Just when I was getting bored
EDIT: Flashed it, looks nice. The extra settings are centralized nicely in the Dirty Tweaks and are quite a few. Not so many or fancy as in Cyanide but they should satisfy everyone.
The dialer was changed a little, the "network event notification" has been taken out but it is enabled by default and works as a toast. This implementation sucks I mean it was better before when you could see the "waiting" message right near "dialing". The toast "call wait" shows just on top of the hangup button and it's both ugly and less functional
Ambient Display option is not in settings anywhere (at least I couldn't find it) but it can be activated by placing the Ambient Display tile in QS. Long pressing it will go to settings page for it
It has Theme Engine but some parts of the interface are not themed (like the second reboot menu). Unfortunately they don't have RRO/Layers
The boot animation is not scaled down for our screen resolution but that's not a big issue.
Overall looks like a ROM good to try, anyone needing "fresh air" might wanna try it

Does this ROM use CM hardware repo?

Thanks Rapier. i was curious and compiled it. It will be compiled on weekly basis. No need to update it more often.

Downloading, it will be a good morning coffee playtime

Sorry for double post, but i can't attach screenshot in post above.
Can't install rom, it just get stucked on screen attached. Tried several downloads, nothing. I did clean install.
Update: i can flash it if i do a dirty flash over UB ROM, and it boots. But it's very likely that I'll wake up Balrog within, sooner or later.

yup strange. But I managed to flash it clean after i have shorten filename. Than i restored UB, flashed with original name, and got stucked. So, I guess it's long filename issue. Now, cat is playing with unicorns

Can you send me your ui.zip, please.
That would be great, thanks.

Here it is just be sure you're on 2.8.6.0. And you should reload theme in order to have the new one selected

After almost ten hours of playing and using this rom, IMHO, it's worth as a daily driver. This is if you can live without button remapping. I can't. Maybe they are there, like ambient display, but i couldn't find it.
Missing reboot to recovery option, from power menu, is neatly implemented in quick tile. By pressing reboot it changes to recovery (and reverse) and by long press it reboots to selected option.
Themes work with no issue, I tried Dazz and DarkMios. Also, hipnotising lollipop unicorn is easily changed to different boot animation, in my case heartbeat line.
Didn't have any reboots, tried latest Mrak kernel after a few hours, also stable and fluid. For the first time incall quality was good without flashing volume fix. Didn't experienced any lags. I used latest aroma gapps. Battery life is, if i can take this test as a valid sample, quite good. Used HERE maps as navigation, listened to FM radio, made several longer calls, instagram, tweetcast, tapatalk... at the end of the day i had enough juice to make nand of DU and restore UB rom
To summarise, yes, this is, IMHO, another very good rom for our "indestructible mini morris".

Love it!
Wow! I love it. Super slick, super fast. I like the customization options that are in there (battery style/colour, date colour/format), hoping that as the Carbon KK rom matures there will be even more options, like for the rest of the statusbar, boot animation, etc. I'd love a battery bar on the top like MIUI/Viper but I guess that's all up to the carbon team.
Haven't hit any problems at all yet and it is super speedy. Thanks so much for the port!!

I really liked the feature that gave me the option to change the colors on the status bar(The battery charge color mainly). I would keep using this rom, but I could not get my live wall paper choice to "stick". Each reboot brought back the default\installed live bubbles.

I used "500 Firepaper". I wiped it completely before flashing, two installs.
A couple more bugs I encountered..
The brightness does not stay on auto after a reboot.
Changing the quick settings for the pull down toggles "Carbon Fibers" to crash.
I was also getting crashes from sound search and now.

I have been using this ROM for past 2 days and have had no crashes and my auto brightness stays after reboot. I can confirm that trying to rearrange the tiles for quick settings will fc carbon fibers. I'll add it to op. All other options for quick settings work. Never tried rearranging tiles lol.
Anyone still using this? If not I'm not going to update

I do like boot animation, and had a pleasure to look @ it for almost five minutes. That long took for first boot. So, patience on first flash. After that, boot is very fast. Now, to setup and restore
Density of 182 is to low for me, will try with 220.

Thanks for infos. Settled on 210 density, now waiting for gapps to update, accounts and Titanium data restored. After i fill it with my apps, we'll see how it will behave. First with stock kernel than with icecode.
Now i noticed. Dialer have FC, no calls can't be made.

No more dialer fc . And yes, custom buttons r must have.
One question - is there any "procedure" that i must follow when i flash new bulids so that i don't loose all system apps. Usually I'm left with a few google apps, rest apps r gone. Since Titanium have a issues with restoring system apps, I'm stucked.

Thanks, but that's what i do always. Titanium restores only user apps, not system - on system apps it state restored but none is. Same thing is with nand backup restore. Can't figure out why, so is there any solution that i can flash a new build and not to loose most if system apps? It's make very difficult for me to upgrade or test roms. Testing roms without recreating "real usage" is no testing for me. And upgrading, with this pace, is becoming annoying

I'm having the same issue. I also had it when I installed it on the original SENSE 5 firmware (with some of the languages).
Also during phone calls people tell me they can hear themselves talking at the other side of the line.
I tried to lower the volume and it didn't work. I tried using headphones with a mic and it didn't help as well.
the issue is solved only by using headphones with no mic. is it only me?
It wasn't an issue when I used SENSE 5.
thanks for this! I just flashed from CM10 after upgrading hboot 2.14 to 2.18 and don't seem to have any problems yet

on this ROM for 2 days, everything seems working good, some time hangs when playing music while browsing on 3G. Apart from not big issues found.
Nice and smooth, but freezes up constantly.
Not yet usable, but seems like it's got a lot of potential.
No problems here, works fine for me. Make sure to clean flash every time and stay up to date with gapps and SU binary.

Yes, I had to update it from Play Store to latest version but that was no problem.
What's strange is that I got no boot animation at all...initially I thought the screen is off then I've switched off the lights and I saw the screen being lit (almost unnoticeable). But after some time it finished boot and ROM started.
Unfortunately camera does not work, I got that "can't connect to camera" message. Also there are some options supposedly in which are not...like the Active Display (I couldn't find any setting for it).
On the other hand ROM is fast indeed. But I still wanna check Euforia cause that one has more options and I think camera works there
EDIT: I've checked and there's no bootanimation.zip in /system/media so that's why it doesn't show anything

I forgot to modify some files that are related to the issue with the boot animation. I will make a new test build today and hopefully this fixes camera too.
Also ambient display will be enabled, I forgot to pick some commits.

I'm running Euforia latest build by Hai96 and it works fine for me idk how to test a ROM like u , but one thing that a bit annoying is that during a massive usage and charging , the phone is getting heated , a thing that didn't happened to me with other ROMs .

This is happening to me sometimes while on stock ROM kernel if I use mobile data alot instead of wifi... Dunno why, could be that mobile data heats the phone more but it happens. Also if phone is charging during this time

Bootanimation is not a big deal. You can release without it if the other bugs are solved and everything works. We can add the animation manually if we have the zip

Someone can explain me what is RRO layer and what change with it?
Interesting, just flashed it and all works fine. Camera works and bootanimation is there. But there is not much settings ((

It's an alternative to Theme Engine. Each has its pros/cons, I won't start such debate here. Just that from my point of view RRO has some advantages so I would prefer a ROM with it rather than with Theme Engine.
Unfortunately, since most ROMs are CM based, comes with TE instead of RRO so it's hard to find one that has it

With boot animation you mean the Android standard one that only have the word android with white letters on black background or?! Or do you have the xenon HD boot animation?

On the second boot I got also the default Android animation but thats playing when no other animation is set. And I've checked in /system/media and there's no bootanimation.zip there
With camera could be the old issue on some LP ROMs and thats random...sometimes works, sometimes don't.

I can confirm this. There is the standard boot animation - android in big white letters. Camera works, works not...

Install as any other ROM
Below guide is inspired from this CM13 post.
Unlock the Bootloader (Fastboot Mode = Vol. Up + Power)(Command: fastboot oem unlock)
* Flash a custom recovery (Command: fastboot flash recovery name.recovery.img)
Download AICP ROM and Open GApps (ARM64/7.1) and copy to the phone
Reboot to Recovery (Vol. Down + Power)
Do a Full Wipe (will delete everythings so make a copy of your file to the microSD card)
Flash AICP ROM
Flash GApps
Reboot the phone and wait (the first time will take a bit of time)
* Using twrp 3.0.2-0, there will be 2 red error lines when flashing - just ignore.

Looks good to me, even though I don't know the recovery. It should work, since it works for CM13.
However, you can try with the official twrp. That's the one I link to from OP.
guys.,. anyone had time to try it?
on CM13 i'm experiecing problems with AUTO ROTATE screen.. is becoming a bit annoying !
I'd like to know if anyone experienced this problem with this rom, hopefully i'll have time to test it myself in the next days !

@Osleg reported rotating issue in the CM thread. I had it once on this ROM as well.
I was messing with stuff in "Developer options" and at a point the rotation totally broke. I wasn't able to revert the setting, so I flashed the ROM again and have not had the problem again.
I suspect the "Multi window mode" broke it, but it could be other things like a bad behaving theme.
Could you think of any specific changes you have made previous to your broken rotation ?
Aside from that, the build has been stable for me since 22. Feb.

Thanks. There may be something here on CMs Gerrit. We are not alone. Im thinking our v3.10 kernel or the vendor blobs are not yet able to cope 100% with MM and need some workarounds.
It will be fixed.
Installed and loving it, great rom compliments to the dev.
Is it possible to move apps to micro sad card if so how or if not is it on th to do list.
Cheers.

I don't know about moving apps yet. But you should be able to format the sdcard as ext4 and use it as internal data. I think you get the option to chose the first time you mount the sdcard. I'm sure there is a guide somewhere

1. DarkSideOrange theme. One of many variants: http://youtu.be/l5wuc7bKO-o
2. Long press an empty area of the screen, chose settings. Disable search bar.
This rom is only getting better and better.
Latest build outstanding.
Cheers
Ok 6.x.x Google camera video mode force closes. But the 5.x.x.x version works perfectly. Appreciate it if you have any ideas.

I can't even find the Google cam, do you have a link to the app. Or do you mean build in camera?

Just got the latest from apkmirror once installed it shows in play store then when you uninstall on play store you get the option to install the 5.x.x version which works fine. I think the 6.x.x version is for the nexus at the moment.
