Not sure what I've done, but I can no longer download apps through Play Store over mobile data. Wifi works fine.
My mobile data is as everything else works.
I can access Play Store and browse through the apps, but when I go to download it, it just says "Downloading..." and stays there.
Any ideas?
Tried clearing Data and Cache in settings?
I'm a doofus. In a bid to get the best out of my battery life, I restricted background data on a lot of apps, including download manager which caused the problem.
All working fine now.

Hi all,
I've been having problems with the Google Play Store (formerly Android Market) where the My Apps page does not load (constant No connection message with the Retry button) when trying to access it over a 3G connection.
My 3G connectivity is very good, strong signal, web browsing and speed test are all ok.
The Play Store will load ok on the main landing page and I can search Play store ok. I can also go to my apps and slide across to the All tab on My Apps but the Installed tab just sits there and eventually times out. Note: Everything works perfectly on a WIFI connection.
I've tried Market Enabler and also the multitude of other fixes for general Market errors without success.
Please someone help. I'm rooted, S-OFF, Stock 3.32.401 firmware, Android Revolution 6.6.2 XE rom. I've superwiped and started again from scratch with the ROM and still the same issue.
Any suggestions welcome.

With "multitude of other fixes" we don't know what you have tested or tried so far
Have you cleared Play Store cache or removed your play store account and added it back in?
Hi talitainment. I've cleared Play Store cache, then cleared data on Google Services Framework, rebooted (cold boot). No joy.
Tried Superwipe and fresh clean ROM install, configured basics for setting up phone on first boot, reboot, then entered market and still the same issue.
I can get into the Play Store and browse, search, download etc, but if I try to go to My Apps I get the error (but only ion a 3G connection). On WIFI all is fine, no issues at all.
It's more frustrating than anything else and previously on ExtremeSensation Prime5 ROM all was fine.
Try to fix permitions in recovery. =) This should solve the problem.
Fix permissions completed without any issues. Reboot. Enter Play Store, go to My Apps and Loading.............. then..... yep, nothing.
No connection message and a retry button after about 2 minutes waiting. Very odd.
I'm tempted to restore my Prime ROM backup and maybe go back to Revolution at a later date.
If I do, I'll post back here to report if Play Store works without issues on Prime.
Might not be today as I've a busy day ahead.
I'm having the same issue on my X10. It just started the other day. Does anyone have any more ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks,
Hope this thread will help you.

Same error with me. No play store on 3g only WiFi.
Tried flashing gapps etc that comes with my ROM but no luck.
Hi,
For most Play Store errors, delete the account,reboot,then,re-install the account.
I know this has been asked before, but nothing seems to work. Google play simply refuses to download or update any apps, it says downloading, and the downloading progress bar shows in the notification panel, but the percentage does not come up and no matter how long I wait, it doesn't finish. This is on my mother's Samsung Galaxy s3 Mini, 4.2.2, and unfortunately not rooted (unfortunately meaning I feel the problem would probably be easier to fix with root, haha). It works fine on WiFi, I have even tried to "jump start" it by starting an app download with WiFi, then quickly switching to mobile. I've cleared play data, cache, uninstalled updates, stopped/cleared data for download manager, same with play services + uninstalled updates, forced my current versions of google play and play services onto her phone to ensure she would have the latest version, removed and readded her Google account, tried other apps, restarted the phone multiple times during the uninstallations and clearing data, toggled airplane mode, booted the phone without data after wiping Play data and cache and starting it FIRST with WiFi, then switching to data, hit update/install with airplane mode on to force error 923 (mainly to see if errors could still be triggered, or if the downloading bar would continue to attempt downloading), tried a different Google account, force killed download manager while a download was pending for Google play + relaunched Google play.... I've tried everything I can think of except for a factory reset, which is ridiculously stupid if that's the only solution.
Edit: Things got interesting. As a process of elimination, I used Chrome to download a random image online. Same as Google Play, the downloading bar and arrow showed up, but will not download. Seems the problem lies deeper within the download manager.... on a nonrooted android, what are my choices to fix this?
Edit (again): Finally got download manager to download things online, but google play store seems to "lock it up", meaning when I try to install on the play store, the installation never actually finishes, and afterwards download manager will no longer work online for random images and files. It's as if something is stuck.

Try the following:
Update your phone's firmware.
Update Playstore.
Try clearing cache using Recovery Mode.
Use 3rd party app.
Try updating using a specific custom ROM for your device.
If all else failed. Try Formatting.

Thanks for the tips! I'll give them a go tomorrow
I have an unstable network connection through mobile data. I need to update a huge game but the download stops around halfway and when I try to redownload, it resets back to 0%. Is it really how play store works? Is there a workaround aside from basic trobuleshooting like clearing cache or data, without having to root?

No, Google Play Store doesn't support Resume capability..
The only way is downloading the game from 3rd party websites (Google it)
Play store is supposed to do one thing. To download apps into your phone. And it doesn't.
Whenever I try to download smt, the bar keeps going endlessly, and it says downloading, but nothing happens, like actually downloading the damn thing, or showing percentage progress, nothing. If I pull down the notification bar, it says downloading is paused. Awesome. Things I tried so far and that everybody would other wise suggest I do: Deleted cache and data for Play Store, deleted cache and data for Play services, Deleted cache for Download manager, cleared data and cache for Google Services framework, force stop play store, force stop download manager, rebooting device several times during process, deleting Google account, making new account, Factory reset, reset app preferences (which does nothing btw, I don't even know why it's there), changed from wifi to data etc. The phone is not rooted, the memory is not full.
So the quiestion is: Is it just me or Android started sucking big hairy balls since Lolipop 5.0?

Hi,
I just updated my Verizon V10 to a VZW V30 and I've encountered a problem. that I've been unable to find a solution for.
Google apps have had issues connecting to the internet either via Wi-Fi or Cellular data. the apps i'm having problems with are:
Assistant
Search
Maps
Both Chrome and GMail are fine. But the others are not.
I've tried downgrading them to previous versions, clearing data and cache data, force stopping and restarting, rebooting the phone, cycling data and wifi. all to no avail.
None of my other apps have issues and I can get to google maps via chrome, do searches via chrome, etc...
Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for this?

Try uninstalling updates for each of the apps having this issue.

I did try that (downgrading the apps to previous versions), and it had no effect.

I can assume Google Play works then and it's only related to the apps you have mentioned above ?
That's correct. Play, drive, chrome, all fine, search, YouTube and occasionally maps fail.

Date and Time are correct. Manually setting the time had no effect.
Play music is also running with no issues

There were no permissions to use wifi, in the applications setting for those apps, and I couldn't find anywhere else to set those permissions.
ALso what about 4G? They don't connect via that either.
I'm almost ready to factory reset the phone and see if that helps. But it takes a long time to set it up again.

yeah a factory reset must do it, maybe its because of the update (that happens alot) but do a backup first
I did do a factory reset and things seem back to normal now.
