What the recommendation about fast charging.
I was thinking about it the other night and should we fast charge our S6 nightly or should we go back and use the normal cable or even the charging pad which is just as slow
I'm not a super smart teck person but I'm thinking the fast charge over the longer period of time cant be good for the battery.
any ideas
When the battery is full, the charging just stops...kinda. So you have nothing to be afraid of.

Well, it would charge your phone as any other charger, and at twice the speed (at first!) but the battery would stop lasting as long after a few cycles of using the touchpad charger.
Most Android phones seem of use ~ 800ma to 1ma current input, whereas the touchpad uses ~ 2ma of current input for charging.
So, in short - Don't
The phone will draw the current it needs and no more, the charger does not force current down to the phone. So in short - go for it
I've heard it was fine. But I'm still scared to mess something up. lol
Been charging my phone with the touchpad charger and had no significant battery deterioration. It seems like the phone does not charge as fast as it would using its own charger, but it could be my impatience getting the best of me.
I've been charging my Evo 3D with the Touchpad charger for about a year, with no ill effects. Probably a placebo effect, but it seems to charge faster than the standard HTC charger.
like others mentioned there is should be no ill effects as long as charger is working correctly, it only pulls as much as the phone will let it (in my case with the sensation its 1amp) and the tp (and subsequently the charger) goes into fast charging mode when it detects the right amount of resistance...
I have a strange problem about fast charging after marshmallow update
When I plug my phone it's say fast charging but it's not
I noticed that's battery charge like slow and phone is cooler
When I plugged the charger and put it on again my device charge a Real Fast charge battery is real charging device get warm
I tried to charge when phone is off and every thing is OK
But I always have this problem when I use my s6 and I have to notice device temperature so I plug charge on and off if the fast charging is FAKE
Sorry for my bad English
My 1.5 year olf Q6 is charging very slowly. The battery backup is still 1 day. But the charging rate is very slowly. It shows 3hrs+ for a full charge! What can I do?

get a minimum 2 Amps charger, this phone supports quickcharging (at least thats what i see, and what others said). the stock cable is fine but you might have to try another cable if your charger is already a quickcharge compatible. i can charge from 0 to full in about an hour with 2 amps, you might get better result with a better charger brick but i can't confirm.
I have a V30+ charging brick. That's QC 3.0 Will it work? EDIT: just tried it. It doesn't work. My phone has never shown Fast charging. It just shows charging. The stock brick is 5V1.2amps.
Which brick do you have?

i forgot to tell you it won't show anything that tells you its on quickcharging, the only thing that shows is the faster charge estimation, please try again and observe. my charger brick is a samsung adaptive fast charging with 2amps maximum rating, your charger should be better than mine. borrow another fast charge compatible brick if necessary, and also cable quality matters. else, welp might be hardware issues...
Tried a fresh cable and the stock charger. The old original cable was the culprit for the slow charging time. Charging time has come back to original fast levels. But it's the same with the V30+ charging brick. Don't have another phone that's QC. But will try if I get an opportunity
I'm using Battery saver in Maximum mode (with VIbration enabled) + Comfort View (highest level) with Grayscale. With moderate usage, it takes two days to drain the battery after fully. Though I recharge it at end of every day for an hour for the battery durability. I've also replaced Home with 'ap15 launcher which for me has proved lightest and most practical one.
My lg q6 canadian variant came with fast charging. It's region dependent. Though i don't know if you had fast charge on your variant
Same as my DSK unit. Charging slowly for about 5-6 hour with original wall charger
Question!
How do you charge your phone? What type of charging do you have selected?
-fast charging
-super fast charging.
I use a 25W charger and I have super fast chargers selected. I try to charge the phone in the range from 30% to 85%. I also have the battery protection option selected
I always use wireless charging, and I place it on the charger when I go to bed, and pick it up when I get up, as I have for the previous S20 Ultra, and before that the S10+, and the S5 before that. I have never had a battery problem, don't baby it, use it!

I use the 45W (SUPER FAST CHARGING 2.0) and of course enable all options for battery health.

I do the same as you. Have wireless charger on my bedside table and one in my car. That's all I use and don't worry about battery dying on me.
I bought an Anker 45W charger, and I have a question.
On my first days, should I use it or use a normal charger? Use health protection or not?
After those few days, I have a meross Smart Power strip , WIFI, that I can schedule each plug individually, even the USB ports. I usually put 2 hours charging for my actual phone and 1 hour for my Galaxy Watch 4. Is this ok? Can I keep the 2 hours for the s22 ultra or reduce the time, since I'll use a 45w?
Thanks for the advice!
I plug it into a 25 watt charger at night. Unplug it when I wake up. Charge as needed throughout the day.
Currently on my 3 year old Note 9, awaiting delivery of my S22U, as with previous phones, I disable fast charging, if the phone has the feature, as it generally isn't good for battery life expectancy. I always plan to keep my phone longer than the one or two years many people do, so battery health/life is important to me. I have a timer-socket adapter, like this, I use for through-the-night charging, whereby, I set a timer duration, depending on the battery level at bedtime. I'll perhaps set the timer to be on and charging the phone between 4 & 5:30am. Apart from the first few charging cycles of a new phone, I don't like to fully charge/discharge the phone often, only occasionally. I top the charge up during the day, if need be, in the car etc but I never use wireless charging even though my car has the ability to. I'll probably start using the wireless charging with my S22U though, as not using it probably doesn't lengthen the expectancy by much. I appreciate battery charging technology has improved greatly recently, I'm just stuck in my ways I guess.
Everybody is talking about charging the phone between 20% and 80% but what about the result? What would the capacity of the phone be in the end of three years of usage if someone charges his phone in that range? and another thing, when you charge your phone, from 20% to 80%, you charge your phone more often than compared to 0-100%. It's said that If you charge your phone more often it's battery will wear off faster, in the other hand you will charge it less with 0-100 but this time your battery will wear of faster because of the known reasons. I'm a bit confused here. Is there any data compares the result of the both cycles after some time?
Baseus 65W GAN charging brick. Bixby Routines set to disable super fast charging at night and enable Battery Protection. I have another automation that reverses that before my wake up alwarm so it's still full when I wake up but stressed the battery less.
Pretty much as the title says. My device says its fast charging but it takes hours to increase only a few percent. Its charging faster through my battery bank with 10.5W charging then the super fast charging
Do you have selected fast charging in battery settings?
if yes and not fast charging, try to restore factory settings.
for last, its the charging port problem, i have the same at mine 3 months ago.
in warranty i changed de charging port and a new battery.
