Since the update my cameras shoot button has moved from the edge screen (one of my favourite features).
Can this be changed in settings or does anyone know where I can get the original camera apk?
Thanks in advance, David
Does the update fix the blurry start up?

You need to go back to Kitkat if you want that feature....
That does suck. :crying:That was the whole point of having the edge so you can move everything off the screen. Hopefully it is a setting somewhere or a change that can be made.

Hasn't been found yet and I know that it was a feature that was wanted by a lot of people.
I welcome the change.. Was not very natural feeling on the edge when taking landscape photos. But having the option to change between the two choices would please more people.
am curious.. did the same happen to everyone who updated their edge to the 5.0.1 version?

Yes. It is part of the lollipop update change. No way around it as of right now that i know of. I hope someone comes up with something because i really liked it on the edge

That sucks. Thanks. I will stick with my 4.4.4 till a change is made.

It made my note edge a note 4 with a smaller battery. This is what Samsung gives people that spend another $100 for their test product.

Hi all, anybody has an solution for sorting apps alphabetical. I have a S6 international and have no option to do that. [emoji17]
Thanx
Hi, I don't own a Galaxy S6, but I do have some info to share. While online reviews show the Galaxy S6 app drawer having an A-Z in the top right corner, I saw no such feature on the S6 I got to play with at my local Samsung store, which is probably on pre-release software. So maybe a software update will fix it.
No such button in the top right corner. I'm on Lolipop 5.0.2 which is the most recent. I think it's a shame that this is not possible.
I think only the T-Mobile version has it.
Manually sort them for now until Samsung decide to push a fix. Or you could use a different launcher.
[emoji17]
this is sucks. i saw it in the shop too, wonder how, why.
I don't have the international version, I'm on Sprint. But I have an option in the top right hand corner when opening the app tray. It says A-Z and sorts it for me. Hopefully a fix comes out for the international version soon, for you.
Yeah hope so
Hope Samsung Sorts this out, my apps folder is a mess right now with 11 screens with some apps here, and some apps there, and im not going to spend an hour to sort it out manualy.
My AT&T Galaxy S6 has the option to sort apps in the top right hand corner.
The problem is that one has to hit the "sort alph.." every time to make it sort correctly!
They sure missed some basic stuff in this version of TW.

you'd have to add extra lines to the others.html file in csc folder and i think it's the only workaround for now. your phone needs to be rooted with the latest supersu from chainfire. i did it and it works.
What other lines?

Don't want to root as Samsung is releasing updates frequently for this device now. Any way to have A-Z without rooting the device?

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to know if it was possible to get the gs6 features on the gs6. I would like to get the contact shortcut on the right side for instance.
It would be great if someone was working on it.
Cheers
+1 That would be awesome. Since it's only a software functionality, it shouldn't be so hard to port, right ?

The edge version has features? Here I was thinking it's a bent phone for $150aud more than the straight alternative.

It has a really nice quick access to 5 favourites contacts and a night clock. Both on the edge.

Please give me the apk. It's not on play store in France

To activate Edge Contact in your device, you will need to swipe up from the home button. This will activate a selector on the first try, from there select Edge Contact as default and you should be good to go.

It works! When I hold on the home button I can access to the shortcut. I also set up Edge contact as default application for the home button. However, when I slide up over the home button nothing happen. And I can only click on the contact to call them...
Basicaly I only have circles and I can pick my favourite contacts but I was more looking for something like this: http://phandroid.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-screen-settings-DSC08583.jpg or with options at least

I flashed the 925T firmware on my 920T. Only thing I had to do to make it work was use our own boot.img. The contact shortcuts are the only thing that worked as far as the edge features go, we'd need a kernel dev to fix an edge kernel to use the correct axes for touch.

It's pretty straight forward. Flash the rom then flash a kernel for your device. Does the fingerprint sensor work for you? That's the only issue I had with 925T firmware, but it may have been caused from deodexing.

Can someone with the sprint variant on kitkat check the music effects menu in settings (at the bottom of the sound menu). I can't open mine. Every time I do, it crashes, and I think it's because I don't have musicfx/soundalive/both (whatever comes preinstalled). I'm not sure why I don't have it though. If you have either, mind posting the APK?
Edit:
Dear lord I thought at least someone would have responded by now. At this point, I'll take the APK from ANY US carrier Note Edge on KitKat.

No problem.
Someone will come along eventually . . . (I hope)
On the 6.0 update?
For me...
1. Faster fingerprint reader/unlock animation
2. New keyboard layout
3. Finally having an option to switch to pin code for alternative option if fingerprint isnt working
4. Adjustments on touchwiz
5. Google now on tap
6. New emojis
7.Faster phone ?? (hopefully)
Is speed an issue? My Note5 is smooth and quick. *shrug* Now on Tap is actually pretty cool. I don't use a protective lock screen so I don't know about that. I'd like to be able to activate Samsung Pay with a swipe up from the S-View window, but that won't happen.

Speed is definitely not an issue lol, but there are somethings that need a speed improvement.. such as the fingerprint reader. I just hope i dont see any lag. Im assuming you use Find my mobile? if you dont use a protective lock screen. And i dont use samsung pay or NFC payment for that matter, but i understand your struggle haha.
I could root my device, but i choose not to. Reason being is it will possibly lose value once Knox has been tripped.

I do use Find my Mobile but I also use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rickclephas.fingersecurity to lock certain apps. It only locks those apps when I am not connected to my WiFi or my cars Bluetooth. Maybe with the new fingerprint API I'll lock the whole phone up.
I also noticed when watching marshmallow beta for s6/s6 edge is that the capacitive buttons dont light up when touching the screen... which is a smart move from samsung. It saves battery and it makes sense. It only lights up when pressing them or when pressing the home button.

I hope they fix the keyboard lag I have with every keyboard.

Actually it makes no sense, whatsoever. The entire point of the capacitive buttons lighting up when you touch the screen is so you can see them in the dark in order to press them.. lighting up when you touch them makes zero sense, why would I need them to do THAT?

It only takes about an hour to learn which is which... Its unecessary for the lights to turn on everytime you touch the screen, its just pointless.

They didn't light up because it was a Beta and the rooted kernel broke it even more on some devices, but made them work better on other devices. There's also mods you can use to just turn them off if you don't like them. Xposed. Or just go into the settings!!!
Also, just because you don't like them being on, doesn't mean that they are pointless. Tests have also been done to see just how much battery life is affected by Capacitive buttons and you can't even tell how much they use.
By the way, a lot of people like myself, work in dark places and have to use our phones. Think about that for a minute.:good:
The only thing I'm looking forward to is a phone that doesn't get an update and have it cause the phone to be worse than before. Right now my stock Note 5 works just fine.

Galaxy S7 screen not responding to touch sometimes. The bottom portion of the display is affected. I tried 6 different S7 and all of them have the same problem, test yours like this and tap gently not hard, when you press hard you press 3mm on the screen and that is a lot ! The problem is worse when the phone is cold (20C) This is annoying because the place where its not working is the same place where the space bar is and the "." Does anyone else have that exact problem? Here is a video of the problem : https://youtu.be/OW_FQBMcuOE

Install Phone INFO app (green adroid logo) see when the phone is manufactured, mine is 2016.02.18 ! maybe the first batch of the production have that problem! We might be on something here!!!
There are two threads already open with this situation.
I have this problem at the same location you demonstrate. The right side has this problem too. From bottom right to the top 1 cm and 2 or 3 cm up you are going to reproduce the same thing.
I get used to it but it is very annoying. Never liked Samsung because of this things. They use low quality material all around. I will never trust them.

Just received H9 update and the release notes did not mention anything about LCD, touch screen or anything related to it.
But since the update, I've been trying to reproduce the problem trying to find the blind spots and for my surprise I did not find anything. The touchscreen is perfect and I can feel it is more sensitive.
Before the update I could reproduce the problem very easy! Now it is perfect.
The update here in my region (Brazil - ZTO) was about 170MB. Samsung Cloud was introduced.
Wow, mine was manufactured 2 weeks ago (2016.08.16) and I've owned it since about the 24th too, so it was 8 days old when I received it
