i got a nova light hands free bluetooth system in my car.
i can only use it for telephoning ...! but the sound of the voice out of this device is great .. so i thought it would be nice to have this device as bluetooth speaker to watch movies in car jams or something ...
in bluetooth settings there is a point that says device is connected to telefone... not to telephone audiosystem...
is there a way to get that done ? maybe a app or something ???
thanks
I don't know about the rest of you, but I have serious issues with every car dock launcher I've tried with my Infuse.
Basically, I have less than a 50% success rate launching any app from a car dock interface and I'm about to scrap all the dock apps and just use the stock Android launcher when the phone is in the dock.
Symptoms include (none of these happens every time, but most of the time)
1. Bluetooth connect failure
2. Bluetooth connects OK, but fails to deliver any sound from music apps
3. Bluetooth connects, but phone insists on using speaker instead of BT
4. Bluetooth connects, but phonebook transfer never completes.
5. Music app (Doubletwist or any other music player) hang and force close
6. GPS fails to find a satellite
7. Pandora cannot connect to server
None of these occur when I stick with ADW as the launcher in car mode.
Anyone else having these problems?
Hi everyone,
I am an owner of the GSIII I747M and the ASUS Transformer, both running ICS. I recently had this idea (fantasy?) where I mount the Transformer in my car, hook it up to the car speakers and basically use it as my in-car infotainment system instead of the headunit that's in there. Nothing wrong with my in-car headunit (except the fact that I can't get bluetooth to work with my GSIII), but the tablet will give me tons more features. When I enter the car, I want the tablet to automatically tether to my phone via wi-fi and via bluetooth. Wi-fi is for internet access and it works just fine. The bluetooth is for the hands-free profile, so that when I receive a call, the music/navigation/whatever gets interrupted and I can take the call. I also want to be able to dial from the tablet.
When I connect the two devices via bluetooth, I don't have a hands-free profile; indeed I have no useful profiles at all. My question is simple: is there an app for that? Any suggestions? Has anyone done this? Thanks!
TabletTalk will let you answer/make calls on your tablet so long as it's pair to your phone and you're on a bt headset. It also handle your phone's SMS.
AutoTether can automatically tether your tablet to your phone hotspot.
Thanks, but that's not quite what I was like for. I won't be texting and driving, even on a tablet. I'm looking to use my tablet as a BT headset. I can pipe my output to the car's speakers and the tablet has a mic, so I can use it to talk on the phone while driving. Is there an app that can do that?
That would be awesome!
Let me know if you figure it out
I'm looking to do the same thing... Maybe it's time to learn how to code for Android. I've done some interfacing with BT at the driver level before but it was back before BT even officially came out, so there was not a Handsfree Profile ;-)
I couldn't find an app or anything that does this, so I think I'm SOL until someone makes an app with this capability.
I am trying to setup Tasker so that when connected to the bluetooth in my car it will launch the Nissan Connect app and then Pandora. Then kill them when my car disconnects.
I have the profiles setup and when I test them when NOT in my car they work fine. When I AM in my car the profiles switch, but the applications do not launch.
can anyone help me figure out why?

Let us see what you have??
Whatever car app I am using on my S6 it will open BT but not autoconnect to my htc stereoclip bt receiver in my car. I have unpaired and re-paired many timed. The only solution is to shutdown the bt receiver and restart it, why is the S6 not connecting by itself when the app ask it to?

So very annoying. There's an app called bt auto connect, try that. It only worked for me occasionally, but maybe you'll have better luck

Tried it but nothing changed, the only way to for my S6 to connect is doing it manually or to turn off-on my BT receiver everytime.
I ordered NFC tags but I wished there is a fix.
It looks like samsung TW is forbidding auto-connect for a weird reason
