Stock firmware/ latest modem i337m
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3082758

I can confirm that Goldeneye functions very well on Canadian i337m
Great developer and well maintained. Uses latest 9505 S4 firmware and with an aroma installer you get to specify Canadian i337m options. All we need to do is update and/or change modem (baseband) using Odin to install latest Canadian carrier firmware. Goldeneye has ROM options and kernel choices that also function well with i337m phones.

Awesome, thanks for the input first rom on the list. Hopefully more input also comes along and makes life easier for people comming here with jfltecan

Just updated post, I'm now personally on kangapop, runs hella nice and its gpe (google play edition)

I can confirm @Albe95 S6 Lollipop works great on my i337m

PAC man room for jfltecan works absolutely amazing. There are build just for our phone. Personally I find most lp ROMs work best if you have the most updated boot loader and modems. Cheers

Was just checking this one out earlier, glad to hear it runs well, I'll add link to op, also where can you find the most up to date modem/boot loader for our jfltecan, thanks, will also add that to the list

Not sure where to find it but I can look. I got the most recent modern and BL by downloading the stock firmware which for me was 4.4.2. Then I immediately got the notifications for the ota updates. After updating was finished I rooted and added recovery using twrp manager from the play store. Sammobile is a good place to get stock firmware.

Op updated thanks for input so far

So far I've ran kangapop, which is a gread stock aosp type ROM with behind the scene tweaks (with the aroma installer I chose googymax which played very nice). And I've also ran PAC man ROM, which also has been a really good ROM, super customizable (cm12 theme engine, etc.) which I'm currently on. Both scored equally on antutu for me. Have yet to try GoldenEye and the s6 port. Thanks for the input so far tho, hopefully little less confusing when someone new to the s4 comes along, I've been an avid flasher and was lil confused at first coming to the s4

I'm downloading the 4.4.2 version for Bell Mobility. I had problems with my modem and HTTPS in the past. Did this resolve the issues for you?
Also I saw that sammobile had the 5.0.1 firmware. Did you install those?

@Albe95 S6 ROM had been updated and is awesome. Also Miui fans, Miui 6 is also available

I installed my stock software from sammobile.com that the phone originally had. I think it was 4.4.2. Then when you restart the phone you will get notifications to update over the air. Let the updates install. There may be as many as 3. Then you will have stock oc4 and modem and bootloader. I then rooted and installed twrp.

Have some good news here, I've been asked from an awesome developer if we would like validus ported to the jfltecan. Validus is kick ass, I run it on my Hercules ATM. They don't post much stuff on xda but if interested here's the community link

I currently use Danvdh's GPE http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557353 Works very well for me. If I understand correctly, we can use any rom for the i9505, just haven't played around with too many yet personally. Love to find one with Gpu OC support, a little bit extra would go a long way for some games, and I don't mind my battery being used.

Thanks op updated, gpu oc would be great, and some extra schedulers like one of my favourite on other devices, tripndroid

This is hulk kernel. Works great. Has oc. I usually use imperium kernel and sometimes ael(found in echo Roms forum) The I9505 Roms that work really well on our phone are imperium, kushan, albe, also echo works amazing with lots of features. Screen mirroring doesn't work in most s6 ported Roms but they are fun to use. Echo rom isn't on xda(long story) but it is flawless on i337m. Google it. They have their own forum. They are a very helpful and friendly group. AntaresOne does a really cool cm optimized rom with f2s file system. It works well. He offers detailed instructions and his own twrp version for his rom. Happy flashing...! If anyone runs into any problems or had questions, don't hesitate to ask...

Carbon Rom for Galaxy SGH I337

I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are developing Carbon ROM for our SGH I337 phones. I found these links when playing around on GOO.Im - the most recently nightly was posted on 6/3. I downloaded and flashed and it is just as awesome as I remember Carbon Rom being when I had my NOTE 2 - - go here and try it your self. I love it - have not had any serious issues and think this is going to be a very special ROM - remember, don't blame me if your phone blows up or starts to grow hair and scream like a banshee ) YMV -

I am not sure why they haven't started a thread - but it really is worth your checking out.
If you like what you see and I have helped - don't forget to say thanks!
Awesome news. Ran carbon on my S3 for months and it's my favorite of all the ASOP roms. I'm still deciding between the One and the S4, so this just puts another tick in the S4's favor.
The devs behind that ROM, used to be on the LiquidSmooth dev team.
LiquidSmooth and SlimBean are my two favorite ROM's.
Carbon was nice on the S3 but wasn't really updated very often.

What do you mean? Its updated every night. I guess the stable builds are updated about every month but all a stable really is is a nightly build with a stable tag on it.

It worked on mine. But I didn't try booting stock kernel from jflteatt build. I flashed a custom kernel and that caused the bug I saw on my Note 2 with Carbon.
You have to let the ROM fully boot with the stock kernel before you flasha custom kernel otherwise when screen is on all 4 cores will be on and pegged at max frequency

I could be wrong but I believe you can flash any rom you want as long as you flash a loki'd kernel afterwords before restarting the phone

And...this is why they didn't post a thread yet. Maybe you should wait until the devs are ready to post a thread before you put them on the spot?

Download goo manager. Install latest twrp 2.5.0.3.(can probably use whatever recovery but I used twrp and it works) Download carbon rom latest nightly. Download Gapps regular 5.21.13. Task has them linked in his op. That's what I used. Boot into recovery. Wipe cache/dalvik/system/data. Flash carbon. Boot set dpi to what you want . I use 361 like slimbean(skip if you like stock dpi) Reboot recovery flash Gapps. Wipe cache/dalvik again. Boot and enjoy carbon sweetness.
Before the questions start. Bluetooth and wifi still cause issues. Kernel is stock 384/1.89. No underclock. Rom is smooth and fast. AOKP based. Lots of tweaks very similar to revolt rom without multi per app dpi.

I am really impressed with the CARBON ROM - just awesome - I am using KToonze's Kernel for AOSP and am getting Antutu Benchmark Scores over 24500 - not that it means that much but it gives you something to crow about - ha ha, mine is bigger than yours, ha ha
No issues and am currenly on nightly for 6/5 - there have been new updates posted every day on http://goo.im/
I just go there and search for "jflteatt" and I see whatever roms have been uploaded for that device -
Very smooth ROM - very fast -
Sweet AOSP -
Definitely a great rom so far. I'm more on board with being a user of frequently updated roms. Battery life has been great too.

Could I just use (this) instead to root then proceed to install a custom recovery ?
Thanks for the fast response.
This is great!...I thought most tmo devs had moved on...thank you soooo much!
I am the new owner of a used g2 and I have my stock rom rooted. I have been waiting to select a custom ROM and finally someone has come up with something that I am going to try. So your new ROM will be the cherry popper.
I've been on AOSP/CM based Lollipop ROMs for a while now. I've wanted to try LG's 5.0+ and I think your ROM is a good excuse to pull the trigger!
Will flash it this weekend.
Thank you very much for this. WIll upgrade from 30a.

Awesome! Many thanks for this!
Quick question, if I changed the DPI to 400, do you think it'll affect Lollipop in any way? I did that with KK ROM's with no hitch so just making sure it won't on this one. Thanks!
Did you try AutoRec for the 801?
Looks great! can't wait to try!
I can't wait to try this on my TMO G2. I am and have been running a stock firmware simply because none of the other interesting TMO G2/G3 ROMs offer wifi calling (which is a must when in my place).
Again awesome looking ROM! I was just going to run AutoRec then load this since I'm on a stock firmware. Shouldn't be any prob's right?
BTW, Which superUser version is on this? Any bugs to look out for?
Thanks!
Thank you for your work and time. Now to the question What exactly has been "debloated" from this ROM?

Most basic bloat stuff. Don't really have list. Just do a backup first.
BTW, no longer have TMO G2. Returning it and probably get a G3 or G3.

I followed the instructions exactly and my TWRP went from 2.7.0.0 to a newer version (can't remember the exact number off the top of my head). My understanding is bootstack installs Twrp.

I am working on porting the S6 apps, however, I work on this at school and don't have time to test it. Do you want to help test 'em?

Thanks man. I won't be giving you the full ZIP, just a few flashable ZIPs with the S6 apps. I have homework to do tonight, but I will begin tomarroww.
EDIT: Don't mind my spelling... i'm just... tired...
On a side note (pun not intended): I wonder how difficult it would be to port a Note 4 ROM over to this device...? They have almost identical specs...

Maybe I uploaded it wrong...? Try this one and tell me how it goes. If it works, I'll put it in the thread.
Is it me or are there 4 forums with this rom ?
Downloaded and flashed. I had to use the 2nd file you posted for Odin.
So far it seems pretty smooth, I like the keyboard, the whole rom has a fresh feel to it.
The one thing that doesn't seem to work is the download booster.
I'm really looking forward to check out battery life
Thanks
Battery Mod not included?
Is there a jkruse Zip to flash for Dark Dialer and Contacts that is compatible with Plasma?
people still having weird bluetooth issues with this rom? It might just be all lollipop roms but im hopeful.
Needs a little work
The rom seems to lag here and there but majority of the time it runs smooth, as for the battery life... i mean no offense but its far from amazing . it seems like something system wise is taking a good chunk out of the battery. i checked all the user apps and stopped/uninstalled some them, however no improvement. On a good note the dark mode was a very smart move (thats what pretty much sold me flashing this rom) and the organization of the settings is nice also. i think everything in this roms is pretty awesome except for battery and lag.

There we go! Teamwork!
Good job man!
Xposed does not work with 64 bit processors currently, but there is a workaround for lollipop which doesn't help us. If I'm incorrect on any of this please let me know.
Great to see another rom! I just want to have someone disable the safe headphone warning stuff...please?

Per my understanding you are correct. Not to mention it would need to be deodexed which isn't mentioned so I'll assume its not.
Thanks for the rom @Misterxtc!

I'll be happy to do it if I can find instructions for the mod. Things are going to be a bit crazy around here for a few because I'm picking up a new puppy today to welcome in our home so I'm not sure how soon I can get to this. Most likely I won't have much time during the day as I did in the past. I'm with you 100% on disabling the volume warning.
Gonna ask a noob question.....
If i flash this with flash fire, will it trip knox?

No - it's my understanding that you would have to do something to the bootloader to trip knox

I am fairly experienced with flashing roms, but i am new to Verizon and new to flash fire. I came from T-mobile/HTC and never had to use flash fire.

This thread is the most recent resource I'm aware of. Again, the 64x is the current hangup though so some hurdles need yet to be cleared. But there is still useful info in there as it pertains to 5.x Xposed so maybe you'll be the guy to make it happen. By all means no hurry, we're all on the front end of this thing right now anyway.
Also, congrats on the new pup. I had a rough time much like yourself recently re: the long time family pet. Glad to hear things are back on the upswing. :good:
Hello!
Does this rom have a Brazilian Portuguese language?
When you guys say that the rom tripped Knox, means that the fingerprint scanner should work or not?
The Fingerprint Scanner still working on this rom?
Thanks for all and sorry about my simple doubts! I'm newbie...

BHB27-Kernel can be used on this rom, get it here, you'll probably want to grab his kernel auditor while you're there...
For optimization, you can also install IntelliProfiles 6.0 from @Debuffer, get it here

Woot! Looking forward to flashing a new ROM. Maybe I can get VoLTE working on this.

#SomethingForTheSignature
Edit : A couple of issues I see
1) The file is bloated. Like, actually bloated to about 140% of its usual size. My builds have been ~270mB without Gello browser and ~310mB with Gello + Snap, so I guess there's plenty of bloat apps in there or you have huge vendor trees.
2) Why u mediafire? You can keep them on my server or throw them onto the far superior AndroidFileHost (after you get developer status and FTP access, may take a couple of days) using the command I will obviously share with you over Hangouts if you want.

1) Yes, it's stock from AOKP, and I didn't remove any apps or anything (but may in the future)
2) Because I haven't signed up for AFH yet, but will. I know people were eager for a new quark rom, and while I really appreciate your server, anyone with the link can prowl around and download stuff that I'm not ready to publicly share :good:

Yes, to both. I've been meaning to add some more info to the OP, but I got distracted. Will get back to work on it now...
If you are coming from RR, you can make a TWRP backup of your data partition, and after 1st install and boot of aokp, and once you are at the home screen, reboot into twrp and flash your data backup. It should boot with all your apps and settings. This method worked for me and Neporood.
I lost LTE signal when I did it on mine, but clearing modem status fixed it for me. I dunno if it will affect anyone else, might have been an app I had installed.
Enjoy!
Do you have volte?
If VOLTE doesn't work on CM13 or RR what makes you think its gonna work on this?
None of the custom ROMs (aside from CF) even have the files needed for VoLTE (IMS and numerous related frameworks and stuff). With that said, I'm in the process of attempting to insert all the necessary files and get VoLTE working.

I would consider CF to be modified stock ROM running a stock kernel. CF is a modified Verizon XT1254 debloated stock ROM, is it not?
For instance, all the custom ROMs have to run CM-based kernel, correct? Even AOSP Mokee and the now-discontinued AOSP Nexus Experience -- which are not based on CM -- still use CM kernel. Even BHB27 kernel is based on CM kernel code. Whereas CF is using stock kernel, does it not?

Correct. That's exactly why I excluded CF's ROM. While it is a "custom" ROM in the sense that it's not stock, it's built on stock as an optimized/modified stock ROM. It's the only "custom" ROM to have VoLTE for Verizon, and technically the only ROM to have VoLTE on any Quark, since all the other custom ROMs don't have any IMS files.

Do I have to make a data backup? I usually just download new apps because I usually have issues with using backups.
