My XDA IIi can't receipt messenger, but can send out. At first, it's very normal. After one month, only can send. I've never changed setup. And messenger server number is correct. It makes me become crazy. Can anybody help me figure it out. Thanks advance.
Nobody can help??
I realize that there's been a lot of people wanting an invite for google voice and i haven't really been interested in it. HOWEVER, since installing Fresh 2.0b (love it), I'm interested in google voice. Can someone send me an invite?
EDIT: Just letting everyone know that I've requested an invite from google twice in the past 3 months...heard nothing
i don't have any yet, but i bought mine on ebay for $1.59 and it was legit... as soon as i paid and checked my mail inbox the invite was there... I know i paid for something that should've been free, but $1.59 wasn't going to kill me, and i didn't want to wait for someone to have a spare invite

I just went to the market when I was using Damagecontrol and downloaded it and set it up, worked fine, but IMHO does not replace VVM! But then there is no VVM on 2.XX!
If anyone has any left i could use a few..

Thanks Alot!
you don't need an invite. sign up for one, then go to the market and download the gv app. when it asks you to login, use the same info you requested the invite with, done.

EDIT:
Sorry qouted the wrong post.
Worked well for me...i got the app and put in the email address...worked...then had to dial *73 instead of *28 to get call forwarding...not sure why tho

You need to disregard that and dial *28googlevoice# now. It told you to dial that number cause it didnt recognize your phone correctly as Sprint.
Anyone has any spare invites. Tried the method someone posted however as someone else mentioned got the phone could not be verified error.

A sprint rep told me to dial *73 instead of *28 bc *28 gave me an error
I just wanted to point out that you guys without an invite are not really experiencing google voice. It is a service not an app. It just happens to have an app. So without the service your missing the whole point of what google voice is....
With that said GV would not be a good replacement for VVM without the entire package.

I was able to get the Whole Service without an invite. It initially just set up as voicemail, but I logged in online and requested to change it to a google number and it all went fine. Now I have a google number instead of the general # that only works for voicemail.
***CONFIRMED THAT THIS WORKS***
come get ur google voice account, i have used all the features i know how to use including multiple greetings for different groups and getting a personal google voice number that Im able to foward calls from that # to my cell.
just install the app from the marketplace and follow the setup instructions, then go to google.com/voice and sign in with the email you used and setup your google voice number! BAM!
i need one too tried youmail didnt really like it [email protected]
I still get "Your phone number could not be verified" if someone has invites I sure could use a hook up.

What is it that makes Sprint VM better than Google Voice voicemail??
They both have an app for your Hero
On both you can click and listen to your voicemail
Oh, Google voice transcribes voice to text for free.
I think using google voice for just voicemail is still better than Sprint VM.
Please can someone or anyone please suggest an apps that I can use on my nexus one to send out multiple text and mass email at one from my phone. I have been searching for weeks with no help.
I want to at least be able to send out to like 30 or more people at once. and yes, my n1 is rooted.
Thanks
What about My Friend Book http://www.androlib.com/android.application.droidmatic-android-myfriendbook-xAAm.aspx
Thank you, any idea for a good dialer app out there?
Handcent for SMS/MMS is great, can "tag" from a contact list, im not sure if there is a limit, as i have never encountered one, but that's not to say there isn't.
And cant you mass email with the generic gmail app? Id check before i posted, but my phones in the middle of something. If this thread doesn't have an answer for that by the time i can get back, ill update this answer.
Hello beautiful XDA community! How is everyone doing on this fine valentines? I hope well! Since I dont have a valentine, I thought I would spend tonight with my most closest thing to me these days..... my tablet
Anyways all jokes aside, I want to use my vegan tablet to make phone calls over wifi... or even tether the connection from my samsung captivate galaxy S... is there any way to do so?
Like, I'd like to be able to call actual phone numbers and not "SIP"'s ... is that even possible? LOL, I installed a few apps, but the write ups are so damn confusing!
Thanks!!
Alex

LOL, thanks!
I actually tried that route a while back, and the activation code that sipgate sent to me doesn't work... LOL, I even cut and paste it from the email they sent me and their website says it's invalid.
I have actually sent their support team an email a few times regarding this, but now one ever responds ... and when you call their support number it always goes to a voicemail with no call back.
LOL, just my luck heh? Wanna share your activation code with me?
If you have a Google Voice account, try installing Sipdroid from market. When you run it, it'll ask if you want to create an account on pbxes.com. After that you can call out to phones from your Gtab.
If you go into your GV settings using a browser, you can receive calls.
That's what worked for me, but caveat is I had stuff like the GV app already installed before I tried this, and I'm not 100% sure if anything other than Sipdroid and a GV account are needed.
Good luck,
Jim

Thanks for your tips!
I may be doing something wrong, because whenever I try to make a phone call from sipdroid it will attempt to make the call, then just end it.

Well, it looks like I got something set up right... cause the little log in is now registering with a green light. THe problem now is that when I try to make a phone call, it tells me that the call can not be placed at this time... Any idea of what I can look into and why it's not allowing me?
TIA!!!
Are you using Sipgate or pbxes?
The issue with your sipgate code may be that it expires after something like four hours. I ran into that and I just re-did my registration and got a new one sent out to me.
I didn't go with PBXes because I saw something about it requiring my Google password. I'm not down with handing that out in the open like that. So I stuck with SipGate and I've had no problems.
Let us know with service you are using and I'm sure someone can give you some assistance.
Thanks for your reply! I am using sipgate with with pbxes... am I totally doing it wrong?
Im sorry, Im actually using sipdroid with PBXes... sorry for the confusion.

Sipdroid it is. Sipgate seems to be over subscribed. I am not grasping how to make this all work either. Could you put together a detailed process map or how to?

Install Google Voice. Install Sipdroid from Market. don't go to the pbxes.org website and create an account; let Sipdroid do that. (My big error). Sipdroid will make an account on pbxes.org on your behalf. Use sipdroid to make call.
I now need to figure out how to use my bluetooth headset to be the microphone. Other than that it worked out of the box. Although I apparently sounded like I was "underwater".

Thanks for your info, it is greatly appreciated!
I am really confused with all of this!!!
I have a google voice account/ With number
I have an IPKall account/ With number
I have a PBXes account (that I made on their site) are you saying I should
delete that now? I dont see an option in sipdroid to make a new account (from the tablet)
I am so lost here! I am getting mixed up information all over the net I did some research and I keep seeing posts on other sites saying I need to "PAY" for voIP svc.... But is that some type of hoax? I think it can be done with just google voice and sipdroid/ pbxes.
All I want to do is make phone calls from my tab ... its so hard!
Thanks for all of your help everyone!!!
can you use these with stock TNT? I have market fix and enhancement pack.

I had done the same thing as you going to the pxbes.org site and setting up an account. I couldn't get it to work. I went back to the sipdroid app, started it up (make sure your network connection is working obviously) and it set up the pxbes.org account automagically. It worked for there. Asked me my GV number, my google account password (it needs to log in to your account to forward calls). I didn't try calling in only calling out but that worked fine. Proof of concept for me as I would just use my cellphone or landline but it did work.

Wow, it really was just about that simple! I had to call my google voice number from my cell phone first to activate it or something. After I did that it worked perfectly.
Thanking you.

2.01 beta is what I have, and it automatically created a obsession acct. I think you had to set things up manually before, when they had the older version. There are some webpages that go through the steps, but they were too confusing to me, until they added the acct creation.
BTW I get an FC when I try to start the dialpad. Is that working fir anyone?
