Hello everyone,
I own the terminal in question (DX900 VER A147 ITA 040 0502 2009/03/04 12:42). As I imagine you know, this is a DualSIM Phone.
Currently, my main problem is to assign to a key the ability to make as "main" a SIM rather than another.
To do this, on the phone, you must press a key sequence and have a few menu items choices:
Phone (left softkey),
Menu (right softkey),
Down (via the correspondig key on the key pad)
Enter (via the central key on the key pad)
At this point, you have the ability to choose which SIM to activate, the first one (first line above) or the second one (second bottom line).
I tried to achieve this through MortScript and I have succeeded. However, firstly the process is rather slow (I had to insert a pause of 250ms between the various commands to get it to work correctly), secondly the process does not happen in background and finally the process works only on the "today" screen.
Someone has any advice about it, whereas I am not very familiar with programming?
Thanks in advance.
Since "...help yourself that God help you...", "...aiutati che Dio t'aiuta..." (Italian), "...aide toi et le ciel t’aidera..." (French) , I wrote this little program, which I called "SIM_Switch" and which is used precisely to instantly change the main calling SIM.
Just map it on an hardware button and on every press of that button, the main calling SIM change instantly from "SIM 1" to "SIM 2" and vice versa.
No "Pop-up", no "Message Box": just have a look at the Today screen and see how the color of the Operator name of the active SIM change from white to orange, and vice versa, indicating the active calling SIM change.

When I have a SIM card in that prompts for a PIN code there is no way to access the keyboard icon to disable the physical keyboard, and enter the PIN number. So I cannot move past the PIN code request screen.
If I put a SIM card in that does not have a PIN code (or I remove the SIM card) I boot through fine but the physical keyboard always has to first be disabled before I can type anything.
Is it possible to make the small keyboard icon active at the PIN code screen otherwise you cannot boot through to the home screen at all?
Camera actually looks reasonably fully functional but I am having problems with VPN not connecting but I need to test further.

I am sorry.
But what does this mean exactly - Top left top right bottom left bottom right - are we supposed to touch the touch screen at it's corners in this fashion and then press volume up button.
Also on the SIM initialization failed screen, the bottom can't be touched because there is an option to switch off the phone at the bottom.

It will accept a GSM sim. You'll need to access some menus and change some things though. You should head over to the Development section and take a look in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809314&highlight=world+phone
You should be able to back out of the activation wizard (Edit: Duh, I didn't notice somebody already told you how. LOL ), connect on wifi and take care of whatever apps the thread suggests you use.
Found out what to do.
It is (bottom left bottom right) x 2 and then Volume up for the Galaxy S3.

Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
This is what worked for my Verizon phone:
Touch the Lower left corner on screen right above emergency call fast: Lower Right, Lower Left, Lower Right, Volume Up then next.

it is not working on my phone.
Sure that this is obvious but cannot find it.
Is it possible to have the call buttons that select Sim 1 or 2 on the dual phone show a name (like work, private),?
Had dual Moto G and that was simply done via settings menu.
Maybe one of the alternative dialer apps have what you're looking for
I am looking for a button which can disable/enable each SIM at the press of a button. The Moto phones have such short cuts in their settings menus when swiping down the screen.
Why I want this ? Because I don't want constant times 2 radiation from my phone when I am not using either of the SIMs.
I tried an app in the store, think is called SIM Control , but was not working.
