[Q] Kudee Android Tablet

I bought this chinese tablet online and am looking to mod it, but cant find how to install an english bootloader and recovery.

I have been able to root using z4root. Figured the button combo for bootloader, but as it's booting to recovery it gives me an error in chinese and restarts, booting to OS

I got the same Kudee about a week ago in HK and I was able to rooted it with z4root too. When I keep pressing the 'home' + 'return' buttons while powering up the tablet, it go through the recovering process sucessfully without errors.
From your pics, I can't see the usual internal micro sd card slot found in other tablet so you can upgrade the internal storage. I was hoping to upgrade the rom from 2G to 8G.
Also, I was trying to dump the firmware using dd but no luck coz I still couldn't figure out the device name used under directory /dev.

[Q] Problems after flashing n8000 (booting but screen is only BLACK)

hi guys, can somebody help me to solve my problem when I flash my websong n8000 (same like star n8000).
what I've done doesn't meet any success.
I've try to flashing whole rom that can be found in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695210&page=1
and i also have change the display setting using SPMDT but it didn't work
my screen still black but it is booting and the touch screen is also working.
Help me guys.

Display Contrller problem for N8000
Me Too. I got this phone with a July 27 version.
I did not want it since the internal 2GB cannot be used with App2SD.
Flashed with July 5 firmware using SPMDT and was able to succesfuly downgrade.
But now screen is totally wrong colors. Mostly black, but still able to see the UI, just that no colors. Just black and pink.
I hope somebody helps us in this thread since we cannot post in the official N8000 thread if we are a new user.

Hi, I have this Star N8000 and been doing help videos on youtube over the last 2 weeks. I was able to put apps on the 2GB by going to Settings->App->and I select (Move to USB Storage). I have a 32 GB micro sd card. with my media installed. I moved as many apps off the 512 that I don't need as it will slow the phone down. As for you guys issues, I would recommend not flashing any rom on the device. There is just not enough info to properly identify it. You can either go by led flash position. The Haipai version is the same internal and for some reason its more easy to identify but its running the same MTK 6575 Single Core 1 ghz processor as the Star N8000. The Roms are optimized for the extra screen size so that explains it.

You didn't ubderstand me.
Of will work for you because you are moving it to your external sd card (32GB). But I don't want that. I want to move it to the internal sd card (2GB), so I can have a lot of apps even of I don't have any external card installed.
This version can't do that. If I do not put am external card, the move to USB storage is greyed-out in the app settings. It means it cannot detect the internal card as an installable partition.
Anyways, I was able to fix it after finding out that there is a different display driver from a uboot.img of a different firmware, that I need to flash.
Jul 5 version is still the best l, in my opinion.

Me too, I also faced this problem after flashed star n8000, I flashed 2 firmwares of Feb 16 and Jul 5. My phone display is black and pink, still can see the UI and touch's work. Anyone know this, pls help. I really appreciate, thanks in advance.

I've been really desperate
I bought a new device on eBay
I tried to flash the device an older version of Android because the new one does not have Hebrew
Now I know I have to choose just the Android and not all the components but that's after the fact
Now the device turns on with a blank white screen
The device turns on and I hear the keyboard but the screen is blank and white
I read on the forum that I should use SP_MDT software fot flashing tool but I can not figure out how to use it??
The SP Flash Tool v3 tool is very simple and I got along with him ... But the second tool really not sure what to do.
I beg you, help me please to solve this.
EBay seller does not know anything and said this device is not supported
he sent me this file e1808_v75_jbl2-ota-user.root but it cannot be used by the SP Flash Tool v3 (scatter file cannot be chosen)
It seems to me that this file should install in different way (maby i ned to conect the phone as mass storge and put this file in the root near the download/music/video folders and after to boot with some Buttons trikes??)

Hi. My phone is a UBIFs phone with specs

SM G900H (but on the sticker on the back of phone it says (SM G900F)
its an s5 clone
i have also rooted my phone using shuame,+SU
i looked at the storage on settings
INTERNAL PHONE STORAGE 16GB
PHONE STORAGE 16GB
but when i connect my Phone to computer it only shows 17MB. and there are always 2 drivers. REMOVABLE DISK E: AND REMOVABLE DISK F:
i put some apk files on my phone. and when i try to install it. it says i have to manage apps AND IT TELLS ME TO FREE UP SOME SPACE CAUSE I AM OUT OF SPACE.
and i really wonder since NOTHING IS ON MY PHONE, NOT A FILE, NOT A PICTURE, NOT A VIDEO. NOTHING. ALL APPS IN MY PHONE IS THE NORMAL APPS.

It sounds like your Partition is corrupted. You will need to flash your Current Firmware along with a Correct .PIT File with Odin. Please Review [GUIDE] EFS/NV_DATA full backup and restore manually -- Extract / Post your pit file
for PIT Files in general and for the specific file of the Variant you have. In addition, you may also wish to review S5 Firmware Thread for the right firmware. Please post in [SUPPORT THREAD] The Galaxy ~S5~ All in one support thread!**NOOB FRIENDLY** if you continue to have problems.

This is a Risky Choice. I think Your device had a change of Motherboard. That's probably why you see 900F on the back but tool detects 900H firmware. I think you want to go with 900H.

[Completed] Root and Flash ROM for device not in list

Hi Guys!
I want to Root and Flash a custom Rom onto my tablet. I can't find it in the list however so I'm a bit lost with instructions on how to go about it.
My tablet is branded as a "Swag Tab" and it's name is "Swag Expert 703". It's a 7" tablet.
If I go to "About Tablet", tis is the main info there:

I'm obviously a newbie so I would please like to find out if it is possible to Root this Device and Put the latest available ROM on it? Do you get something like a "Generic ROM" that would work on most devices?
The main reason I want to do this is because I can't install apps on my SD card. It installs either on Internal Storage or on "USB Storage". I don't even know what is USB storage. I googled how to install apps on the SD cards, and all the info suggest I need a newer version of Android than my current 4.4.2.
If I go to "Storage" I can set the default Write Disk between USB Storage or SD card. No matter which one I pick, I can't install new apps without removing old ones. My SD card is a 32GB card with 30GB free!
Thoughts, suggestions please!

Need help for D2 tablet

Hello all!
I posted and read all around the forum, but can't seem to find anywhere any answers to my problem.
I have two identical tablets at home, mine and my bf's. Both are Digital2 Platinum (D2-751G2-BK) bought at BestBuy for Christmas. This model doesn't seem to exist on the manufacturer website.
So mine had some issues with an app and I decided to factory reset... which caused Google Play to disappear completely.
Since then, I tried to find ways to re-install it (unsuccessfully - keeps on saying "unfortunately, Google Play has stopped" as soon as the tablet is turned on), tried to modify the "hosts" file, tried to reinstall some files, tried to erase some old apps, etc...
So I come here to simply as where I can find a ROM to flash it back to normal since I can't seem to find anything that will work... Or any idea of solution that I can try since I don't know what to do anymore.
The tablet's specs are:
OS: Android 4.4.2
Processor: DualCore A23
Memory: 1GB DDR III
Storage: 8GB internal
Firmware version: 4.4v1.0

Update...
Just re-installed all for Google Play store. Still won't download anything or update anything... I can browse, but can't do anything else without it closing. Still can't find a way to edit the hosts file anymore either.
