla Glass is able to stand up to a lot of punishment.
Bumpers are awesome!
It doesn't add much bulk and protects the device well.

The plastic is very very very smooth like butter, but has friction between hard surfaces..so if you stick the phone in your hand with the case on itll slide if you move your hand back & forth..the edge of the case barely covers the phones curved glass, Im guessing to put it in and tale it out, has no play, and just seems like a good ol' hardcase
The more i handle it,the plastic should get grippier, ill update on that
No snap, crackle, pop noises from this case, put it on and done
+1 to a simple case, as my first case for the phone its clean&simple
Looks like the sides come up farther than on the ringke case. But looks good otherwise.

...no,
Add another thumbs up to the Diztronic. My first case from them I, that I decided to get based on comments here. So far the best case I've seen for the Nexus 4 (at least until a decent 2-component case like the Otterbox Commuter etc. comes along).
Nexus 4 Diztronic Hardshell Case Review
$9.99- Amazon Link
$9.99- Diztronic Link
Design
5/5
First of all, this case is EXTREMELY thin. It's only 1mm thin, making it 25% thinner than the original TPU case. The back has a non glossy Diztronic logo on it and a slot cut open for the camera and speakers. It is a bit slippery, but won't catch lint on it or attract finger prints. Unlike other shell cases, this one isn't hard to take in and out. However, you definitely want to take it out periodically to make sure debris doesn't get caught in it and scratch the case. The edges of the case just barely go over the screen making a bit of a "lip". The lip is barely there and you may be able to fit a screen protector on it. The buttons are left exposed on the case making pressing the power button and volume rockers very easy.
Protection
4/5
This case does a decent job at protecting the phone while still keeping a thin profile. The top and bottom of the case are left somewhat vulnerable, yet I understand how it would be tough to cover that part while making the case a "hardshell". Keep in mind this case is only 1mm thick, so I'm grading the protection based on the case's target audience.
Final Verdict
4.5/5
This may be the thinnest case to ever hit the market. At $9.95 you get a lot of bang for your buck; this is a high quality case made with premium materials. You can tell Diztronic took the time to make sure they got everything right. This case is so thin you won't even notice it while still giving you some protection.
Def the best case so far, for the money

Updated 28th of may 2013
So I've just received my casemate in the post and first impressions was that the box was beautiful

}
Just upon opening the box i realised how beautiful it actually is.
The carbon fibre on the back is 100% real carbon fibre.
The black plastic around the sides is a real bad fingerprint magnet. As you can see
And at the bottom of the back piece is a brushed aluminium plate with the casemate logo and bevelled edges around the back speaker but just as alot of cases the case is muffled the sound coming from the speaker when its on a flat surface but its not as bad as other cases I reviewed
What i only found out upon receiving the case that its a two piece case which is a big plus for me and it looks like theres enough of a gap between the screen and case to allow a glass screen protector.
The silver plastic buttons on the upper part of the case are really easy to press
The inside of the back piece is a nice rubbery feeling which would provide a small shock resistant and just protects the phone.
Over all the phone fits extremely well and that i would recommend everyone to get it. The only bad thing is that its a slippy case but that shouldn't stop you from buying it.
Heres more pictures of the phone in the case
That's looks not bad! Is it bulky?
I'm thinking of getting a d30 case though. Apparently it offers exceptional impact protection while maintaining a slim form factor.

I had 1 case ****canned it. Don't use cases now, the manufactures go through so much design to make these phones fit and be slim it is almost a shame to put a case on it. I have dropped mine at least 8 times a few little dings, I wash it daily with soap and water and have yet to have an issue..

Soap is not good on the phone my friend.
Body Glove case. Really nice grip, anti microbial, and feels very high quality. Snugs the phone tight. Also have the ZAGG glass protector and it works fine with it.
Spigen Tough Armor Case - Gunmetal
This case provide good protection and is very compact. I dropped my phone once and it seemed to provide very good protection.
The buttons are easy to press and I actually like the buttons are flat along the edge of the case, so the chance to mistakenly press the buttons is less!
The cutouts are very good. There are 4 tiny bumps at the back corners that prevent the back from scratches and lift the speaker a little bit above the surface you placed on, so less damping to the speaker.
This case feels high quality made, easy to hold in the hand, and looks good.
Agreed

I actually bought this case before I even bought the phone! It just gives the phone a rugged look and feel. With the phone by itself I didn't necessarily care for the look of it and knew I wanted a case for the S5. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I even like the ridge edges it has and makes it easier to grip.
My newest spigen case in my collection.
Picked this up from a Cellaris kiosk in the mall.. Had one on my note 2 for the last year and it did an excellent job protecting my phone, so I went back and got one for my S5, I love the kick stand, but the one on my note 2 case seemed more durable than the one on my S5 cases.
They will usually mix and match colors to suit you, and I went with this combo, for the heck of it heh.
heres a link to their webpage, they have other colors at the kiosk, but you get an idea. most of the cases are cruddy, but the kiosks have otterboxes, kraken, and some other decent named cases.. this case set me back about $30.. worth it in my opinion.

cheers
I'm using the incipio teal/cyanish with grey. its kind of funny how small the phone is when I have to take it out (like 2 times now) but this thing is durable. I've dropped it and kicked it a few times and it holds up. love how it keeps my camera nice and tucked in. looks pretty cool too but it's built for abuse it seems.
These are my cases up to this moment. unfortunately, i can't use most of them since i'm using the OEM qi.

Okay, I have had this on for about a week now, and I have never been this happy with a screen protector before. I have around ten different android devices in the the house at the moment and most have glass protectors on them. I also am coming from a note 4 with the rounded edges/halo nightmare, I know what a pain they can be as well.
First, the coating on it is top notch, slick and smooth. The rounded edges roll right onto the stainless rails and make the phone feel like it was meant to have a 2d screen.
It DOES cover the front cams which some day will diminish quality. I didn't notice a change, nor do I take QUALITY photos with the front cam.
There is no sharp edges and it isn't catching on clothes or even finger swipes. The fit on mine is perfect.
The wings they provide really do aid in the install. I lined up one side and laid her down smooth.
Two thumbs up from this guy.

I was thinking of getting the GLAS.tR SLIM and the Slim Armor case. Some, and only some, of the reviews on Amazon have said that there was chipping and scratches on the GLAS.tR SLIM after a week. Did you get it from Amazon or Spigen? And what have your results been so far? Thanks.
I was a little on the fence about getting one, but I'd taken a look at some of the reviews on it, and with it being on sale at Amazon for only $10, I decided to give it a go.
I have to agree with OP across the board. Seems very good so far

Got mine from Amazon, looks as good as the day I put it on. I am careful though.
What some folks don't understand is that you can can take a screw driver to these screens and protectors and not get a scratch. But all it takes is one tiny grain of sand and it's ruined.
Wish we all could stop blaming the glass.
Mine is placed perfect, I have no snags or chips. Uag case helps with that too.
Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
Mine had easy clean layer fading problem even the second day after installation.
Probably Spigen needs to have better QC.
So a little follow up. I have SOMEHOW taken a chip put of the side edge of this screen protector. I can honestly tell you that it had to have happened very easily. I'm pretty easy on my devices, so this had to have happened without much effort. I don't see any marks on the device anywhere at all. It hasn't spidered, so I'll keep it on for the time being
Edit.....
I won't be buying another one, even at $10
I've used Spigen Glas.Tr Nano/Slim way back when they were $34.99 and never had a problem with Spigen glass until the $9.99 V10 one. I got a small crack in mine after being on the phone for 2 days.
I just installed the IntelliArmor Glass HD and I like it a little better then the Spigen. It's a hair shorter on all sides then the spigen but the oleophobic coating is way better.
The only downside is it does not have the "Tabs" like the Spigen for install. Also, it's down the $8.99 on Amazon.
