I am considering your help regarding FB app on Xperia E3.
Until yesterday, the Facebook app that I had on my phone was the one preinstalled, that came with the phone itself. That version was the one I used until now. Yesterday, the app told me about a update, promising me that "is the fastest". But the design itself changed a lot. Nevertheless, for example, I cannot longer swipe from the left to the right for viewing newsfeed, groups, etc; all these features being available in the right side of the screen.
My question is if someone can give me a link to the original Xperia E3 Facebook apk.?
I tried downloading old versions, backdated to september 2014, but the design it the same!
I hope you understand my problem and I kindly wait for your answer!

Try to uninstall the update of the app. It should help

I have been searching my hat off for this and couldn't find someone else with the same problem as me. I don't know if this is also the correct forum to ask this (there are so many), but since I have a TF300T, I thought I'd leave this here. I hope someone can help me further with this. Any help is appreciated!
If I get a new message with Gmail, I get a notification, which is very nice! There is only 1 thing bothering me, and that is that it will display a preview of the message with the sender. It will display the sender and the subject on the bottom right corner when a new message arrives I believe and if you tap on the bottom right corner a taskbar thingie comes up with even a preview of the message. I would really love have those previews removed and the only thing I would like is a notification that I have a new message instead of all the previews. I don't know if such thing is possible, even if it's with an external application. I just love to lock my devices apps (yes my gmail is password protected) and don't want everyone to see my incoming mails when using my tablet.
Like i said before, I hope someone can get me a step further in achieving this so I can get rid of my only annoyance of Gmail for Android and any help is appreciated!
I'd also like to add that I love the TF300T! I just got it a few weeks ago and have a lot to get used to since I finally decided to upgrade from my Gingerbread device The TF300T just screams value for your money, thats why I ended up buying it in the first place

Please Standby!
Asus has released news that in March they will release a 4.2 update for the tf300. Android 4.2 includes multi-user features. At that time you can set a second user for others to use and they will only have access to what you have allowed.
4.2 is available in a couple of custom roms now but stock is on the way.

Hello guys...!! Sony Xperia E gets new firmware update (11.3.A.2.33). My PC Companion shows this update on 3-July-2014. Hope it will give less lags.:fingers-crossed:
I personally not see any new in this update regarding new features and new options The new thing we see in first look is new and updated apps of google in app drawer. i.e. Updated playstore, hangouts (replacing google talk), Play Magazines, Google Settings, Play Movies, Play Games, Play Books, Google+. And also a new Build Number 11.3.A.2.33. (Previous 11.3.A.2.23)
How To update Sony Xperia E (who don't know how to)
1.There are two options to update XE i.e. using PC Companion and Sony update service.
2.Just Follow onscreen options/instructions to update XE in these softwares.
You can Easily get these softwares from Sony official site or simply search google.
Note: 1.You must have proper drivers install in your PC to update XE using these two sony softwares.
2.You can also go to nearby Sony Service Center to update your device.

Maybe this is the last update... the 18-month lifespan is almost up, and no sight of stock 4.x (x is an integer larger than 1)

Android L is the "new" android.It has to be android 5 i think (not sure read it somewhere) .

Yes I also think that it is a bad joke of Sony. We don't see any new features and options in this update. But I hope that this build number 11.3.A.33 gives less lags as compared to previous one. :fingers-crossed:

I am also not see any new in this update regarding features and options. The new thing you see in this update is new google apps in drawer and new build number 11.3.A.2.33.

You can check Sony PC Companion or Sony update service for updates. In case you don't see update information in both softwares, you can wait for 2 or 3 days because update depends upon regions also. ( I see update information on 3 July 2014 in my PC Companion )
Please use one reply not 4 and i dont mean about where to download.I mean that i want to know what new in the firmware.
What's new in this update?
1) low lags
2) AOSP support
3) New google apps in stock firmware.
After using this new firmware i observe low lags. When i use my mobile after 2-3 hours it sometimes lags a lot.(in previous firmware). But now i feel less lags in stock launcher. ( it still sometimes lags....but gives better performance than previous firmware)
It takes less time to load apps which are stored in internal memory when i restart my device.

No no.
The 18 month policy is followed only for google phones.
So we can maybe expect another tiny tiny update just like this.

Also for samsung and some other brands. Sigh, keep hoping... XZ still receive updates...
And i dont want small updates. All the last update did was editing build.prop, wipe cache+dalvik (to give slight speed), and add a lockscreen. Apps are not even updated. All of us want a huge update. A 4.4 in the right time could even iron out the camera bug in CM11.
And, what did u say? Do u think they'll make an update because of a mail? U know what we need.

Does the new update have a new lockscreen?
Community - Not gonna work,many people have done that stuff.

I have the same problem with custom digital watchfaces and date-widgets (the day's number is not displayed)
Yes dates are gone too, but the time displayed has nothing to do with actual time...

when I tried to change the watchface and try a new one my SW2 powered off and now when I try to power it on I see the Sony logo then the upgrade firmware progress bar and an endless boot loop with the same result... I have tried everything but I can't use it now....

I have no problem with watchface, but music widget seem not working, include Play and forward button
Latest firmware update broke any analog custom watchface, date is no more displayed and hour hand don't sign exact time.
I think Sony had to release a patch asap, SW2 is the better smartwatch for value on the market, it needs only a better software. Sony made a good job in the past but now lack in debugging and release a poor software update.

I used PC companion and updated my SW2 by selecting the previous model because there is no SW2 there and it worked! :highfive:
I've compiled ClockWidget from Sony's SDK samples, just in case. They're broken in absolutely the same way.

You can always try emailing [email protected]. Google Play has a policy that developers must respond to support requests within 48 hours else they risk being suspended from Google Play store. I've emailed them as well as their developer support so hopefully we get a response soon.

It would be a miracle if Sony did anything at all in 48 hours time. OK, lets wait and see what happens.
I have open a tiket from sony in italy. Waiting for response.
i've sent a mail to the address @julz mentioned, better than doing nothing
I've also tried messaging Sony via Facebook so hopefully I hear something back. I've also reached out to one of my more friendly contacts in Sony Australia to see if there's anything they can do internally to escalate the issue so fingers crossed!?

Wow guys, you have so much issues with this update.
I updated the smart connect app and sw2 app, it updated my watch and I kept all my watch faces and everything works flawlessly!!

So the other day I wanted to install some email app, yes K9 and Fairmail, but the functionality and the UI of other wasn't that appealing to me. While Searching I found a port of Sony mail, installed it, was using it, when I suddenly thought why not scan it on virustotal, to my disappointment it had some bad stuff going on.
So I thought why not make own, tried to learn and finally got successful in porting some major Sony apps, namely: Email, Music, Album, Notes. Photo editor.
(Also ported movie creator, but didn't thought anyone would need it, if you guys need it I'll try to upload it too)
I made organised apps based on Android versions. So you won't have to go back and forth or download multiple versions.
Note: if email v16 or v17 don't allow you to add account, install v15 then upgrade.

Always loved the Sony email and Music Apps since my Xperia Z2 days, and up until last year I used unofficial ports of this apps post Z2 including the Lenovo K6 power and Redmi Note 9pro.
Just testing the Email and Music apps again on my Nokia 5.3 Android One (Android 11) device and they work fine with a few bugs in Music:
The music app UI Crashes when I try to favourite a song. Smart playlists ( Most played, Recently played & Fav) don't work and playing music on Gdrive.
Not had issues with the Email app so far.
As an android one user I'm really happy with these ports as they are wayyy better than the default options. Thank you.

As I said to boymantis, I'm really busy for now, you may have noticed I wasn't active for quite sometime. I am having a busy and tight schedule in here. Will surely try when I get time. Thank you I love detailed review, I only wanted email for myself , but yes I like it more than Gmail. This one is so much better. Honestly I don't Google things, I try not to depend on Google so much.

Trying to use Email for Android 10 v15. I get a WebView authorization error attempting to sign in to Google. 0Auth.
I think it's related to Google new auth policy that took effect on October.
Does anybody know a workaround or can you fix the WebView auth portion so I can sign in with Google? Thanks so much

I would like to have the apk file for the Music Player app installed on the Sony Walkman devices (A-Series, A100, NW-A100 series) to install on my Sony Xperia L3 Android phone just for the included cassette animation. I wonder if someone kind who can rip the apk so i can download it.
I understand it won't add any sound improvements and the music player app that i already have is almost identical and probably better for my phone since it was built specifically for phones but that cassette animation is what i want.
I am also aware of the Casse-o-player app which is brilliant but a little too much.
This is my first post so i apologize in advance if something is wrong.

I searched the interwebs for days and i think you are the first person on the entire internet to share those files! You just made internet history! Thanks again!
