Why is there such a slow development for Xiaomi Note 4G. And how come there a only two-hour custom roms for Xiaomi Note 4G while there are dozens for Xiaomi Redmi 1S.

Oh god，I don't like xiaomi3 at all.
I am using Xiaomi 2s, and I like it but it's a little bit heavy when it compares to others. Xiaomi 3 seems more lighter than Xiaomi 2S. As far as I am concerned, Xiaomi will be more and more popular all over the world, and it's a good idea to create a forum for Xiaomi 3.

Never underestimate any phone,they may be cheap but they are powerful yet
When I am addicted to my Nexus 4,even I thought that these chinese brands do not make a impact.
After using Mi3 for 2 days,I traded my Nexus 4 for a Mi3.
If it is possible,try testing it and post ur review here,so that I would be happy

Hi all,
Not sure what area of XDA this belongs in but would greatly appreciate some form of a reply to help me in my decision to get a new phone.
I have narrowed down my choices to the Umi Zero and the Xiaomi Redmi 2. I have had great experiences with a Redmi 1s, especially after putting Cyanogenmod with Lollipop 5.1 on it. As such I know this is a phone that is reliable and would expect the Redmi 2 to be similar in that regard although Cyanogenomd is not yet available for it.
The Umi Zero seems like a real giant killer but I know so little about Umi. I have read great reviews about this phone but wonder if people on here who have used it could recommend it? I don't have money to waste so it would need to be a phone that will last me for a considerable amount of time and has quality hardware and software.
The best prices on both put the phones close to each other on price so any opinions from the good people on here would help me to make my decision...

Mediatek Dimensity 1200 has open resource architecture so there would be no issues at all in any of these devices with the chipset.
Even Xda isn't allocated forum for F3 Gt then there is no hope for custom rom development

Seriously, I don't recognise the connection between custom ROM development (or the start of it) and the availability of a dedicated device forum. On XDA you find many development for devices that don't have their own device forum. If there's no developemtn for a device it must have other reasons then the lack of a device forum.
Exactly my point. Nord 2 released same day as f3 gt has a forum. Also x3 gt released later than f3 gt has a forum . Don't know what problem devs have with f3 gt

Issue is in the minds of people who just run away after hearing mediatek name.
Heck, I even heard someone saying "mediatek doesn't suit me". Is it a clothing item, that it doesn't suits you?

I so agree with you. Now that almost every brand including OnePlus, Samsung and Nokia are using these mediatek processors, I wonder why people would behave like that.

Not all smartfones have forum in xda and never will have. For example many realme devices like realme 7 5g, realme 8 5g ...
in opposition to poco m3 pro 5g or redmi note 10 5g (all are very similar ).

I think you need to research. Poco f3 gt and nord 2 were probably most hyped phones in last quarter and many users have purchased the F3 Gt. And by many i mean huge numbers. it is still quite popular and many folks comments on new device forum requests page to add that phone forum. But xda seems to be sleeping
yes dimensity 1200 has become open source ( oneplus nord 2) but no custum rom yet

It seems like there's little interest for the xiaomi 12x as of now. But if more users request it, XDA team may then find it useful to create a Xiaomi 12x section.
I am also interested in a forum for the 12x, I think it was this one, since they are very similar

I don't know about the sales numbers, but as you can see here in the xiaomi.eu stable downloads, the xiaomi 12x rom have more downloads than the xiaomi 12 and the xiaomi 12 pro together. So yes, I think there is interest in the device.
